Avatar m tn Hello, I am 16 years of age and I smoke marijuana every single schoolnight, and on weekends. I started smoking about 3 years ago, and have been smoking almost every day for a year and a half. What could be possible negative effects, is what I am wondering. It does not effect my work ethic, Ive gotten one C on a report card in two years. I love skateboarding, and stay active doing this every day that is possible. And I absolutely love to smoke weed, by myself, every night.
Avatar n tn The problem I have, apparently is over active pupils or pupils that open past the size of the implanted lense in poor lighting situations. This results in halo effects which blur my vision while driving at night, until a vehicle is driving towards me, then the light closes my pupil and everything comes back into focus. My vision is great in good light. Is there anyway around this ??? It makes my job quite difficult also.
Avatar m tn I had retinal detachment surgery 9 days ago. I have been experiencing temporary vision loss in the eye, for periods of seconds to 10 minutes, in the past few days. Everything goes black or a smoke gray, I then experience a sharp pain in the eye that shoots right to the back of my head and gives me a general headache. Then as the vision starts to return everything is blurred and goes on and off like that for a while.
709686 tn?1277432159 I started with Prilosec (omeprozole) and all was well until day 6 when I developed the worst, constant, headache, skin rash on my arm and blurry vision. A few days later I switched to Zantac (Ranitidine) and within 3 days noticed that I would wake up in the middle of the night with severe join pain in my elbows, wrists, ankles & knees, I developed seasonal allergy symptoms, tingling sensation in both hands and feet and back pain.
Avatar n tn I have been prescribed Acebutolol for PVC's and I am literally exhausted since beginning this medication but I didn't see that as one of the side effects. Also, my vision is blurred. Is this normal?
Avatar m tn I have had slow type of vision since i was 18,Now i`m 31 and i still have this weird problem,I or so feel worst when things happen so suddenly,And my vision feels slower and i become disorientated and tremble sometimes.I use too smoke but gave that up and feel better but still eyes feel same,(i had this problem before i smoked so smoking was not the blame. But it was the reason i started smoking.I feel tired most times but i have had heaps of sleep.I want too know is this a form of Anxiety?
Avatar m tn This can be dangerous and can cause a number of side effects. All the side effects that you may have can last any number of time. Weed effects each person differently and since you are young and it was your first time...it is hard to say how long it will last. I still think that if you are scared get checked out. If its been a while tell your mom and get checked out. Your health and life is more important then if you will be in trouble or not.
Avatar n tn Some allergy meds can cause nervousness, anxiety, agitation. I'd check out the side effects for yours online. Anxiety, from any cause, can make you sleepless, give you a racing heartbeat, tense muscles, shakes, twitches and all kinds of strange sensations. If you don't have to take the allergy meds, maybe stay off it for a few days and see if your symptoms subside. If that doesn't help, ask yourself if maybe you're under a lot of stress at home or at work.
Avatar f tn I quit smoking almost 2 wks now( withone night of smoking about a week ago). I'm not having cravings for a smoke, but i feel like I'm having an allergic reaction to something. Tightness of chest, sometimes its hard to breath, and sometimes I feel like I'm having a tiny panic attack. Is this normal and how long will this last.
Avatar n tn On the first stop, I went out with him expecting to have drinner and a couple of beers, but he was apparently wanting an old-timey drunken throw down. That night he pulled out ever peer-pressure move in the book to get me and another friend to stay out all night and drink with him... We both resisted like grown-ups (had things tyo do in the morning, etc) And he razzed me about it for he next coupe of months (we're on an online message forum together). So....
Avatar m tn Hello dear and welcome to the medhelp forum. Marijuana or weeds smoking can cause multiple effects and interactions in the brain when it binds with the specific receptors. It can influence memory, thinking, and ability to concentrate, sensory perception and cause incoordinated movements. This interferes with your ability to solve problems, and effect can last even for weeks after the acute effects wane off.

Avatar f tn I really really hate smoking, but I think that comment was incredibly rude. Just the fact you are posting this shows you are trying to look for ways to quit. I would suggest cutting down a few a day until you get to the point where you are almost at nothing. Also, I agree with momma_wolf. You need to find things to distract yourself with when the cravings get bad. Also, talking to your doctor might help because they might have better suggestions that won't give the baby withdraws either.
Avatar n tn IN THE EYE IT CAUSES CATARACTS, MACULAR DEGENERATION, BLOCKAGES OF THE ARTERIES IN THE EYE, REDUCES NIGHT VISION AND MAY MAKE GLAUCOMA MORE SEVERE. DON'T FOOL YOURSELF THAT IT WOULD KILL YOU.
Avatar f tn Google how smoking effects your baby. One was it increases the risk of sids (sudden infant death syndrome). That alone should be enough for someone to quit but a lot of moms turn a blind eye to the negative side effects. Best of luck quitting! !!
444932 tn?1273980797 I did have side effects with my vision at first on 0.5mgs one eye felt larger than the other or irritated some how. Had other side effects too ad anxiety. I adjusted by day 4 or 5 but I cut the 1mgs in half cuz I think they'd be way too strong. Also 115ishlbs. On thr 0.
Avatar f tn What are the side effects of smoking when pregnant? Did any of u girls smoke when u were pregnant? I'm 16 weeks and trying to quit but it a lot harder than I thought .
Avatar m tn As far as the static in your vision goes, that may clear up with time. From what little I have read on the long term effects of DXM, some of it clears up within a year. It's quite possible that your distorted vision will not be permanent. I'm not sure I feel the same way about my brain damage. I too know all about that aspect of DXM where boredom is transformed in exhileration. It's probably one of the most attractive things about DXM.
Avatar m tn In the vernacular the prognosis is guarded. It is unlikely your eye will recover normal vision. It is possible your vision might not improve any even after removal of the sutures. If the eye was hit that forcefully there is a possibility of damage to the retina, macula or optic nerve. Traumatic cataract or traumatic glaucoma are also possible. Start immediately to protect your good eye from another injury, eye disease and eye damage from unhealthy lifestyle and habits such as smoking.
Avatar n tn For over six months, I have had blurred vision in my left eye on a daily basis. I have a history of classic migraine with aura, and I have noticed that it appears to get really really worse with conventional migraine triggers - red wine, too much or too little caffeine, etc. Other symptoms also, including dizziness, "drunk" feeling, occasional confusion, some intermittent weakness, but the most prominent symptom is visual. It is rarely painful, though there is pressure at times.
