I've been taking adderall for about 10 years now, and I've always had problems with my voice, specifically the volume of my voice. Especially when I take an extra tablet, the next day my voice is breathy and hoarse. Do you think this has to do with adrenal burnout? Or could it be LPR (silent reflux)? I worry the Adderall is altering stomach acid PH? which might be causing my lower esophageal sphincter to get stuck open, causing pepsin leakage into throat?
In your experience, would even mild narcolepsy result in excessive daytime sleepiness but only occassional sleep attacks? If I do not take Adderall I could nap at any point during the day, but sometimes I am just excessively tired and will lie down but I won't fall asleep, or at least not within 10 minutes.
Does narcolepsy exist in a very mild form?
Please do not think this is the adderall alone, I have just recently started taking the adderall again in the last 3 days and I have noticed before that I forget to breathe when I was not on the adderall. I do however think what happened to me in the car is because the adderall is making my sleep worse.
At this point I have found that eating more and getting at least two or three really good nights of sleep will restore the effect of adderall on normal dosage. Of course to get the good sleep you have to lower your dose of adderall for a day and don't take any after about 11:00 am in the morning they day you decide to get a good night of sleep. It also has to be natural sleep, no sleeping pills. I don't know why but 9 hours of sleep with sleeping pills does not do any good.
I have been taking Adderall XR 30mg for quite some time and have never had any problems on it. I was at a party recently and was moderately drinking (I only occasionally do so knowing possible interactions) when it is believed that I could have been unknowingly given an additional substance (marijuana was one theory, am planning on getting labs done to check everything). I apparently starting acting pretty crazy, yelling at people, crying, talking out of my head and possbibly hallucinating.

This is only my opinion, but I think this medication should be stopped. Little guys have no business to be on such heavy duty medication. He should be weaned off it. Dont give him any refined foods or sugar, juice or soda, candy, etc.
Welcome...I don't know about adderall however I do believe you can taper from it. Just wait and someone will be along that can answer you better than I. I know there are dangers in some meds so wait to hear or better yet call your dr in the a.m. and ask what is the safest way to do this.
t even like taking a Tylenol once in a blue moon for a light headache or anything, he was really worried that any amount of Adderall was a bad idea with all my sleep problems and this is just from the general info most of us know about the drugs like Adderall or any medication that had amphetamine somewhere in it, and yet he is dumbfounded at my lack of any reaction to the Adderall and deep down was hoping that possibly the Adderall could help me start functioning as a "normal" housewi
My friend daughter is taking adderall and vyvanse together for school but she been having more problems with her misbehaving is this normal.
I was never diagnosed as a child, though I have always had trouble concentrating. Over the past two years my memory problems have caused me to lose one job and continue to have trouble in others. I was wondering if anyone has any advice about getting off adderall...I have been taking it on and off without a prescription for about three years and with a prescription for the past five months. A daily nap helps but only if I take an adderall right before the nap and have some coffee right before the nap. I will sleep for 30 minutes to an hour and wake up with the adderall and caffeine kicking in and feel good to go for a few hours.

I know no one here is really qualified to answer this, but how would you think a low dose (10mg) of adderalls stimulating effects, compare to drinking energy drinks, and using nicotine several times a day (I chew, about 3 times per day). I am on a low dose of adderall, 5mg twice per day, it should probably be more but it has a positive effect and im comfortable with it right now.

I took it for the first time last night and actually felt calmer and had a good nights sleep for once. But this morning i have a mild headache and i feel an eye twitch coming on and my head just feels foggy. I do take adderall xr 20mg everyday and have been since i was 18. I have been slowly weening off it because i feel like the adderall is making me magnesium deficient. Anyways to add to all this my hormones are out of whack causing me to get mad easily or cry.
15 yr old daughter was diag with adhd 2nd grade - although was family "joke" adhd long before. 1st on adderall with explosive behavior - had to try before could take straterra, insurance. Strattera was fine for sev yrs - although only limited imp - just enough to tolerate her. Problems with social interaction and her mouth - she's constantly argumentative and I believe ODD. After menstruation began, strattera appeared worthless.
