Sneezing in restaurants

Common Questions and Answers about Sneezing in restaurants

sneeze

Avatar m tn Generally sneezing in restaurants is due to mold as most have old air conditioners and carpets under which mold can collect. Some have old walls, leaking taps etc, all which cause mold to grow. Other than that it could also be mixed flavors, spices, smoke and the closed environment. Hope this helps. Take care!
Avatar f tn Alternatively, are you sure the sneezing is just related to the dinner, or when he is in the car? There may be an allergen in the car. Another more obscure idea is that somehow this has become some sort of conditioned response from him. He expects it to happen, so it does. I remeber once I got nauseus from a horrible lunch before inside a library. For years after I couldn't enter any public library without feeling sick. I'm fine now.
Avatar f tn How i look at it is I've already peed myself in public for laughing to hard and then sneezing. There is not much else to be embarrassed about..
Avatar f tn Does anyone know of any restaurants that would hire a pregnant woman? I need a new job asap because Im only getting 20hrs a week at my current one and I have n bills piling up the only one Im able to keep going barely is my car :-\ Im in culinary school and am waiting on my Servsafe scores to come out. Avatar f tn I have had a very strange allergic reaction for the past year and it seems to be getting progressively worse. Almost every time I eat in a restaurant or the kitchen of some people, my nose itches like crazy and gets very stuffy. Sometimes, but not always, my eyes get watery as well. It never happens in my kitchen, and I noticed when I was in San Fransisco a few months ago it didn't seem to happen in restaurants there, or at least wasn't as intense.
649848 tn?1534633700 Hi everybody........ Sorry I didn't post a weigh in thread for a couple of weeks; I was traveling and had very little computer time. I'm back home and trying to get back to "normal", whatever that might be....... So - how has everyone been doing with their weight issues? I did much better than I'd thought I would do traveling, since we, virtually, ate in restaurants for 2 whole weeks.
Avatar n tn It is always best to strictly avoid food allergens. Many people with food allergens also need to avoid eating at restaurants or at least certain types of restaurants. Also, steroid inhalers could prevent wheezing episodes. Warm regards.
Avatar f tn m having a difficult time finding restaurants in the Bergen County area (I live in the Pascack Valley) that are allergy-aware and safe. Can you give me some suggestions? I'd love to be able to safely dine out with my family. Thanks.

Avatar m tn My daughter has had a cold for two days and after that she started getting blood in her snot while sneezing. Now, she is even getting blood in snot when she is spitting the snot from her nose. Is this normal? She recently turned 12 years old. I am worried. Please answer if you have experienced the same thing.
Avatar f tn One of my usual nights eating it, I got sick within roughly 30 min. Like knives in stomach, can’t move, hunched over in pain sick and it lasts roughly 8 hours. I figured I just had a bad one. Went back shortly after, same thing happened. Then decided to change restaurants, same thing happened. Waited monthssss, went back, same thing happened. I’m wondering if I tried it without seaweed if I’d be ok. I can eat fish, rice, shellfish, etc.
Avatar n tn I am assuming you know his carbohydrate to insulin ratio, meaning for every 10-17 carbohydrates a person eats then one unit of insulin is given. I give a range because every person is a little different in how many units of insulin they give for a certain number of carbohydrates. I usually take 1 unit for every 12 grams of carbs--but that is just my body. Next, knowing the amount of carbohydrates in certain foods will help too.
Avatar m tn Zero risk or everyone who goes to restaurants would be infected from HIV positive staff somewhere in the food chain who accidentally dripped some blood in food. HIV is inactivated in air and saliva.
Avatar f tn I was wondering if getting hiccups every time after eating is normal, and I also find myself sneezing several times in the day yet Im not sick. Also, when do you start feeling your baby move/kick? sometimes it feels like a movement but not entirely sure, more like ants. I find myself feeling more sick in the afternoons now than ever. TMI, but do any of you ladies find yourself having horrible gas?
Avatar f tn It depends on where you're dining. If it's fast food, options are pretty slim, but you'd want to opt for fruit and yogurt type things. Breakfast buffet is good, because they typically, provide yogurt, fruits, boiled eggs, and other healthy options. You have to be careful with regular sit down restaurants, because most of the "good" choices are made bad, by cooking in too much fat, using to much sodium, etc.
4202953 tn?1377183506 Sneezing is very common... im still sneezing at 53 days. Nothing like the first 30 days though. Now i take it as a reminder that im still healing. I'll take that over the sweats anytime... one of the things that had me stumped. Then my pal Tom from the board told me about putting a cold cloth on my stomach at night... it worked!
Avatar m tn Sneezing is VERY common when coming off of opiates. There is an old post about it I will search for it and bump it up for you guys to read....it explains it better. Give me a few minutes to find it!
Avatar f tn just our bodies trying to get the poisin out in everyway possible lol...sux though...benadryl helps with the sneezing btw.....again im so very proud of u dove..
2083688 tn?1334601661 I always held in my sneezes since before I can remember. I held one in a few minutes ago and started wondering if its bad to hold them in now that I'm pregnant. I'm already 2 days short of being 36 weeks pregnant so I hope its not harmful. Im jus curious cus my muscles in my tummy kinda tightened up and didn't recognize it ever doing it til this time.
Avatar n tn This is kind of strange but every time any form of heat turns on my nose and sinuses go crazy. I get incredible sinus pressure, my eyes water, I start sneezing continuously, and sometimes it is so hard to breath that I can't talk (It just feels like my throat is closing up). It won't take long for this to happen but it is especially fast/bad when I am in a car right next to the vent, which makes things interesting in the wintertime.
Avatar n tn Most allergy tests look for the "usual" suspects: ragweed, mold, animal dander, mites, tree pollen, etc. I had a skin test at 11 years old against 35 common allergens and reacted to none of them. So I was told I have no allergies and therefore non-allergenic rhinitis. However, I'm very allergic to fragrance and lavender and have been since I was a baby. I've also since become allergic to jasmine, lilies, lilacs, juniper bushes, ceder, cats, dust, mold, hay, and fresh grass.
Avatar f tn Me too...
Avatar f tn I wonder what causes the sneezing. It's so annoying! But I'll take it over those stupid pills!! Congrats on day 23!!!
495284 tn?1333894042 Hey girl! I didn't sneeze, but my nose would run like it was in a marathon. Atleast that lets us use a cold as the excuse for looking like he!!
Avatar f tn Yup, especially near the rub cage area T_T
