after 4 days on 175 mcg of synthroid, i am flat out in bed - aches all over my body and every inch of my skin hurts. not coughing or sneezing so doubt it is the flu. possible that it is the brand change? or the dose increase? or am i in left field? will check with my doc tomorrow but interested in knowing if this could be cause.

Can I get the H1N1 nasal flu shot with addisons? It is not the shot, it is the one they spray up the nose. I do not think they have the shot form with the H1N1 flu vaccine. I already got the regular seasonal flu shot. They nasal spray flu vaccine contains live viruses, so that's why I am asking this question. Thank You.

I've been away for awhile because I caught the dreaded H1N1 virus and even before that was feeling sick a lot. Now I have pneumonia and just started and antibiotic yesterday. . .but all my cats have also gotten sick. First Katie had runny eyes and was lethargic and seemed to be feeling yucky. Then Roxy seemed to have the same problem, then Charlies, then Rusty and now Abby. They all had the watery eyes and the same eye seemed to be bothering them.

My 15 year old daughter is recovering from what I believe to be H1N1 although not confirmed on viral swab, clinically consistent symptoms and contact with confirmed H1N1 sufferers. During the course of the flu she developed red scaly patches on her torso and a few on her arms. There does not seem to be any other possible trigger for this, it is not pruritic or weeping but it is spreading.

Personally, I usually stay away from crowds/and or close contact with people coughing and sneezing and wash my hands and the door knobs and water handles often during the flu season. So those are my thoughts. That it is more beneficial than not. I still get the flu shot and both of these things have helped.

Just was wondering has anyone out there been diagnosed with the H1N1? If so how are you doing? What are your symptoms and how bad is it? Did you have the vaccine at all? Did you catch it after or before the vaccine was administered? What are you doing to take care of yourself? What did the doctor prescribe after finding out you have it? If you don't have it do you know anyone who has been diagnosed with it?

(I did read that gullain barre is one of the things doctors are supposed to look for with the new H1N1 vaccine and report to the fda but I could not find anything that said it was occurring a lot...) I'd just like to read more about it before I make a decision.

after the headache started to cool down and get better I had a flue for about 5 days with no high fever, only sneezing and runny nose... 3:after that I felt dryness in my upper mouth and swollen lymph nodes in the right side of my neck then I went to a doctor and he told me that I'm having a high blood pressure..... and now after all of that....I feel mostly ok...no tiredness...no severe headaches....although i feel it sometimes quickly and it doesnt take long......

I think alot of it has to do with trusting your instinct and going with what you are most comfortable with, with this and pregnancy in general.

i had H1N1 and it was not much if any worse than norm flu (cant say for sure cause never had seasonal flu), however my charge Nurse at work got it, and gave it to his 2 kids, one is only 1 1/2 years old and they say she is VERY sick, so I think its worse on kids, I am praying for her and they DO say she is getting better.

Thank you sir, but is that 1985 blood screening is in the U.S only right? Does it count third word countries in Asia too? I was born in a third word country before our family refugee to USA. This blood transfusion I got was back in my native country. I think I'm OK because it been 20 years since that blood transfusion, I still don't get sick. Well except one time, I got knock down hard with the H1N1 Flu, but my body fight it off without any medicine help.

Got mine after DH was actually diagnosed with H1N1. He spent two weeks at his moms basically in isolation from me while I went through a whole course of Tamiflu. I then got my shot three days after finishing the meds. I am now 26 weeks and little britches is fine and kicking up a storm.

I wanted to give everyone the heads up that Legalgirl5, Susie, was hospitalized for 8 days with H1N1 and pneumonia. She became suddenly ill, with a temp near 107* (brain damage level), and spent several days on the brink with bacterial pneumonia and the flu. She is home now and off the oxygen, but is very weak and has had major new neurologic symptoms - a clear and severe relapse. She was in the hospital during the first week in December.

How I understand flu shots in general is they pick the strain that they expect to be bad the following flu season and they use that strain to make the vaccine. I thought they just did the same thing with the H1N1 strain but they have to have it in a different shot because they had already made the seasonal flu shot and they couldn't go back and add the H1N1 to the vaccine. So...therorhetically the H1N1 and the seasonal flu aren't too different except for which strain they use.

About a week ago on Sunday I started to feel really tired along with headaches and some mild diarrhea and it lasted roughly 2 days, then on Tuesday I developed various cold symptoms including cough, sneezing, congestion, running nose, and further head aches. This lasted until Friday and then I started having worse diarrhea (5-8 runs a day), Nausea, along with exhaustion but less of the other symptoms.

I work in a hospital in a critical care unit right now we have a 25 year old with H1N1, pneumonia, AND strep B. He is on ventilator. I was on the fence about getting the vaccine and after I saw this poor kid I thought...I HAVE TO GET IT!!!

Very sorry to read about your loss and that explains you heightened concern. Still, I think you are doing your heart more damage, or at least stress, with worrying about what the H1N1 might do to your heart. I haven't heard any reports of concern about people with heart problems. Further, I read the H1N1 will be mild in most cases, even if one gets it is isn't likely too difficult to deal with.

ve been having a bad cough for 4 days. Today with the cough i have stomach pain and diarrhea. No vomiting. What should I do? Let it pass, maybe it's just a stomach virus or go see my PCP?? I'm scared now with the N1H1.
