sneezing bright light

after i sneeze or laugh ,i get a a bright light in my vision and that is all i can see for about 30 to 40 seconds then my vision comes back and i get a headache

This is just for my own curiosity, but are any of you sun (or bright light) sneezers? Apparently about 20% of the population are; I am. In any case, just curious.

its a combo of things, sneezing is triggered from the central nervous system, from allergies, drug withdrawl, bright light as well, your nervous system is in chaos during withdrawl so its a stimulus reaction, also the running nose irrates the membranes as well.

ve been seeing shapes in my vision similar to what you would see after staring at a bright light. However, I see these all the time, even without staring at a bright light source. I also don't seem to be blinking very often. maybe 1-3 times a minute. I had an eye screening with a ophthalmologist a couple of months ago who said my eyes look fine. Could this be some sort of neurological problem instead?

Co-incidentally as the spots arrived, I also felt like sneezing, and what I normally do when I get the urge to sneeze, is look into a bright light, this helps the sneeze come quickly. So I naturally glanced at the sun for about 3 or 4 seconds. This made me sneeze, but what it also did is made my spots go away. So here I am waiting for my migraine to come but it never came. I thought this was weird as I would always get a migraine after the spots.

From time to time my eyes are also burning and draining. Sneeze alot. Bright green mucus when sneezing or blowing nose.Does this sound like allergies? Doctor said my eyes looked inflamed and put me on antibiotics said he thought it might be sinus infection but doesn't know for sure. Just took the last dose today. Does it take awhile for any results from antibiotics?

In my left eye I've had a floater that stays in the center of my vision and doesn't move around for over a year, but it's not really all that troublesome - I can ignore it now. Over the last few days I've been having random very intensely bright small spots of light that come and go over a matter of seconds in the center of my vision too - right by my floater. Again, not troublesome...just weird and new.

The sneezing is normal and will last for awhile!! I cant help but smile when i hear someone talk of this as once you get to feeling better we do end up in some sneezing "horror" stories!! I am glad you are feeling better today. This will be a very emotional time for you so just let yourself feel them. We numbed ourselves up for so long that we arent used to having any emotions. Congrats on 3 days!! Get up and move around as much as you can too. That will help......

I was advised to call or come in if I had a.gush of bright red blood or alot of bright red spotting. Was it a gush? You should call just to b sure .

Hi all, This will sound extremely bizarre, but I would be grateful if anyone is able to shed some light on this very annoying thing that I am experiencing. It all started when I rubbed my eyes in my mirror 2 years ago, and then my eyes started stinging really badly, and I found I couldn't sneeze for about 2 weeks. For about 2 years now, I have been experiencing an inability to sneeze naturally. The sneeze builds up, but it never completes.

I also had an episode today that I went outside and the light was so bright I could hardly see anything but super bright white light. It lasted a couple of minutes until I could get inside again and then the flashing started for about 20-30 seconds. Yesterday it started being sore but not to bad and I thought I had something lodge as it felt like it so I looked in mirror and noticed my tonsils are a little red not much and on the one side there a little white mark and only one, not to big you have to really look and go in very bright light to see it.

I seem to be affected by the bright sun light. My eyes water and I can not keep them open. I get light headed and my nose feels funny. It will go away once I am inside and out of the bright light. i'm talking about the type of projector light that is like on the ceiling and different colors of light come out of it , in order to project something on to the screen. the light is really bright, are you sure that it's not dangerous. is the light a type of laser or just regular. thank-you so so so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have not had any camera’s flashing, the only exposure was the day it happen I was playing with my niece and nephew as the sun was setting and caught a glimpse of really bright light through my glasses to that eye as I went to pick up a ball.

Recently after I blink I see a tiny spot of light in right eye in the central vision. I can see it on bright walls (especially white) and under artificial light. I don't see it outside or when it is dark. It is embarassing to see things that are not there. Is there something to woory about, because I do. There are similar questions in this forum - some answers are really frightening.

As she was trying to read some small print on a bottle, she developed tunnel vision and a very bright light in her centre of vision. It has happen 4 times in the last month and is followed by shards of light coming from the top of her vision towards her nose. She has no other symptom. Oh man... I hope this doesnt last my entire pregnancy! I really hate the looks ppl give me when I'm having a sneezing attack, they think I'm sick lol. I just want it to stop! But on the bright side other than that this pregnancy is going extremely well so I guess I shouldn't complain over sneezing lol.

with bright light or sun he has a hard time to keep his eyes open and at time can not see because he feels the light too bright even if light not that bright ( and his eyes also feel swollen at that time) My son says it is getting worse with years.

This has been something that has been happening for about six months now. Sometimes when I'm reading, it's like I can't concentrate. This mainly only happens when I'm reading on my computer where it's normally bright, and when I'm reading in a really lit room. The closest thing I found to this on the internet was something called "Irlen Syndrome", and the symptoms of it is basically what I'm experiencing.
