Avatar m tn I've read many studies on the research of marijuana on the lungs, brain, heart, etc. From my findings, I have found that moderate smoking poses little risk to the body. While I've ready pretty consistent reports on marijuana effects on the heart and brain, I read different articles about marijuana on the lungs everyday.
1342640 tn?1276181928 I think they are trying every way to keep one from smoking, and that's good. I know of no issues with smoking while on the medications, but I do know the long term effects of smoking and they're not good. But one thing at a time. Caffeine makes anxiety worse because it is a stimulant, so maybe this should be the first thing you work on giving up. Not all therapists are good, and you need to find another one that can address your particular issue.

Avatar f tn What are the side effects of smoking when pregnant? Did any of u girls smoke when u were pregnant? I'm 16 weeks and trying to quit but it a lot harder than I thought .
Avatar n tn I've recently quit smoking marijuana (45 days ago) and I'm still experiencing what I believe to be are withdrawal symptoms from the detox. I had been a daily smoker (2-3 times a day of high grade MJ) for the past 4 years. I loved it until I started to experience anxiety and paranoia when I would smoke. So, I decided to go cold turkey. I also just ended a pretty toxic relationship at the same time.
Avatar n tn But i stopped for almost a year with no problems. never really a big user. but recently i smoked alot over the past week. and i stopped smoking and drinking all together a day or two later because i was feeling really wierd. i get butterflyes in my stomach, sometimes randomly feel dizzy, disconnected from people and things.. i feel the best when i wake up in the morning and then it kinda starts through out the day.
Avatar n tn I was given 20mg of Lovan 7 months ago, I had the 4 - 6 weeks of dry mouth, increased anxiety, insomnia and jitters but when they subsided the Fluoxetine (Lovan) worked to a certain degree. 7 weeks ago I quit smoking and after 2 weeks anxiety and depression increased again. I returned to the doctor who increase the fluoxetine (Lovan) to 40mg.
Avatar f tn You should of course not be drinking any alcohol, doing drugs, or smoking. You should be avoiding toxins and living healthy.
Avatar f tn Thank you. Because the food we eat effects our entire body, diets and exorcise also has an effect on our entire body, so I was just curious if our eyes also benefits from a positive diet and exorcise.
Avatar f tn I have a close friend who has been addicted to marijuana for a long time, she also smoked during her pregnancy and no they did not test her for it when she gave birth. I don't know much on the effects of marijuana use during pregnancy but I strongly suggest that you look into that for the benefit of the baby. I know that she breastfed for quite a while, continuing to pass the drug onto her child. Our sons are the same age and have been friends since infancy.
Avatar f tn I still continued to smoke for a couple of days, but only a couple of puffs from my husbands cigarette 2-3 times a day, then I looked online about the effects off smoking whilst pregnant and quit straight away! There are times when I would like a cigarette but I care for my unborn baby a million times more than a dirty fag! Honestly the best thing you can do is quit, every time you smoke your babies tiny heartbeat has to beat extremely fast as it struggles for oxygen!
Avatar f tn The liver filters everything that goes into your body. The chemicals from smoking may not get a first pass through the liver as if you'd eaten them but smoking is not liver friendly.
Avatar f tn If you stop smoking, that's the best thing you can do. You are young, you've only smoked a couple of cigarettes and you can reverse the effects if you quit. Good for you for being concerned about it! Be tough and stop smoking now!
10175413 tn?1427170251 Hi Found this but I am sure you know smoking is bad and smoking with liver disease is bad, bad. I smoked for 28 years pack a day or better. Quit in 2002 after about 5 or more tries to quit. My mom and grand-mother both died from emphysema. Might want to put quitting on your list of things to do for you. I haven't seen anything about smoking being counterindicated per se while treating but can't imagine it would help with any side effects you may evperience http://hepatitiscnewdrugs.
Avatar f tn Look up some articles if you want to know the effects of smoking. You don't want to put anything into your body tat isn't good for either of you while you are pregnant. I don't know of any doctors who would encouraged you to continue smoking unless you are stressing out more from not smoking.
Avatar f tn People have many different opinions but there are no studys that find anything wrong with it unless you are smoking blunts which have tobacco in it or smoking a large amount daily i have also have drs say it would be ok to take a hit if it helps you eat and stops the nausea
1536705 tn?1324329047 As far as I know there have not been any actual effects found for smoking weed. The literature says the only known effects are the same of that found for smoking cigarettes. Although it just cant be good for mum or baby. She needs to ensure that she is taking in the correct vitamins etc and I dont know how smoking weed effects these thing in your body. Have a chat with her.
Avatar n tn I have been told by my doctor that there is no real on going research on the effects of smoking weed during pregnancy, that being said I do think that you should'nt smoke anything when pregnant as it is probably not good for you or your baby while pregnant. I also agree with some of the other moms on here and think they should legalize it I feel it is safer than cigerettes, but they would probably do warning labels for it like on cigerettes and alcohol telling pregnant women not to use it..
Avatar f tn Google how smoking effects your baby. One was it increases the risk of sids (sudden infant death syndrome). That alone should be enough for someone to quit but a lot of moms turn a blind eye to the negative side effects. Best of luck quitting! !!
644974 tn?1312758070 Are you trying to write a journal through the Journal interface or through the Tracker interface? On My MedHelp, on the Journals panel, you should see a link that says, Write a new journal entry. If you click that, you should see a form that has text boxes for Title, Journal Entry and Tags. Do you see that?
976084 tn?1270872439 I don't want to copy and paste what I wrote in my journal but if someone thinks they might want to help me can you please read it. Thank you for anyone who actually does...
