I've recently been experiencing severe neck pain. Its unbearable to even sleep at night. Any suggestions on how to subdue the pain? It'd be greatly appreciated!
I have been having some bad pain in the right side of my neck. I have always had some neck problems but it hasn't been this bad in awhile. On top of it all my right shoulder is hurting and so is my right arm. My arm muscle is so sore and feels so heavy and tight and I haven't done a whole lot. I have taken Tylenol and tried biofreeze but nothing is working. Has anyone else had this happen? I'm 9 weeks right now.
Can anyone give me any advice on what they do to combat neck pain. I'm in agony with it and have been given no pain relief from my doctor.
About 3 or 4 days ago I started getting pain starting on both sides of my neck, starting at my jaw line. It radiates down and into my shoulders. It's a kind of burning pain. Don't take any medications. When it happens it lasts a few minutes then stops but usually starts again right away, then stops totally.
Without medication pain level is above 10, after medication pain level is 9. My pain is so severe that it appears to lock the turning of my neck to the right. I am asking for any help regarding if there is exercises for this type of problem. My mornings after waking are the worse for me. I have been sleeping with 2 pillows under my legs, flat on my back, and 1 pillow under my head but this doesn't seem to be helping either. Is there any help for me?
s way worse!!! Every time I move my neck it hurts. When I turn it to the side, Its a pretty sharp pain about an 8 out of ten that shoots all the way from the top to bottom. Letting my head lay straight down doesn't really hurt. Turning it in any way or putting it back hurts. Sleeping hurts. And I never rallied how much Swoosh my head to move my bangs until recently, when it started to hurt. I am so tired of this.
A van side swipped her mini-van and cause some severe neck damage. This damage cause constant pain in her neck, migrains, and some numbness. The treatment they prescribed was getting cold injections to the nerves in neck and head. She received three treatments over the past year with some short term relief of pain but always come back. Beside this treatment she been doing a routine of physiotherapy, deep tisse massage, water therapy with some relief but not enough.
Now two months later the cold/flu symptoms have subsided and I now just feel dizzy all the time and my neck has become abnormally heavy, making it hard to hold my head up. The neck pain is the worst of it, I am waking up in the night having panic attacks of some sort. I find that when the pain gets worse I go numb, mainly my head and arms. I am currently under a lot of strain from my university workload and my part-time job.
Whilst out running I fell down a steep slope tumbling head over heels and hitting my neck & lower back on rocks and knocking myself out for approximately 30 seconds, I went to doctors who told me its just bruised and there's nothing wrong. they did not look at my back or neck. I have shooting pains and feelings of water being poured down my legs, any pressure on the back of my neck gives me horrendous headache and my vision goes blurry. I am worried as this has been a week and half now.
I have suffered from headaches of varying degrees, well, as long as I can remember. I'm 28 now. I had a neurologist that just kept upping my topamax, even after a brain mri. Went to a new neurologist and she looked at the mri and said my brain sits lower in my skull then normal and ordered a neck mri of some kind. i find out what she has to say in december. she also took me off all the meds the other doctor had me on..
headaches have improved since coming off previous medications.
It sounds like you need to get to a doctor as soon as possible.
I am a LimboLander with an uncomfortable new symptom--or maybe not a symptom?? I have a stiff neck--and not the kind that you get after you sleep weird--and not like something is "out." It's just this line of pain from my neck dowm my right arm--and up to my jaw--I feel stupid asking because maybe it's just a stiff neck--but I've never had pain like this before and was just wondering if this sounds like something to add to my log of sx or if it seems unrelated.
Google Spinal Disc Decompression and Cold Laser Therapy. Seven montha ago they removed the bones in the back of my neck and replaced it with rods and 18 screws. That was my 8th neck nurgery and am fused from C3 thru T2, now that my neck is totaly fused my pain is pretty much gone after 25 years, so it can still be fixed don't give up. Keep me posted, been there done that.
I have pain in my neck and shoulder, sometimes i feel numbness in my fingers, my neck swollen and now reached my hand, i have alot of headache and difficult breathing while i am sleeping, also my sed rate is high. the doctors took alot of checkup and try to the problem but still they don't know the problem,,i am just wonder what i am dealing with, can you please tell me what its i am suffering if you have any idea..
t have to if they interfere with your sleep. Years ago I took Paxil and it made me sleep and I remember all my pain going away. Noone seemed to care back then as I hadn't been diagnozed with FMS yet. Doctors just said maybe I needed the sleep hence I was sleeping so much.
The specialist I rececently told me not to nap at all (that will be hard) and not to consume any food or beverage with caifiene after twelve noon.
