1450627 tn?1296616593 I am not having any problems getting to sleep its just waking up a hundred times that gets to me. I sleep with a body pillow and every time that I roll over (which is very frequently) I have to readjust so its just as comfy as the other side. Plus, I am getting up 2-3 times a night to pee. Sometimes I try and hold it because im too tired to get out of bed but when I do that I cant fall back asleep with a full bladder anyways. I agree with the other person who said to try and sleep alone.
Avatar f tn But persistent inability to sleep could be problems with initiating sleep or maintaining sleep is called insomnia. Problems with breathing (Obstructive sleep apnea), certain medications, restless leg movements and sleep walking/talking could contribute to insomnia. Follow good sleep hygiene measures like going to bed at the same time, waking up at the same time, avoidance of alcohol, smoking and caffeinated beverages. Also, do exercise in the daytime this promotes good sleep.
739988 tn?1386672969 I have a terrible time getting up in the mornings. I often sleep until noon or later. When I do get up early, I feel awful. Tired, sleepy, my stomach gets upset.... I have had a sleep study but they couldn't find anything wrong. I know I am in a mild depression right now, but I have had this problem my whole life, even when I am manic! Also, no matter how late I sleep during the day I am ready to go to be at about 9 or 10 pm. Does anyone have any advice?
5612058 tn?1373576034 They should wake up on their own when they get hungry. Some even sleep through the night from the first night on.
Avatar f tn This could be caused by sleep apnea, teeth grinding, restless sleep, or even restless leg syndrome. Sleep apnea is a very common sleep disorder wherein you stop breathing numerous times during the night causing the brain to wake you just sufficiently to start your breathing again, but you are not aware of being woken. This results in very light and disturbed sleep which often means that you wake in the morning with a headache and tiredness.
Avatar n tn from what i recall i cant remember him saying or doing anything, but all i know is waking up looking for him, like waking up from a deep sleep in order to find him, like a mission or something.
2062192 tn?1333714423 I cant sleep on my back (my body has never let me sleep on my back for as long as I can remember), and the only position I see to get comfy on is on my tummy but coked up slightly on my right side with my knee helping to prop my side up a little but I move a lot in my sleep and every time I change positions I wake up feeling a bit sick and get a slight pain in my abdomen. I've tried propping myself up with pillows and blankets but it dosnt seem to help...
Avatar f tn I was just diagnosed with sleep apnea. That could be why you are waking up a lot. The doc told me that. Also you may be worrying a lot. I know I have been doing that too. I don't know if this helped but know you are not alone.take care.
Avatar f tn Not yet... but I do still wake up in time to go to work on my days off.. lol . I work 10 hrs a day and all I wanna do when I get home is soak in some warm water.
3862348 tn?1348379200 Are you sleeping well ? If you are waking up a lot or finding yourself very sleepy during the day, this could be what is going on. The Dr.. said I have central sleep apnea, and have probably had this most of my life, a simple sleep study found this, and now I use a bi-pap machine, I now sleep very well (although it took awhile to get used to), and have not had those paranoia experiences since.
Avatar f tn A recent one would be my cat ran away after some moving and finally getting him and my aunt (lives with me) to the new home and 10 minutes later he got out from the stress and he’s gone again. After that I’ve been waking up dizzy and sometimes I’d feel a headrush as if blood flowed down out of my head in a cooling sensation when I wake up. I’m wondering what it could be and if it’s only stress induced or another anxiety issue.
Avatar m tn Hey guys, I'm not too sure if I'm asking the right group but. it's worth a try. Lately I seem to be having problems waking up at midnight with a high heart rate. I can't get back to sleep without taking klonopin, I think it makes me sleep but isn't doing anything for the heart rate. I am only taking 1/2 tablet of synthroid (25mcg) low dose and I still have a TSH of 6.6.
Avatar f tn The worst for me is the nightmares, they seem so real, and waking up covered in sweat when my air conditioning in my home is cut down to 65 degrees. Anyone having these problems?

Avatar m tn I have recently been having racing heart in the middle of the night that is waking me up every night. I am supposedly hypo right now but, my antibodies are really high and I have been having some dizziness and anxiety during the day. I beleive the palps are from thyroid attacks at night since I do not have them during the day. I will have them for 5 days straight then they will go away and then come back again.
Avatar n tn Breathing stops for about 10 seconds. The person wakes up and goes to sleep again, only to be woken up by the choking again after some time. This continues throughout the night. The person does not feel fresh the next morning, and feels as though he/she has not had enough sleep. Some of the people suffering from sleep apnea are obese.

Avatar m tn So basically i wake up very often during the night panicked. I usually stand up suddenly and walk away from the bed couple of meters. Sometimes it's because i think there are bugs and spiders in the bed, other times im not really sure why. I realize usually pretty quick that nothing is really going on ( in the matter of seconds ). I have had different kind of sleep disorders, from sleep talking to things i cant even describe.
Avatar f tn I sleep from 3am to 12pm on good days. On bad days I toss and turn all night which leads me to painting a picture or watching a movie. Netflix is my bestfriend! My hips hurt every now and then. I bought 2 mattress pads and I have a body pillow, definitely a big help.
287996 tn?1312023682 I've had that too, woke up feeling like I had been holding my breath, like a startle, usually just as I drift off. It comes and goes for me. It's never stuck around long enough for me to get in for a sleep study, and my wife says she didn't notice snoring or gasping. Rather odd, but I've never been able to get to the bottom of it.
798555 tn?1292787551 It is my sleep issues that led me to discover my thyroid problems. I wake up to 8 times a night with night sweats. (completely soaked) I am peri-menapausal, but I have absolutely no hot flashes during the day and no other menapausal symptoms and the doc seems to think that they are so extreme because of thyroid issues. I have been on a long road over the last year and am having my thyroid removed on the 3rd because of size, compression symptoms and inconclusive biopsies.
7612493 tn?1393737078 Am I the only one? It seems as if since I got pregnant (even before I knew, now that I've thought about it) I've been up in the morning by around 7am!! Whether I go to sleep early or not.. haha. I used to be able to sleep in when I could, now no matter what... 7 in the morning is when I'm up. And I NEVER was a morning person. But it seems the morning is when I have the most energy now.. and later in the day is when all my pregnancy symptoms kick in. Odd. (: but I don't even mind.
Avatar f tn You are doing great! I hear you with the sleep...I've got over 9 months and sleep is a big problem but I got off a 20 years on opiates and am tapering off Xanax too. I am still in the dark and gloomy depressed state but am holding out to wake up one day to experience what you described. So do me a favor.....dance one out with your kids for me ok......and no matter how I feel tomorrow I will force myself to do the same! Keep up that great attitude...you wear it oh so well!
Avatar f tn I'm 39weeks and 4days. It's happened a few times but I'm noticing I'll wake up on my back. I know I shouldn't be sleeping on my back but I try every way to stop myself from doing it but in my sleep in will move the pillows and end up doing it. I don't sleep on my back all the time but I just notice I've been waking up like that recently. Should I be worried? Last night I was having severe back pain I wonder if sleeping on my back was the only thing that felt ok.
