Sneezing in horses

Common Questions and Answers about Sneezing in horses

Avatar n tn Saturday night we received a small dusting of snow in Montreal, (yes very early even by our standards) and when I awoke Sunday AM the sneezing started. In the past though sparingly in the past year, I would have small sneeze attacks after stepping out of the shower in the morning and it would go away after getting dressed, these "shower attacks" don't happen as often anymore.

I worked on 135 degree roofs in summer and below freezing in winter. I still love mechanical things. Oh and I did this after dropping out of Grad School for Art History.

Avatar n tn I have the charlie horses in various places around my body, legs, feet, hands, under the ribs, under the breasts, etc. The pain can be excruciating. It can literally bend me over, make me cry, and scream out in pain. It happens in the shower, walking, using the bathroom, sitting in a chair, sleeping, etc. There is no particular time that this occurs. I can be doing nothing at all but laying on the sofa watching TV. If I get them in my legs, I have to walk them out.
585414 tn?1288944902 ), doing passive aggressive or hostile pranks (in the past), self medicating with natural remedies (in the past), drinking large amounts of caffeinated beverages (in the past), overstating my important/thinking I could "change the world", unable to concentrate on tasks but becoming obssessed with something unimportant. Right now I am to the point where I can spot this and catch it before it gets worse. Can you? What happens with you? Can you stop it? And could you learn?
Avatar f tn I am unexperienced with goats, so I suggest you call your veterinarian. I know that when horses are purchased at auction, they are in close quarters with many other horses and can become exposed to various illnesses. I suspect this is the case with your goats. It would be wise in this case to get your vet out and see what is going on, but also to get an overview of your goats' requirements for healthcare, including vaccines, as well as any nutrition or other care questions you may have.
Avatar n tn My symptoms are mainly chronically asthmatic, watering eyes, runny nose, red itchy patches on my skin and sneezing. Unfortunately my wife works with horses and as you can imagine this is a big problem. There is no way she can avoid this as she is a professional athlete. I have tried every kind of over the counter medicine and antihystamine and nothing works. I have taken 4-6 times the recommended dosage sometimes and the symptoms still persist.

Avatar f tn This major problem with my eyes started in June this year. The only new thing that changed in June was my dr started me on Cymbalta for nerve pain. I see him on Oct 7th, and will discuss the eye issue. It does say dry eyes can be a side effect, but it's one of the medications you can't stop without gradually tapering off. But I'm not sure if this is the cause, as I have had dry eyes for over a year, just not this bad. Thanks for your reply.
387767 tn?1345875627 My husband had terrible allergies to dogs, cats and horses along with all the usual airborne things. I pretty much forced him to adopt Travis in 1990 - we found him near death at the side of a gravel road. No way could I leave him there! Anyway, as long as Hubby didn't handle him too much, and we kept him out of our bedroom, he was fine. After about 5 years of allergy shots, he can roll around with any dog with no problem. Best of luck to you!

Avatar f tn Do you think it's possible that the venous anomaly is causing these headaches, which I only get when coughing, sneezing or laughing? I am taking melatonin which i've read can reduce pressure in the brain. What do you think of that? Also, what are the types of testing that should be done besides the MRI and CT scan? Is it necessary to do a lumbar puncture to determine cause?
Avatar f tn I suggest that you take a careful inventory of everything that you might have been exposed to prior to the most recent recurrence of hives, especially things you seldom encounter in your usual everyday life. Keep in mind that the recent episode, fairly unresponsive to your usual meds, may have been an aberration and that your hives may again become responsive to the medication that has worked so well for you.

1761287 tn?1313828387 hello I have recently taken my poor 8 yr old male Bombay, Shadow (aka Pnut or Doo) to the vet for an array of symptoms such as diarrhea, bumps on skin, sneezing, coughing, & difficulty swallowing. They gave him a couple of injections at the place & sent me home with some medication for his diarrhea. They wanted to do a chest xray, but I don't have the money for it. They suggested getting him on Imodium AD as well. His diarrhea is getting under control. However, I have a new issue.

392430 tn?1382908381 25 weeks. I go to the doctor on Friday too! Not sure on the weight gain, last I checked at 21 weeks I was -3 (at 16 weeks I was back to even) so I'm not sure what happened there. I do however feel like I have gained a ton! Lots of BH going on here too. I try to imagine what it will be like to do things with my other two with the baby...where will he fit in. Sleeping is miserable for me too. Last night I was awake for three hours trying to find a comfortable position.
Avatar m tn I am a Registered Nurse. My name is Lisa. Recently dianosed with CM 7mm . As I have read over many sites and also on this forum. It is not the size of the tonsil herniation, but the size combined with the individual that makes the difference. There are people with 3mm herniations who cannot get out of bed, diversely, there are people with 10 mm herniations with absolutely NO symptoms. We were not all created exactly the same, otherwise this would be a very boring world.
