Sneezing girl gets a diagnosis

Common Questions and Answers about Sneezing girl gets a diagnosis

Avatar n tn The sneezing I can live with---it's 10 hours a day with a running nose that's a killer. I'm starting a nasal spray called Omnaris and hoping it helps. It's truly a debilitating condition and I commiserate with the others who've written.
Avatar f tn but mostly, people go for colds etc. I think I'm catching something else! Been sneezing quite a bit, sinus-type headaches, a sort of stuck-in-throat feeling, and my voice is kind of scratchy, lol. Maybe I will mention the acid reflux and possibly even the scoliosis thing there. I hate being such a downer all the time :( I just want answers! As far as the anxiety, I realize when I am anxious, so it isn't something that is affecting me all the time.
572651 tn?1531002957 was just wondering at the time if anyone else was as frustrated as i was/am with this uphill climb to a diagnosis. didn't take long to see i was not alone, here, and at veteran sites dedicated to those with MS and the added frustrations of dealing with the VA.
Avatar n tn I've never been a Florida girl!!! Love the mountains, don't care for the beach!! As for my kids, I had a BIG turning point not so long ago. My son got really, really sick with the stomach virus. His doctors really missed the boat with diagnosing him with dehydration and I wasn't demanding enough, until we went to the ER (then I was a big, giant Momma grizzly bear, I was out to protect my little bear cub).
Avatar n tn About 8 weeks ago I had a possible risk to Hiv after having unprotected sex with a girl I had met that night. About 4 weeks after the risk I had a slight cold nothing major (Slight sore throat for a few days, runny nose, sneezing, slight fatigue) although alot of friends/family were also ill with the same thing. After about 2 weeks it cleared up. A few days later I started getting a few more rashes, that would come and go all over my body.
Avatar n tn Hi - I've been having difficulty breathing for at least the last 9-10 years...and it's a daily thing. I am 31 years old, am healthy (exercise almost daily, eat healthily, am not overweight, do not smoke, and only drink socially), and yet I always feel like my breathing is extremely laboured. I constantly yawn to try to catch a satisfying breath.
Avatar f tn My cat Angelina had a reaction to Convenia only 10 days before she passed away. I did a necropsy at Cornell Hospital Pathology Dept. They found that they think she had liver adenoma/ cholangiocarcinoma as well as acute myeloid leukemia. In spite of the fact that she had an end stage liver cancer, it seems, nothing to that effect showed up in her blood work until 4 days after the Convenia shot. At that point her AST was elevated but not tremendously and they thought she had an infection.
720547 tn?1282623532 Her labs I was told at that time were normal. We were sent home with a diagnosis of viral cold. They were able to get temp down at the hospital with a Rocephin antibiotic shot. On Sunday she spiked her 101.6 temp again. I called the Pediatrician's office which advised me to take her back in. This time our hospital did some more tests. They did a urinalysis which came back clean and I was then advised they wanted to do a spinal tap on her.
807420 tn?1238225628 When I get up from sleep, and get out of the bed, the pain subsides a bit, from a 10, laying down, to a 4 or 5 all day every day. Again increases when I lay down in bed at night. It is terrible existence. Please help me out, or steer me in the right direction. I am seeing a Neurologist right now. Do I have, Occipital Neuralgia, Giant Cell Arteritis, too much or little Brain Fluid, Cervicogenic Headaches? Any idea what type of headache I suffer?
Avatar n tn She says she has no pain with it. I notice that it gets a little worse when she eats. If she is active, like running or engaged on the computer, it isn't as bad. I told my husband about it a few days after I noticed it and he told me that he has had it for as long as he can remember. Could it be a genetic thing? He told me that he gets rid of the feeling by yawning. His doesn't seem to be as bad as others that I have read here. And he did say that his gets worse if someone brings it up.
Avatar m tn After two years of tongue problems I was finally was diagnosed two weeks ago with a salivary gland disorder through a gammagraphy (a CT scan). My salivary glands are not working properly and this is what explain why my tongue is always dry or with thick/sticky saliva (xerostomia). Now this Friday I am having a lip biopsy to rule out Sjogren Syndrome (SS).
440535 tn?1312371665 We have never been told what is wrong with her, but I'm guessing there is a bigger cause. Some sort of cat disease. She loses patches of fur sometimes, and the skin gets raw, which we heal with polysporin. Which works well rather than going to the vet for yet another $300 bill for an ointment that has the same results. She gets infections in her mouth that we heal with hydrogen peroxide, also works really well. We just put it on with a q-tip.
Avatar dr m tn If you are a chronic mouth breather because of a stuffy nose, you're not alone. Do you feel like you can never get enough oxygen into your lungs? Do you feel tired all day no matter how much sleep you get? Have you tried various home remedies, over-the-counter medications or even prescription medications with no help? If you answered yes to any of the above, what you will read below will show you how critical it is to breathe well through your nose.
429155 tn?1205676864 - While awaiting the scan results I was given oxycontin for pain relief, this seemed to do the trick for 2 weeks, 10mg 2x a day, then things hurt again so up the dose went 20mg 2x a day, then 40mg 2x a day, then 80mg 2x a day and up to 120mg 2x a day, recognise the scenereo anyone??..
Avatar m tn From the US CDC “ How is hepatitis C spread? Hepatitis C is usually spread when blood from a person infected with the hepatitis C virus enters the body of someone who is not infected. Today, most people become infected with the hepatitis C virus by sharing needles or other equipment to prepare or inject drugs. Before 1992, hepatitis C was also commonly spread through blood transfusions and organ transplants.
Avatar m tn It began in 1976 and re occurs every 5 to 6 years. I get a sore throat (not tonsils but when you swallow) I now go straight on antibiotics and use Bricanyl inhaler although it doesnt seem to have much effect except to cause alot of mucus coughed up from the lungs. It causes me to have spasm coughing and if I cannot control this to 3 or 4 coughs my windpipe closes over making it hard to breath in or out.
541150 tn?1306037443 My cat, Abby has a county tag and a vet history which gets sent to Animal Control every othe month. They know Abby is indoors and has been the only pet in my household. They know Abby is clear of all kinds of infectious agents such as the flu virus or any fungal infection. So, if Dillan has ring worms he got it at the shelter. What they do is they replace my cat with a healthier one, as if cats were objects. NO.
Avatar m tn Sometimes, a cold won’t cause any symptoms at all, and it will clear up in the same amount of time. A cold starts when a virus gets into your nose. Your nose actually helps the virus get to the back of nose, to where it can infect a nasal cell. The virus latches onto a receptor, called an ICAM-1, on the nasal cell, which plugs into the virus and draws it into the healthy cell. Once inside, the cold virus infects the cell and makes multiple copies of itself.

Avatar n tn Occasionally, just a couple of times a year, I FEEL FULL OF A COLD FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS, BUNGED UP AND SNEEZING, BUT NOT A TRUE COLD and it stops suddenly like a light going out. all very weird but such a relief to find that other people have similar experiences. I have mentioned to GP who stared blankly and had never heard of it and I felt like I was being thought of as over anxious or hysterical.
Avatar f tn I did backflips 2 weeks after having my 4th child at age 27, and could still do the contortions. A girl once landed on top of the girl who was on top while we were doing the elephant walk, and I heard every single bone in my back crack. It didn't hurt, although it most likely would have killed somebody who wasn't used to contortions. I am slower to heal than I used to be, and can't do very much. The chronic aching in my bones makes that like "nuh uh.
Avatar f tn I too started breaking out in hives after taking the antibotic Solodyn for acne. After a trip to the ER, it was assumed that I had an alergic reaction to the medicine. I stopped taking the medicine after only 3 weeks and needless to say, I am still breaking out in hives and have joint pain. I have been tested for allergies and that was negative. I have had bloodwork done and it was negative. Just wondering if anyone else was experiencing same symptoms.
Avatar f tn have you seen an endocrinologist?? many primary care physicians do not do the level of testing that they do.
