7595610 tn?1397467772 I thought I was the only one who sneezed wen I went out into the sun. I don't sneeze so much in bright lights.

Avatar m tn If I feel a sneeze coming on, I will either look at the sun or a bright light in a room. I rarely sneeze in a low light situation. My doctor thinks I am nuts, as does my opthamologist. However, my Mom did this (but not my Dad) and both of my daughters do it too. My Mom says that her Mom did it as well. It's very strong reflex and completely uncontrollable. Does anybody else have this or know what it is about? I've always called it "light sneezing.
1415174 tn?1453243103 Co-incidentally as the spots arrived, I also felt like sneezing, and what I normally do when I get the urge to sneeze, is look into a bright light, this helps the sneeze come quickly. So I naturally glanced at the sun for about 3 or 4 seconds. This made me sneeze, but what it also did is made my spots go away. So here I am waiting for my migraine to come but it never came. I thought this was weird as I would always get a migraine after the spots.
Avatar m tn Are you drinking enough water? Treatment does dehydrate you.
Avatar f tn I am a doctor caring for a patient that was in a car accident and is hospitalized. Yesterday i cut myself shaving under my chin and the patient sneezed right in my mouth, eyes, and (especially my cut). Its was a thick sneeze. Do i go for pyp or test ?

1530342 tn?1405016490 Okay, how many tried to sneeze with eyes open, just to see if you could do it? Gotta admit, I did it...... I can/do, sometimes, sneeze with my eyes open; it all depends on what's causing my sneeze and how violent it is.
Avatar n tn My eyes constantly bother me, I sneeze some, and nasel congestion. Eye doctors find no reason for it. Is this allergies?
Avatar f tn One more thing! Whenever I sneeze, both my eyes will jerk and twitch for several moments, almost like a seizure of sorts. It is so noticeable that I always turn my head away when I sneeze.
Avatar m tn The problem I am having the most trouble with is his eyes. We apply sunscreen to his entire body but he tends to rub his eyes often. So therefore he is rubbing off the sunscreen. He even gets sunburn between his eye lashes. Is there anything we can do to prevent this besides keeping him inside most of the day? Can you also recommend a sunscreen that will not bother his eyes? Thank you for your time and help with this situation!
Avatar m tn and i have always been sun sensitive...and my eyes are really light sensitive...((a lot of people say that the color of them have to do with it, but my eyes are dark green and mine are more sensitive than most...)) But as with me...even when its not hot or sunny outside...if you are gunna be in the sun alot you might want to put one sunscreen...just to be on the safe side...
Avatar m tn Hi all, This will sound extremely bizarre, but I would be grateful if anyone is able to shed some light on this very annoying thing that I am experiencing. It all started when I rubbed my eyes in my mirror 2 years ago, and then my eyes started stinging really badly, and I found I couldn't sneeze for about 2 weeks. For about 2 years now, I have been experiencing an inability to sneeze naturally. The sneeze builds up, but it never completes.
Avatar f tn My daughter and I sneeze every evening about 10 times around the same time. No rhyme or reason... we just sneeze. usually when the sun is going down... maybe the change in temperature? Whatever, it just happens.
Avatar m tn m 22 years old now, and ever since I can remember to about 12 or 13 I have always had severe dark circles under my eyes. My skin has always been very white and pale and many portions of my body I can see my veins in my arms, green, blue etc. I have read on a lot of forums that under eye circles can be caused by dehydration, malnutrition, vitamin deficiencies, sleep deprivation, etc.
Avatar m tn I have tried snorting pepper, snuff etc and looking at bright light - no Sneeze, not even a desire to sneeze. I have a number of neuro symptoms, no gag reflex, partial paralysis of throat, difficulty swallowing, Exotropia (eyes constantly tend to cross) along with muscle cramps, pain, weakness and fatigue - all progressive. Neuro says MS but never had a positive MRI. My question: Is anyone aware of a neuro/muscular disease with one of the signs being the loss/lack of the sneeze reflex?
Avatar n tn The three month old in a sling -looking behind me but close to my chest. It was a bright February day and the sun kept dazzling us all and the baby kept closing his eyes in response. Obviously I screened him as much as possible but I wonder does this cause damage to children's eyesight? Also looking at the sun is known to be very dangerous, how do you ensure little children don't do this? Is there a natural aversion? Surely we would all have damaged sight if not>?
Avatar n tn About a month ago she started having allergy like symptoms. She wakes up with watery eyes causing her face to be wet. She has sneezing fits (always like 7 sneezes in a row). Coughs alot. She has atrial fibrillation continuously. No one has been able to get it controlled. She has a medtronic pacer, has had multiple ablations, cannot tolerate amiodarone or other drugs, norpace stopped working. She is short of breath and has no energy.
Avatar n tn like at the ground in front of you off in the distance so youre facing the sun with your eyes open but not exactly looking directly into the sun.. the closer you do it to sun up and sun down is safer.. and dont forget to be barefoot on bare dirt..
1323580 tn?1274669941 How effective is prescription Tretinoin .05 on erasing sun damage to the skin, i have fine wrinkles forming on my forehead there not very deep yet and patches of rough skin(enlarged pores on cheeks and forehead). If it does clear up the wrinkles and pores how long should it take to see some results I'm not always the most patient person. I just finished my first week of using it.
Avatar f tn About three days ago I went for a swim, while swimming on my back my mind drifted away and I ended up staring at the sun for about three minutes, might be longer I'm not sure. Now I have a blind spot at the center of my vision, whatever I try to focus my sight on, I see a yellow/white circle instead, sometimes it;s flickering sometimes not. I'm 20 years old, healthy as a horse, I have no eye problems, and I have never NEVER had a headache in my life. Is this permanent ?
Avatar n tn There was a huge sun glare on it and I was staring at it because i was thinking about something. It was so bright and the sun on the water reflected into my eyes. My eyes were kind of uncomfortable. My questions are: *So, i just want to know if any parts of the eyes are damaged or damage your vision ? * is staring at the really bright sun glare of the water in black cement dangerous? * out of curiousity, will staring at the sun give you cancer or just damage eyes?
Avatar f tn I used to sneeze , I have always had allergies, although I have to say they have gotten a lot better without taking medication... now I don't even have the urge to sneeze, but I do have a runny nose a lot of the time. I do suffer with headaches off and on. Thanks This discussion is related to sneezing sensation but unable to sneeze.
Avatar f tn What is so odd.....I have one also, but I almost never get in the sun and have always worn sun glasses.
Avatar f tn My son wears contact lenses since years, He always had trouble with bright light or sun( even when he was only wearing glasses) ,; with bright light or sun he has a hard time to keep his eyes open and at time can not see because he feels the light too bright even if light not that bright ( and his eyes also feel swollen at that time) My son says it is getting worse with years.
