Avatar f tn SHE HAS SUFFERED FROM A CHRONIC NASAL CONDITION FOR ABOUT 3 YEARS NOW, HER SYMPTOMS ARE AS FOLLOWS; SNEEZING WITH A WHITE ,BUT WHEN INFECTED YELLOW DISCHARGE, FOLLOWED BY GAGGING AND RETCHING TRYING TO COUGH UP SOMERTHING. MY VET HAS HAD HER ON ANTIROBE 75MG AND BAYTRIL 68.5 MY VARIOUS TIMES. WHEN ON THE ANTIBIOTICS SHE DOES MUCH BETTER, BUT ABOUT 2 DAYS AFTER THEY ARE STOPPED THE SYMPTOMS RETURN.
1399266 tn?1280637104 When she started she had a pink drainage coming from her right eye and right nostril. Her eye has gotten better and her nose has slightly improved. She is still sneezing and looks terrible but she is eating on her own. This cat has failed the pre anesthesia test twice after having complications during her spay surgery so we are reluctant to put her under to pull her tooth. The vet is new to us as we have move two hours away from our regular vet.
Avatar f tn Is this sneezing really a withdrawal symptoms, or just because it's spring here?
Avatar m tn was about 4 months old. very snotty and bloody nose all the time and sneezing. went through 2 round of antibiotics and lysine supplement with no improvement. vet said it's a "barn cat virus" since antibiotics didnt work and the symptoms may ease with time. year and a half later, still no improvement. i want to help this nice little kitty but am stumped as to what to do. i find it hard to believe a bloody/snotty nose can just last forever with no cure.
Avatar m tn Some months ago I had an anesthesia for a gastroscopy. There were usde the following neuroleptics: propofol, midazolam and fentanyl. I slept for about 2 hours and as soon as I woke up I was abnormally acting like a drunk. That being ended up in a couple of hours but unfortunately some symptoms and problems remained.
Avatar f tn please if anyone here has ever been put under anesthesia please tell me how it felt when you woke up. nausea, upset stomach, tired, ect.
Avatar m tn Prescribed Clindamycin for a whole month. His only symptoms after a day or two back on was increased sneezing (or reverse sneezing and some snorting) He was doing incredibly well after 1/1/2 weeks on antibiotic again, but we started having problems getting it into him. Called the vet on Friday Aug 18 and her assistant suggested holding the antibiotic over the weekend. Called on Monday and couldn't talk to vet until Tuesday afternoon. She suggested giving antibiotic only every other day.
Avatar f tn Has anyone out there ever had to receive more then general and/or local anesthesia? I read that sometimes, so the patient does not cough or move during surgery, there will be a tube put down their thoat to be put on a breathing machine. This scares me - if anyone has had this done or know why its necessary or the pros & cons, please reply.
Avatar m tn No anesthesia should not cause that problem after prostate surgery. However I would suggest you go see an Eye MD ophthalmologist to see what's going on.
Avatar f tn m just wondering what it is like waking up right after surgery. Will I be able to walk, breathe on my own, talk, stay awake? I am interested in hearing what others experienced as soon as the woke up and how long it took them to be able to accomplish simple tasks.
Avatar n tn He was with a co-worker in the factories office area and sneezed. Right after her sneezed, he fell over and was unable to be saved. Could the sneeze have been the fatal action? Curious as to if the sneeze had not occured, would it just have prolonged his chest pain and the inevitable were to happen anyways. was just wondering if the 'sneeze" expedited things? One more question thats bothering my mother. When he passed, he wet his pants.
1212601 tn?1276920691 I was amazed at how quickly I recovered, it was so nice to be able to be up and about within hours of the birth. I did have to have an epidural after the birth of my 3rd due to a retained placenta, however I needed no stitches with either of these births. My advice would be not to rule anything out, it really does depend at the time on how well you are coping with the pain and whether or not there are any complications.
Avatar n tn I am a 19 yo white female who has been experiancing excrutiating chest and right arm pain after sneezing. The pain starts in my upper chest, very similar to the pain experianced when one has a brochoncial infection and has been coughing for a long time. It racks around my chest cavity and is a very sharp, prolonged pain. The pain also moves down my right arm, stopping usually before it goes into my palm.
Avatar f tn I just had that surgery two weeks ago Tuesday, it was a piece of cake, all except the throwing up from the anesthesia. A day after I had it, I went home, slept some, By Thursday, I was totally off pain meds (I did not ever take hard stuff - Percocet made me throw up, too, and it really did not hurt that bad.) A couple tylenol every once in a while was all I needed (I did take one Vicodan one night to sleep through my husband's snoring!).
Avatar f tn What kind of anesthesia are patients given when they have decompression surgery for chiari malformation?
Avatar f tn I am a 45 F and had a TKR two months ago. I had spinal anesthesia and was also "out" during the surgery. I was catheterized during the surgery until the following morning. I have had ongoing issues with my leg, EMG/NCS last week were positive for significant femoral nerve damage (possibly from the tourniquet??), as well as being "positive" in my spine - although that doctor did not explain about my spine and my f/u with my OS is tomorrow.
Avatar f tn The Vet called me to tell me that he reacted to anesthesia and his heart stopped for two minutes. After regaining his heart beat, he is now partially blind. The Vet on the phone told me they would like to keep him over night at the clinic. Interesting thing was that this clinic would have not one soul there after 4pm until they re-open at 9am.
Avatar f tn Yup! I found it hard to hold pee and sneeze after I had my son, during this pregnancy it's practically impossible, hopefully it's not this bad after she's born!
