m 34+6 and yesterday all of the sudden in between two of my teeth started hurting every time I ate anything. Now today my gums, just where they meet my teeth hurt so bad and it just makes my whole mouth hurt! I've heard that women can get swollen gums during pregnancy, but it never happened with the last two and just surprised me at how fast it came on. Anyone else having this problem? Hello, Such sore swollen gums can be due to gingivitis,infections,malnutrition and vitamin C deficiency,pregnancy or sensitivity to toothpaste or mouthwash . Take vitamin C supplements for some days and change your toothpaste brand and avoid using mouthwashes if your swollen gums are caused by sensitivity to toothpaste or mouthwash.Also have good oral hygiene. If the symptoms persist then pls consult a dentist and get gingivitis ruled out. Hope it helps.

I had a cavity with my son, and in my early pregnancy it hurt SO bad I had to get an antibiotic for it, also sore or sensitive gums, and bleeding gums are common during pregnancy.

You could also try peroxide and water, its a natural debridement agent, it will bubble and help the inflammation of the gums and get any food particles you may have missed brushing and flossing. I got what they called pregnancy gingivitis with my second child. It was bad, my gums were sore, swollen, and when I would touch them they would start bleeding. That is totally a pregnancy symptom! I'm 30 weeks pregnant and have been having bleeding gums since pretty early on. Both when I floss, and even when I'm just brushing (and I'm not brushing hard). I had this with my first pregnancy as well - it's completely normal, something to do with the increased blood volume/flow.

You may have 'pregnancy gingivitis'. It's a sort of gum disease you can get while pregnant but will go away after you've had your baby. I have it and it's.caused.by my teeth and gums being.super sensitive during pregnancy. y.

I went to the dentist a few weeks ago when I was 20 weeks and my gums were swollen. They said thats common in pregnancy and should go away after the baby is born. They said to make sure you floss&use mouth wash.

So I'm not really "charting"my fertility signs again yet, just cervical mucus mainly. But I'm pretty sure I ovulated around the 25 to 29th of December. For over a year I have been experiencing sore and sometimes inflamed and swollen gums. I have seen both my dentist and hygienist and we have been unable to solve the problem or what is causing it. I take extremely good care of my teeth so I was surprised when I discovered that the top right side of my gums and my bottom right side of my gums (exact spot), appear to be irritated and sore. I went to bed knowing that the bottom was irritated, but I thought it might just be a canker sore, and when I woke up, the top was irritated too. Your gums have become irritated it's common in pregnancy, I'd recommend seeing a dentist and just having everything looked at.

The one on the upper right has cracked and chipped twice over the past 7 months.The tooth has been digging into my gums and is uncomfortable to open my mouth too wide. Recently I have a frequent headaches and sore throat that also feels tight by the adam's apple. Is it common to have these side effects with chipped teeth?
