Avatar f tn I sneeze out loud over and over after inhaling food aroma, pefumes, dust and during cold whether and i will be breathing heavily. Sometimes my face will be swollen n i will have pains at my back with blocked nostrils. However, i don't cough often but i sneeze alot with a fast and heavy breath. There was a time i was treated with ventolin, aminophinine and hydrocot and i was relieved. But after some period, i developed d symptoms again. Does it mean am asthmatic?
Avatar n tn My wife noticed that every time I started chewing gum I would sneeze. She suggested I stop chewing mint gum for a while. I am a different person now. I went back to the allergist and asked to be tested for mint and we got a positive. The doctor’s comment was “first time in five years that I get a positive to mint.” Well..., he may not ever found another case of mint allergy because it is not in his “default” test repertoire, and people don’t even suspect it to request it.
Avatar n tn ve been having these really strong mint cravings, especially after taking my meal.Any ideas??
Avatar n tn Does anyone know about an allergic reaction after eating a mint candy and loosing your voice at the same time??? I'm allergic to aspirin, and to many other things, plus I have chronic Asthma.
Avatar n tn Hello, It is possible that you are allergic to mint or any of the constituents in which mint is a co-constituent like in tooth pastes along with mint, number of other ingredients are present. You can find out whether you are allergic to mint or any other ingredient by getting allergy testing done. Skin tests are used for this purpose. This test involves pricking, scratching or injecting food extracts into the patient’s skin.
Avatar n tn When I eat certain foods, I haven't figured out what, I think mint, I get painful aches in my joints in my legs and I run a fever. It comes back about once a day for three days in lessening degrees each day and then vanishes.
4430052 tn?1355003242 I've been looking around and not finding a direct answer to this question. Is peppermint okay to having during the first trimester? What I want isn't peppermint candy, or tea. It's a peppermint water, that is already bought and prepared from the store. All that's in it is purified water and mint. I also have this other drink. Made by the same company that's Chocolate Mint water. It just just has purified water, mint and coco essence.

Avatar n tn I have a cold. Everytime I sneeze, I get these tingling pains in my arms.. ANyone have any idea what causes this??
Avatar n tn For the first week it even gave stabbing pains when I breathed, I had to wear a tight brace around my chest. After a week it still hurt bad if I coughed. It lasted another six weeks. If I lifted anything, it seemed to make it worse. The pain felt like it was inside the chest and going into my shoulder/arm. I would describe the pain as the stitch you sometimes get when running, but ten fold. Do you think it could be the problem?
Avatar f tn I have held sneezes most of my life. After this sneeze I noticed a severe pain in my throat. I feel it all the time, eating, drinking, swallowing...but when I sneeze it hurts like heck! When I have to blow my nose and air is forced into that area it really hurts! If I have several sneezes in a row it hurts for a long time after. If I go for a few days with no sneezing or coughing, or blowing my nose then it subsides a little...but it comes back.
Avatar f tn 8 weeks of pregnancy left and feel like im coming down with a cold what can I take ??
4538600 tn?1360350751 Omg we tried the KY fire and ice a couple years ago and it had us both in the shower in tears after 2 minutes lol it was terrible.
Avatar m tn I have exercise induced asthma but it doesn't really affect me since i do a lot of sports but recently i have been having shortness of breath and a closed throat feeling. It happens every time i eat any type of mint gum but only when i first start chewing it. I think its like that first burst of juiciness that makes my throat act funny because after the first minute or so the feeling goes away.
Avatar m tn First, do not be embarrassed about seeing a doctor about ANY allergy or suspicion of such, this is YOUR health and you have a right to know. As to the symptoms, well, it may not be the mint, but, the additives that give the gum the mint flavor, most of the flavors in gum are artificial and you could be allergic to those.
Avatar n tn I can understand the mint obsession. My cat has a major mint/spearmint fetish. She will go after my gum in my purse-whole head in the purse! LOL Or, if God forbid, if I have it sitting there she'll chew on it with the wrapper on! It's funny, but it bothers me too because I don't know if it's safe. If I were you, I'd do some on-line searches to see what you come up with about the mint tea to see if it's safe. That is your best bet.

Avatar m tn I am a female and almost always sneeze uncontrolably for a few minutes after finishing meals in restaurants. For a long time I thought it was the wine...but drinking wine with meals doesn noot cause me to sneeze at home. Now I wonder if there is some kind of preservative that most restaurants use that might be setting me off. Does anyone else have this problem? Or an idea?
