Avatar f tn Instead of modeling a therapeutic relationship, they hurry to get everything done and the teaching in also and the patient feels like a small compenent on an assembly line. That this therapist has ceased therapy with you, does not doom you to surgery. Discuss it with the doc, ask if all avenues have, indeed, been exhausted. You can always refuse surgery. Things are not out of your hands. Here's a cyberhug (((HUG))) Now make an appointment to see the doc.

Avatar n tn My doctor has said only that I have arthritis in my knee and I have to be patient. On at least three occasions, I have been in tears in his office and asking what to do about it. He still tells me be patient. This is surely not normal.

356518 tn?1322267242 I am having an MRI done on Wednesday and go back to her on Friday to get the results of that - one main reason I haven't been posting/commenting as much lately, as it makes the pain worse sitting, so I, unfortunately, have to limit my computer time :( I totaly agree about how people who don't suffer with chronic pain just sipmly do not understand what we as CP patients go through on a daily basis.
Avatar n tn I help my dad deliver produce 2 times a week in the morning, and I am also a full time sales associate at Sears selling electronics (which I'm on my feet all day.) That may cause a little lower back pain, but it goes away when I'm not working. I have used a contour pillow, slept in all different kinds of positions (back and both sides), I always sleep with a full body pillow, and nothing has seemed to help. I would appreciate any suggestions, thanks!
Avatar n tn I have muscle spasm in or around the ribs on both sides (in the front under the breast and sometimes in the back at the same horizontal position), it feels like a ball rolling, in that it switches sides. It occurs even at night during sleep, painful enough to wake me. I only know that when I relax and stretch (the side where the knot is) using several positions I have to wait till it goes away, in many cases to have it return in other places described above.
Avatar n tn This second time around, I've been itching for 2-3 months. Last week I noticed a lump on my right side where my thigh begins. Right at the joint. I also noticed a few red spots. Which is strange because I'd itch but there wouldn't be any marks on my skin. I look normal. I went to see my doctor and he told me I had shingles. Which explains the red spots and the lump. He put me on Valtrex (sp?) and I've been taking it for the past 4 days.
