Sneeze after waking up

Common Questions and Answers about Sneeze after waking up

Avatar n tn Since about Fall of 2004, when I am woken up by other people, I wake up yelling, kicking, and screaming obscenities as though I needed an exorcist. It ranges from just a few seconds to about 15 or 20 seconds. It's weird because I am aware of it when it happens, but it's like trying to control a sneeze half-way through. It's not night terrors because I'm technically awake, I haven't been traumatized in childhood or anything like that either.
Avatar f tn My symptoms seem to settle down as the day progresses and I don't sneeze while I'm in bed for the night. But as soon as I get up it starts up right away. Even if I get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom I will sneeze. Also if I touch or rub my nose (because it's itchy) I will sneeze. Then I have to blow my nose cause the sneezing makes it run. Then because I touched my nose to blow it, I start sneezing again. Its an endless cycle!
Avatar f tn About 2 months after I started getting the sensation but no follow thru. A firt I went 4 months without a sneeze 5 months later I went two weeks now its been about a month, no sneeze. I really believe its anxiety related.
Avatar n tn It felt like whatever was stuffing up came out and got better afterwards. Better soon after waking up. Hope this remedy helps somebody with nose-throat issues.
Avatar n tn I'am not waking up at night knowing my bladder is full. When I wake up I have already wet the bed completely.
Avatar f tn Im sorry for not getting back to all of you I had a bad week. I was referred to a new Dr as mine was retiring and this Dr doesnt believe in Narcotics so I was taken off the vicodin--cold turkey. this Dr would not even give me enough to taper off. The only thing that works for the pain but what was worse was the withdrawls for 3 days. Needless to say I am seeing a new Dr this week.
Avatar m tn The problem is, my sleep (which is usually less than 5 hours a night anyway) ***** now with my legs feeling like they're trying to run out of the bed and my nerves on fire. Waking up this morning at 3 am and unable to sleep I started researching full detox and am going off all the meds NOW. The recommendations I've found on this forum look very helpful and I'm grateful to all who have posted their suggestions and support. Now for the fun...
Avatar n tn The OB/GYN said that it was bigger then she initially thought, but was able to suck it through the tube. (Laparscopically). I actually felt better waking up from the surgery, then I do now. Then again... they were also feeding me Percocets, so maybe I was just out of it. They said I would be able to go back to work that following Monday, 3 days later... yeah, not happening. I couldn't bend, nothing. My stomach muscles felt as though they were being ripped out of me.
Avatar f tn I also find creating and sticking to a going to sleep and waking up schedule helps a lot to with sleep. What I mean by this is to not have nights were you're up until 3 A.M. and wake up the next day at 11 A.M. then following the previous day by going to bed early and waking up early. Make a schedule and stick to it. A breathing exercise that I have found to help with not only getting to sleep but relaxing works by lowering your pulse and clearing your mind.
Avatar n tn I still feel quite alot of pain when walking after a week and wondered if that is normal, as everywhere I read that people resume normal activities after a couple of days. I am not doubled up or anything, its just like having a constant stitch, and when i take a step, especially around my belling button there is a kind of sharp tugging pain. Also some stabbing pains too that just seem to happn even when sitting still.
Avatar n tn After I had my son we were still in the delivery room for an hour becasue he ever time he tried to close me up I my uterus would contract and he would loose his grip and I would open back up again. After numerous attempts he finally was able to close me up but he rushed this procedure. While I healed my uterus & fallopian tubes bind together and became attached to the lining of my stomach.
Avatar n tn My girlfriend had ivf and had to stay after at the clinic for 4 hours with her pelvic up. my clinic let me go after 30 minutes. that made me nervous. any thoughts.
Avatar f tn I wish I could help you with your question on natural supplements, but I can tell you in just the past week, I have regained some sort of a sane lifestyle. After waking up in the morning, I have to use the bathroom about five times. As I have mentioned, I am on Cholestyramine. On my own, I have changed it to once a day, in the AM. I do not eat breakfast or lunch, just some crackers now and then. I am able to have a peaceful day with maybe using the bathroom once.
Avatar f tn They say if you're going to Hyperstimulate you will do so a few days after retrieval. Well, my bloating, etc....just got worse and worse after retrieval. I really thought they were going to cancel my transfer. Luckily, it didn't get too bad, but progressively kept getting worse AFTER my transfer. It's been a rough week, BUT, yesterday I started feeling better. I've had more IVs and blood this week than everything else combined! I'm still having cramps, but they're definitely mild.
Avatar n tn I didn't do anything the day after surgery but the following day I was up and around doing stuff around the house....I know I probably shouldn't have but I didn't lift anything heavy and still am not. My belly button is still a little sore although almost completely healed now. The pain was really not bad at all for me, but everyone is different. Best of luck to you!
Avatar n tn Today I feel like yesterday, that is to say better in comparison with last week. I have the usual pain behind my shoulder, but no numbness, no tingling, just a very, very faint strange sensation in the usual right hand and foot. I am convinced that the cure my doctor gave me is responsible for this.
Avatar n tn I am also glad I found this post, since I was beginning to feel like I was the only one who had such a complaint, and it was just plain weird. After several years of putting up with these "flu-like" symptoms after aerobic exercise, I think I have finally found out what's going on. While scanning the web searching for answers, I came across a site that deals with digestive ailments, and their possible influences on your body.
Avatar n tn 1)causing me no less sleep, just waking up with pain to 2) waking up an hour or two early to 3) only being able to lie down for a couple hours before pain started and woke me. From beginning to end about three months. Then 3.5 years at level 3. Anyone want to offer life style specifics? At the time this started for me I worked, standing and walking on unpadded concrete floor for up to 15 a day, 4 times a week. Very similar to the retail job mentioned in the first post.
Avatar m tn 00 when my wife starts her early am stretches. But I feel ok, at least I got a few hrs sleep!
Avatar f tn My ND diagnosed me with having low stomach acid after I complained of waking up with excess phlegm. A simple test confirmed very low stomach acid levels and I now take Betaine HCL with pretty much every meal. The symptoms of low stomach acid are very similar to those of excess acid but include excess mucus production due to your body not having enough acid to balance out the mucus. The Betaine HCL has helped both with the phlem/mucus but also with bloating.
Avatar f tn As a side note, Its interesting to hear so many say not to see a chiropractor after chiari decompression (both here and elsewhere) I specifically asked my NS if i could and she said i could. At my follow up after my mri , my surgeon said there is plenty of room now since she removed the tonsils and she's not worried about me seeing a chiro. Still hesitant. I do have EDS and constantly feel the need to crack my joints. My husband wants me to just get the surgery. He just wants me better.
Avatar n tn Then severe abdominal pain began which literally made me double up. After a second gush I went to the ER and had an ultrasound. Was told that fluid is building up behind scar tissue and releasing sporadically (no kidding), uterine contractions to expel these pockets were probably causing the pain. They offered another D&C but being concerned about even more scar tissue forming, I declined.
Avatar f tn I have been going back to the Dr's every 4 days so that he can suction out the sinus and I can not begin to tell you what comes out, not human but after I can breath again. Than after approx 3 days I block up and can't breath through my nose again. My jaw is in pain from mouth breathing. I am on antibiotics for 24 days, steroids to reduce swelling, anti nausea medicine and pain pills. I found this site today because I am starting to get a odd smell, not tire like but almost sweet.
Avatar f tn I've read and heard the bloating/swelling part you get after a hysterectomy can last up to 1 year too. I wake up and am one size and by night I'm bigger all over from the swelly belly type thing. I'm just at my 5 weeks of recovering and no where near putting on regular clothes. I've had a infection with an abscess inside since surgery and now a infected area in my stitches. It's been an interesting journey. Check out also for answers.
298579 tn?1192250448 I have the exact symptoms as described and was amazed to find that other women experience waking up in pain after an erotic dream. It's just so horrible. My boyfriend and I have been having less and less sex without really making a decision about it. The pain is awful but it's almost as bad waiting on it to happen. Of course, doctors have been useless. I have experienced the whole, try getting drunk before having sex approach(pretty bad considering it was a gynaecologist who suggested that one!
Avatar n tn I totally know what you mean. I did IVF, and up until the day before I went in for my beta, my HPT's were coming back negative. I was so down thinking it did not work. When I went for the beta blood test, my level was 95. So, at that level it should have should in my urine, but it didn't. They said that it was probably due to the rate of absorbtion - I having a slower rate. Now, you could have a faster rate of absorbtion which would mean that a Congratulations is due.
2120085 tn?1344769510 one side goes numb -Headpain when coughing/sneezing/straining -I am going to say insomnia because I always have a hard time falling asleep unless I am sooooo tired -Some times I wake up gasping for air like sleep aponea -I cant think of any others atm...
Avatar n tn Did you consult an attorney with your work injury? My surgery was also the result of a work injury. I have retained an attorney and he told me that the company that I work for would be responsible for all medical bills pertaining to my neck or any area that was effected from my injury for the rest of my life. I know how bad the pain can be, I just hope it will eventually get better. I'm so sorry for your lose and I wish you luck.
Avatar n tn Ms Smile- Have you ever been diagnosed with Lupus? After 3 miscarriages, I'd be concerned that something is up. I am 38 also (soon to be 39) and trying to get pregnant again. I have a 2-year old daughter. If you really want another baby, it would be worth looking into why you had so many miscarriages. Just my thoughts...
Avatar m tn I sneezed sooo much during the first couple weeks...I use to think it was my brain and relexs just waking up, and they had been sleeping so long..... Some symtoms are so weird...I would go from yawning to sneezing within minutes of each other.....
