Sneeze arm pain

Common Questions and Answers about Sneeze arm pain

Avatar n tn After surgery it felt like my tail bone was broken and after 5 months when I blow my nose, cough or sneeze I have terrible pain going into my buttock and legs. This also happens when I bend over to the floor and especially when I pick up something while bending over. What is the cause of this problem?
Avatar m tn I too have pains in my arms when I sneeze. I am well-aware of what a nerve pain feels like as I have had many problems with pinched nerves over the years. This is NOT a nerve pain. It definately feels like it is coming from my cardiovascular system. The pains start near the middle of my biceps on my inner-arm and run almost to my wrists. Sometimes my arm also feels tight as if my blood vessels are contracting or something.
Avatar f tn As soon as I left work my arm started to hurt feels very weak entire arm into hand and fingers. This has happened alot but I haven't had it in couple weeks just trying firgure out what triggers it. If anyone else experiences this??
Avatar f tn Which came first the pain in arm or the cough. If the cough, then you could have pulled a muscle in your shoulder region and are feeling some referred pain. If you're not allergic to it, you could try some Ibuprofen over the counter as directed to see if that helps it. That's some good stuff for any inflammation that you may have going on, just be sure to always eat something with it so you don't get ulcerations in your stomach.

Avatar f tn I can only lift my left arm so far and when I take a deep breath or sneeze the pain comes. Maybe I pulled something? I've been taking Alieve and taking it easy for a week and the pain is still there some times worse then when it began. Can you tell me what I need to do to make these pains go away Should I see a Doctor?
Avatar f tn It started about a month ago I noticed this dull ache in my back when surfing like it was harder to breathe, I would say it was more discomfort then pain though. Then when I would sneeze sometimes I would get a very sharp, intense hot pain shoot through my back. This was sporadic though, sometime when I sneezed it would be very intense pain, other times a milder pain, and other times I would sneeze and nothing would happen. This sorta wanned for a a week or two with not real problems.
Avatar n tn Ok, so I'm sick with the flu right now and everytime I sneeze, my upper chest muscles and arm muscles from my shoulders down to my elbows hurt unbelievably bad. Even after the sneeze, the pain lingers for a long time. I can't figure out what it's from, I've searched around online and all my searches turn up blank. Anyone have any idea what this is from? If it's serious or not?
211940 tn?1267884866 About 1 year ago I began having pain in my right upper arm, between the shoulder and elbow, about mid arm where the biceps brachii muscle or brachialis muscle is. I went to my Primary Physician who said it was a torn brachialis muscle. Since I was working at a 2nd job, I thought it might be job related so I went through the whole Workman's Comp issue. They sent me to 4 doctors who did nothing for me, finally the case was settled and my lawyer got most of the money, but I still have the pain.
Avatar n tn At some point in the last few months, I've started to notice a trend where I would experience a low-grade pain and throbbing all up and down my left arm and hand immediately following a sneeze. This pain generally fades rapidly, perhaps only lasting for ten to fifteen seconds at this point, usually fading starting at my upper arm and lingering longest in my hand. The throbbing outlasts the pain itself, sometimes lasting as long as a couple of minutes before it too fades away.
Avatar n tn I have been to the hospital 3 times for chest pain, mostly on the left side, left arm pain (sometimes numb, sometimes achey), and sharp pain in my upper back. They ran an EKG, CT scan (they thought i had a blood clot in my lungs), and a chest x-ray. Their results where all basically the same, that it was anxiety or indigestion. Now, I have been on Zoloft for a long time now for anxiety, but when I started having chest pains and numbness in my arm, I began having panic attacks.
Avatar n tn I have had a pain in the right side of my chest for several days as well as some irritation in my right arm that feels like the slighest of tingling. The chest pain seems musculature because it gets worse when I sneeze or move quickly to the left. I have also experienced back pain similar to the one I get when I have severe heartburn. Is this something I should be concerned with?
Avatar n tn Over the past week when I sneeze or cough I feel like there are thousands of needles sticking in my back, more middle back and some up and down the spine; radiating down my left arm and sometimes in my chest? Since I have a cardiac history(I had a TIA in 2002 & PFO closure 8/1/02) I'm not sure if it's cardiac or neurology related - what is your take on this?
Avatar f tn I'm almost 7 months pregnant & for the past few days it feels like my left rib cage is like broken. hurts to breathe, sneeze, & I have a cold so it's making it worse. is rib pain normal or did I possibly do something I don't remember?
1673023 tn?1303976634 the first two week I had sharp stabbing pain and pulsating in the right shoulder blade, i was not able to sneeze or to take a deep breath, the pain irritates during sleep and doctor advised pain killer and muscle relaxer(sirdalud) and an ANTI-DEPRESSANT( i dunno why) it gave temporary relief ....
Avatar f tn Not to make this long, I got benign tonsillar ectopia, and a cervical herniated disc in my neck, now when I sneeze, I got shooting pain, that feels like nerve pain, from my left shoulder down my arm.. I cant relate properly if this due to the c5c6 herniation, or due to the the tonsillar ectopia.. Can chiari cause such pain, shooting down the arm ?
Avatar n tn For the past week or two I have been having chronic pain in my chest. It is at the top part of my sternum. It gets worse when I cough, sneeze, or if I stretch or move my right arm towards the left side of my body. I would like to know what these symptoms lead to or what these symptoms are of. If anyone has any answers for me that may be helpful, I would greatly appreciate it.

Avatar n tn I have had pain under my left breast that extends around under the left shoulder blade. This has been off and on in severity for three weeks. It hurts more when I cough, sneeze, lay down, bend over and raise my left arm.
Avatar n tn I ahve pain under my left breast and close to my arm pit hurts when i lift and cough sneeze or take a breath someone hit me so just wondering if that caused it they hit me while we were wrestling with their elbow
Avatar m tn This sounds like that some nerve may be compressed in arm. Therefore, underlying bone/tissues compresses when you sneeze or move your arm. I would suggest consulting a neurologist here who would like to clinically examine you and/or order few investigations like MRI to reach at probable diagnosis here. Hope this helps.
Avatar n tn My arm feels better but my whole shoulder spasms now. I think your pain may be comming from DDD . Do you have sgoulder or arm pain also.
Avatar n tn It racks around my chest cavity and is a very sharp, prolonged pain. The pain also moves down my right arm, stopping usually before it goes into my palm. I never experiance the pain in my left arm, but it does exist in my left collarbone / shoulder area. I've browsed around a few forums and think that it could possibly be Musculoskeletal, and perhaps even a cardiac issue.
Avatar f tn the pain now radiates down my upper arm. I can not lift my arm above my head or out to the side. Rasing my arm out front of my body is ok unless my hand faces up. Night time is hard to sleep and i wake up when i move because i jolt my shoulder. The other thing that bothers me if i cough or sneeze i get sever pain. If i reach out or to the side the pain is so bad that i gasp for breath from the pain. How bad is the shoulder?
Avatar n tn I was just wondering what may cause joint pain for a few minutes after a sneeze, usually in my neck, shoulders and arms all the way to the wrist (primarily the left arm some on the right). Is it a vitamin deficency?
137307 tn?1330977597 You know that bad headache we get when we cough, strain, sneeze, laugh (laughing is the worst for me). Well lately I've been getting numbness and tingling down my left arm and hand when I do that and the numbness and "clumsiness in my fingers" last a long time. I've had all the MRI's and a CINE MRI and there is no tethered cord or syrinx. Does anyone else have this happen?
Avatar n tn For the last couple of days, I've had a piercing pain in my chest, back, and left side. Everytime I sneeze, cough, bend, drink, or eat, it hurts worse. Can someone tell me what this might be?
