She has a standing script for percocet due to a neck injury. I have recently found out that she is now snorting it. I understand addiction as I come from a very addictive family, and I guess maybe she is not getting the high or "relief" that she once was from taking them orally............... " she says that yes, she has to preserve what she has and snorting them makes them last longer". believe me I am no dummy, been down that road before with people.
A friend of mine is snorting percocet and she hasn't had any for at least a day. She is starting to go thru withdraw. How long will this last and is there anything I can do to help her get thru it? It kills me inside to stand by and watch her suffer.

I just read this post and am not sure how helpful my response will be now...but, I am a week off snorting percocet and oxy contin now and feel fantastic! i hear ya tho on the sinus and nose pain, even your eyes. I will tell you what helped me, right or wrong it WORKED for me, with of course the will power and the want to quit it.
Percocet is one of the safer drugs to take in pregnancy, depending on how often she is taking them and how many.... most likely the baby will go thru withdrawals after birth.
I am not knowledgable about the difference in taking the meds orally versus snorting them- I think it just changes the rate of the effect of the drug- I don't know if the snorting aspect would have any implications to the baby.
I have been taking these for about a week, either a combonation of one pill orally in the morning and half a pill snorted at night or snorting half a pill in the morning and the other half at night. I have 7.5 pills left but I don't plan on asking for another refill next week when I go to the doctor. Can anyone tell me about when, typically, you start to become addicted?

For the past year of my addiction i have been snorting them. Should i switch back to oral dosing or will it bring severe WDs? I have been snorting pills for about 3 years, hydrocodone, percocet, any pain killer really also have been smoking oxycotin. If i have been only snorting them. When i start tappering off of them if i took them rather than snort would that be the same as reducing how much i take a day? Or should i try and reduce and just take them normally? I am convinced my fiancé is addicted to percocet 10/325 which he is prescribed 4x daily. He gets his prescription around the first of the month and I have noticed a pattern in money disappearing from our account every month at about the same time. (about 2 weeks prior to new prescription.) On two occasions I have walked in on him snorting the pills. He says its because his pain is so bad that he sometimes snorts half a dose to get the meds to kick in faster but he rarely does it.

My scripts run out a week early and my dr. said he would boot me if I kept running out. Usually I can make it but lately I have had trouble with the withdrawel affects. Hello, I am writing to get some advice. I have been addicted to percocet mainly for hmm about 3 years now. I was addicted to speed as a teen and quit that and then at about age 30 I fell into pain meds. Really any pain meds I could get my hands on. At this point I have been going to a pain clinic for a condition that is not really there to get the meds and then when I run out of those I an getting them off the street, I am up to 4 30mg tablets a day.
I have been snorting perks (Percocet) for just over 4 mths now, I was trying to numb myself from an issue I was dealing with, I recently delt with my issue, now I am MORE THEN READY to stop sniffing these pills, I have tried but after 4-5 hrs my nose burns sooooo bad and my throut feels like it has a blade in it, I guess its fr all the damage I did in the past 4 mths.

What kind of damage could snorting Vicodin and/or Ibuprofin cause. I found out that my cousin did this a few times and I am so sad about it, I want to scare her out of NEVER DOING IT AGAIN.
