Avatar f tn Violence is a crime. The persons committing the violence need to seek professional help. They also need to pray God give them grace to overcome that. Someone will end up in jail.
10858973 tn?1416663532 Lol at the last comment about domestic violence. I'm pretty sure she doesn't whoop her husband's "A" in the bed. That's just a little dramatic of you don't you think? Anyways Dear 38 weeks, I know how you feel... I'm 38 weeks, big and uncomfortable and on top of that, sick!! As far as the snoring goes, I usually do try to poke and prod him to roll over cuz that does help most of the time.
Avatar f tn Yesss! Omg the dreams are horrible & mostly involve violence/death. It has gotten to the point where I refuse to sleep alone. I'll sleep under my parents if need be & I'm grown as hell.
Avatar f tn yes it is normal because childhood we didn't have responsiblities and have to work, we could have lazy days, sleep in days, and life was slower. I was a kid in the 1970's. Life was slower, people stopped and chatted as you walked down the street, now people are on the computer inside trying to talk online! It's technology that changed us. 90's and 2000's were too bad either. I loved the 70's and 80's.
Avatar f tn It only occurs when i sleep somewhere other than home, i am not too concerned about the sleep walking, but sleep hallucinations are also occuring. During sleep hallucinations i normally believe a small animal is loose on or around my bed. I will try to catch the animal for sevral minutes, knocking over ordamnets of my shelf or disrupting my bed. I will feel panic and 'jump' when i first see the animal.
Avatar f tn Yes, as long as you don't use violence. Try and get enough sleep and stay away from junk food. It'll get better I did the same thing, I only do it sometimes now, its gotten alot better! Good luck!
Avatar f tn I hear ya!! I have night mares EVERY night! Someone coming and yanking my baby away from me, killing us while we sleep.. ughhhhh. It goes away after pregnancy!
Avatar f tn There is a warrant out for my bd on a domestic violence charge I put on him almost 2 months ago. I honest to God am scared to let him anywhere near my child. Although I don't want to take my son away from his dad but there is something seriously wrong with him for him to be able to treat me how he has with our baby growing in me. I just feel like he really doesn't care about him and will be very careless.
Avatar f tn My partner and I have been together for 4 years. Our relationship started out almost like a fairytale, then turned into a nightmare. There was a lot of domestic violence, and he's now in prison for it. He's not serving a very long sentence as I've stood by him, withdrawing statements and trying to get him out of trouble basically. Due to the violence and stuff, no one in my family knew I was seeing him, and I didn't talk to his family either.
Avatar m tn I am in the middle of an investigation where I turned my ex husband in for Domestic Violence. He pulled a gun on me and he is in Law Enforcement. My mom does not believe me. She said she will not support me until she hears the story from everyone who was present. How can I get her to see I am telling the truth? I am in counseling but it hurts that she is not there for me.
Avatar f tn When violence, or the threat of violence is involved, your best help is from the police. Once they safely remove him you can go about leaving. Your best bet might be a battered women's shelter.
Avatar n tn Does he watch TV and use the Computer , has he possibly seen some violence on either, has he older siblings who may watch stuff like that or at friend's houses?
Avatar n tn Hi, I have a 4 year old daughter who goes up to bed fine without coming out of her room during the night but does not go to sleep until me or my husband goes to bed. (we always check they are asleep before we go to bed, and we go to bed a different times since we found out that she is not sleeping) We have found that when we go to check on her and my other two children she is wide awake. We then check on her half and hour later and find she is fast asleep.
Avatar f tn All of a sudden one of my 6 year old twin boys can't go to sleep because he's to afraid something will happen. He mostly talks about robbers coming into the house. My husband and I try and reasure him that everything will be ok, but the only thing that works is when one of us goes to bed upstaris as well. He also shows some paranoia during the day. He always has to know where we are and likes us to be very close by.
377493 tn?1356502149 This has progressed to refusing to go down for naps (and no question, he is tired and still needs them) and now refusing to go to bed at all without us. He is a restless sleeper and no one gets any sleep this way. I have read a multitude of books on the subject (as well as on line articles) and still no success. I don't want to let him cry it out, but am not seeing any other option at this point? I would be so grateful if you had any advice or insight as to what is going on with him?
Avatar m tn One night in a sleep lab is not necessarily indicative of every night that you sleep. Maybe you need a repeat study. Also, there is such a thing as have a loaner of an auto titrating machine you could use at home for 2 weeks to see if anything more shows up that did not in that one night. With all the apnea in your family, I would push for followup - and push expectantly. You know the dangers of this diagnosis.
Avatar m tn Your biggest take-home point with the escapade you mentioned should probably be to avoid getting involved in physical violence. There is not only physical and emotional blowback to that kind of violence, as you are experiencing, but there can be legal implications as well, and I'm sure you don't want to go there, either.
1216685 tn?1280403369 Well, it could be bipolar or it could be a lot of other things. Bipolar is not exactly violence or anger. It is a polarity between mania and depression with phases of "normality" in between. Although some people with bipolar do experience anger and intrusive thoughts such as violence, it is not the key symptom. You should check the health pages here for more information. Also, only a psychiatrist can diagnose you with bipolar disorder.
