Sneezing in poodles

Common Questions and Answers about Sneezing in poodles

Avatar f tn Gee, I've never heard of this in Maltese or Poodles but I know a breed like a Pug can have elongated soft palates and collapsing tracheas. Does anything ever come out her nose, even a little, like food or water? I ask this because she may have (even a hairline) cleft palate. Has she been to the Vet or due to go in soon for shots maybe? I would mention this to the Vet and have him/her give the puppy a thorough examination. Wish I could be of more help.

All the sneezing could have ruptured a little blood vessel in his nose, that's true. He also could have got some grass seed or some small irritation stuck up his nostril(?) That might have caused the sneezing fit? This is very common as dogs have that habit of sniffing their way through life! The vet can put a small scope up and take a look. Poor Wentworth!
Avatar m tn Where depending on the season she would have episodes lasting 4-5 days where she was reverse sneezing a lot and seemed nasal. We treated with benadryl for a couple years and when that wasn't working we would treat with prednisone courses for 5 days or so. The frequency of these episodes started increasing to being every month and then ongoing. Urination and drinking of course increased during the prednisone treatment.
Avatar m tn Dust mites are microscopic insects that live in house dust, under mattresses, and deep down in carpeting. The droppings of these tiny mites cause nasal allergies. Dust mites feed on dead human skin scales and inhaling their waste products can trigger a runny nose and sneezing. Waste products of cockroaches can also cause nasal allergies to flare. In case you need any more information, then pls post us.
Avatar f tn One day I broke the aquarium that they were in and put them in a box in the basement. They got loose and I couldn't find them. My mom was down there doing laundry and they stuck their heads out from under the washing machine. She was so freaked out (which surprised me because she wasn't afraid of my other reptiles) that she told me if I let the snakes go that she would buy me a guinea pig. So I did. That started the "mammal" phase of my life.
Avatar f tn Ringworm is especially common in kittens and cats, while yeast and bacterial infections are more typical in dogs. The ears are lined with skin, so itchy ears in both dogs and cats are an extension of the same types of infections. Your veterinarian will need to make the correct diagnosis in order to properly treat the infection. However, one thing that vets don’t talk about much is why infection occurs.
Avatar n tn We were not properly informed by the resorption company or my insurance company in 2013. One of our miniature poodles was able to walk in to a unproperly containement. She starting having respiratory issues about 30 minutes after. We called the Vet. He told us to try a allergy medecine. It helped but it happened several times after that. I too had respiratory issues and asthma symptoms memory and fatigue problems. My daughter sinus isdues. My husband headaches.
Avatar f tn Hi, I did a day 5 ET with 2 blast. On days 6-8 I had some mild cramping which my RE said could be from implantation. Then on the day before my Beta test I had some nausea during the afternoon. Beta was done 11 days past ET and I got a BFP!!! Try not to worry to much, alot of people say they feel no symptoms at all and still get a BFP. Best of luck to you.
