Sneezing on dogs

Common Questions and Answers about Sneezing on dogs

Avatar n tn Sneezing dogs, this time of the year, is a sure sign of allergies (especially if they're fine throughout the rest of the year). What RedHed1973 said... Benadryl. We actually give ours the regular kind (non-drowsy of course). Works like a charm and stops the itchy skin, watery eyes, runny nose, eye boogers & sneezing. Late April through August is allergy season for our girls, so we stock up on Benadryl big time during those months!
Avatar f tn Now the last few months she has suddenly developed reverse sneezing. The reverse sneezing seems to be getting worse as well. She RS if she gets excited, runs around, plays, or even just doing nothing. We have her on Hydroxyzine two times a day (I think 10mg.), but it doesn't seem to be doing too much. We have tried her on Benadryl (dose recommended by vet), but that did nothing. I have suspected candida, from all the meds she has taken in her young life. We are now giving her 1/4 teasp.
694466 tn?1227681402 This blood test should be run annually on all dogs. Is your dog on heartworm preventive? When was the last dose that you gave? It is not possible that she contracted heartworms from the kennel. If your pet has not been on heartworm preventive, it would be a good idea to take her to the veterinarian for a blood test. Is she sneezing or coughing? Does she bring up any phlegm when she coughs? Any discharge from her eyes or nose? Let us know how things go....
518117 tn?1429279873 And I love her dearly like I did my Hiss. I want to help Paradise with this sneezing. And I know my friends here on the cat forum, just may have some good suggestions for me. Thank God for this forum, those that devote such time and caring into this forum and God love all the little kitties on here that are having problems. When God made cats, he sure knew what he was doing didn't he? Such special little furry friends. Thank you.
Avatar n tn (non chemical) cleaning products and guess what? no sneezing on a monday. Just back to random sneezing - oh, it's SO not funny! I just want to go and sleep and wake up when it's all over.....
796506 tn?1370191905 and of course I had to wait 30 minutes for that! (I also had the dogs food to go get because they somehow managed to get into their 17 lb of dog food and ate a ton of it and at 50$ a bag not cheap!) Getting the dog food took me another hour to get there and home! D@mn rush hour traffic! So here's the sad and funny part... I got home and started peeling potatoes for the mashed potatoes I was making for dinner and I sneezed and OMG I peed my pants! OMG! I couldn't believe it!
82861 tn?1333457511 He knew how bad I was feeling and hung right in there with me .Dogs are just the most loyal friends in the world .What on earth would we ever do without them ? I hope your babies are okay and feeling much better soon !
874521 tn?1424120397 thx Red I will pass on all this info to her, she has very few carpets in her home, but I would assume that Marley would rub her chin on that as well(?). the wheat tip is also good to know. Thomas, Red was referring to just BULL DOGS...he and my daughter both have and they break out under their chins and paws. Is the Benadryl the human form? avail at pharmacies?
682891 tn?1226696230 I like many others I have seen here played football, basketball and spent many more years in martial arts. Further I used to power lift on an extreme level for many years on and off. I haven’t been to the gym in about a year due to continuing education and a L5 injury that never stops nagging. My heart rate and BP are within normal ranges, not great, but definitely not bad. I am probably about 15 to 25 lbs. over weight, nothing extreme.
Avatar f tn my chihuhua is sneezing, coughing and has a wet chest. I can't aforrd the vet now and looking for help ? He "Monkey" has never had this before and he is nine. I had a heartattack and was in hospital 2 weeks and sick at home for a month. He was suppose to be vaccinated sept 1. He isn't vaccinated yet this year and going next week to do so. He has developed labored breathing, couching, sneezing and doesn't do it alot but never before.
Avatar m tn Dogs ear twitches quite often... Been to vet recently... Just took dog to vet, female, beagle mix, spayed, 8 1/2 years old--Sophie. Only issues she ever had was an occasional UTI and ear infection due to the floppy ears of beagles (and mixes). No diet change. Over the last few weeks I noticed a recurring but slight ear twitch in both ears. No scratching, no rubbing on carpet. Does not occur during sleeping or laying fully down with head on floor/bed, etc..
Avatar f tn But mine was more on the right side. When I went to lay on my left side, I guess gravity pulled on it and made it worse. The funny thing is, is that I hadnt really experienced much discomfort in my abdomen at all.. that is until now. What helped last night was to gather some blanket and stuff it under my belly (while laying on the side) so that the strain was off my pulled ligament. As far as the swelling goes.. I didnt expect that I would swell.
Avatar m tn But has anyone here not thought about the possibility that people do 'fake' coughing and sneezing as a way to try to tell you or people around them something? Like, a form of non-verbal judgement? I always get the implication or vibe that people cough or sneeze to judge me. Like to non-verbally convey that "I don't like you" or "I don't like what you said or look like". I feel like this is a thing.
Avatar f tn She is very fit and healthy except yesterday she was sneezing. I thought at first it was because i was spraying perfume on myself to go out(does not happen often!) Today she has a slight cough, which sounds raspy, then she gags a litlle afterwards. It happens more when she gets excited or has been running round with our slightly older dog, who is fine. She is eating well and fine in all other respects. Should i be concerned?.
Avatar n tn has allergies and she walked in the examination room and started sneezing sneezing sneezing and holding up her hands infront of her face infront of me.
Avatar f tn Im around dogs all the time, but I have never actually gotten welts or anything, only sneezing and stuff like that. I considered mosquito bites, but all of the welts are on one side of my face and all over the side of my neck. And I rarely get bitten on the face by mosquitos anyway. I've had the welts since friday, and I have no changed any face wash or soaps or anything. Not sure if anyone can help me, but im kinda desperate.
Avatar f tn Anyone out there take ultram/tramadol? This drug has turned me into a tramadol prisoner. I am having a hard time stopping and I know I need to . I have taken this for a long time. First, I was prescribed this med and then I found other ways to get it. Knowbody knows I take it as much as I do. Anyone....have some advice?
685623 tn?1283485207 The article goes on to say that about 1 in every 10 people are allergic to dogs or cats. That figure corresponds with an ABC report I read where about 15% of people are allergic to pets. Still, it's hard to imagine that with more than 100 people on every flight and hundreds of flights daily, that this has not come to light sooner. So, is it simply that not enough people fly with their pets in the it less of an issue than the Canadian doctors are saying?
Avatar f tn Dogs barking, outside light kept coming on/off. Larry got up at 5 am sneezing, turned lights on, made coffee. Didn't sleep much after he got up.
Avatar n tn It is pathetic that I feel guilty going to the mall and spending a few hundred dollars on clothes for myself but won't think twice about spending that much on pk every week. I must have wasted at least $20,000 on drugs in the last two years. I want to thank all of you for your support even though I feel so lame for having to come in here and tell a bunch of strangers how weak and pathetic I am.
Avatar m tn The only other things I have going on that MAY be related, is an upper back pain/numbness... unknown cause. Been going on for years though. No diagnosis. So basically I'm out of ideas, and about to go insane. It's terrible at night not being able to sleep because of that feeling, and not being able to sleep with my girlfriend because I keep her awake with my constant moving around and itching...
Avatar n tn I too seem to suffer the exact symptoms, as is always the case it is nice to know you are not the only one suffering these symptoms. For me they seem to come and go and are mostly on my right & left arm & right leg, I have also had on occasions small blisters on the roof of my mouth towards the back (I am not sure if this could be linked but having thought about it a bit the thought now crosses my mind).
1375427 tn?1278730730 Has he been sneezing? Sometimes sneezing can cause nosebleeds in dogs. Also, it might be possible that he is having 'reverse sneezing' attacks (which are quite common in dogs, and quite mysterious. No-one really knows what causes them. However if those breathing issues ARE reverse sneezing, that in itself is usually quite harmless. But of course it might not be. Dogs can and suffer from asthma-like symptoms. So I suggest you get his breathing fully checked-out.
1491913 tn?1288490535 Do you think he could have something stuck in his throat? There is another thing that dogs sometimes do, and that's called "Reverse sneezing" Take a look at some videos of dogs doing this Reverse Sneezing (there are some on youtube) And see if the sound he makes is anything like that. Reverse Sneezing is harmless, and no-one really knows the cause, but many dogs do it.
973741 tn?1342346373 Hi. We have a 7 month old puppy that is all up to date on shots and bordatella, etc. I had to put her in a kennel while we were on vacation and since being home, her little nose is et a good deal and she is sneezing and making little sniffly noises from her nose. She eats, drinks, plays and is fine. But was just wondering if she has a little cold?? I'm not so much worried but curious. I expect that if it is a virus, it will resolve and she'll be back to normal.
Avatar f tn There are many human foods that are completely unsuitable for dogs, and one of the many reasons why dogs become ill is because of scraps of human food that is given to dogs. While we are not susceptible to these toxins, dogs are, as they have completely different digestive systems. Please take a look at my article on this subject so you don't give these foods by mistake. http://www.infobarrel.
Avatar n tn I had heavy withdrawals and felt awful. Since I could no longer continue to take the pain meds, my doctor put me on the patch. Of course, that stopped the withdrawals. He told me that it was easy to wean off of the patch. I want to know if it is really that easy to wean off the patch? Could you please give me some information on this. I have searched the web and cannot find the answer to this question.
Avatar f tn My baby is 2 weeks old tomorrow and I was wondering what can I do to help stop his hiccups or do I just let them go away on their own.
