Avatar f tn You sound to me like you are suffering the effects of sleep deprivation. Is there any way you could get yourself into a more regular schedule by any chance. If not, then you will just have to do what helps you the most. But I would talk tot he doctor about the Adderol. Are you officially diagnosed as ADHD or do you think you are ADHD b/c you cannot focus well? I need more clarification.
326352 tn?1310994295 how do you EVER get enough sleep? And of course, the diet gurus all say that adequate sleep is so important. How do you do that with 2 babies who are alternating their wake-ups....sleep restlessly (in our bed, they don't start there, but end up there around midnight)...and God love them, keep mommy from getting a good night's sleep. Vegas was good for the sleep, but 2 nights back at the house and my butt is dragging the ground. Is there a happy medium somewhere?
1542305 tn?1293169772 Insufficient or poor quality sleep that leads to chronic sleep deprivation can skew dreaming. As my sleep deprivation worsened, so did my my dreaming as I was going to sleep. Still do it, but it is less glaringly odd to me now.
5496522 tn?1368819256 Hi Everyone, I'm new to this forum (actually, any forum), and I was hoping to get some input from anyone who has suffered from complications post decompression surgery. It all began 2 years ago, when I hit a tree skiing. I suffered a severe concussion, but bounced back pretty quickly from the accident. A few months later, I began having neurological issues that were pretty serious, and after going from one doctor to another, I was diagnosed with Chiari.
2137079 tn?1335983532 I have to say I can sympathize with you as I am experiencing less than great quality of life after only one round of triple tx that was unsuccessful. I'm contemplating doing battle again but not with interferon. The fact that you completed three rounds in five years is a testament to your strength and determination. Sometimes I feel really P.O.'d about everything I have put my mind and body through only to be told I may be suffering from depression?!
768044 tn?1294223436 I had difficulty answering this, as my migraines are getting progressively worse. However, I chose "Not able to work...." as that's the best my migraines get. I then get worse from there.
Avatar f tn As a teenager I went through a year of sleep deprivation. I got about six hours of sleep a night. I felt very sleepy every day and even had feelings of confusion and derealization. Did I cause any permanent damage to my brain? In addition, has damage caused by oxidative stress and free radicals irreversibly increased my cancer risk?
Avatar n tn I am hoping that my side effcts are actually symptoms of sleep apnea.
1794093 tn?1357930759 I definitely understand the sleep deprivation. It really ***** :( I work overnights and have a terrible time trying to sleep during the morning/afternoons. Im also up every hour, or hour and a half, then still manage to work/do things around the house. I always thought the 2nd trimester was supposed to be the best, sure i dont feel sick anymore, but this has been brutal for sleep. Thats exciting about your ultrasound coming up, and really exciting that you are not finding out the gender!
Avatar m tn hey i have a question, a couple of weeks ago i wrote a post that was talking about how i thought i overdosed on cocaine and it turned out it was just a panic attack, and this weekend i didnt really get any sleep and was drinking till 4 am and woke up at 9 am and now i had one of those panic attack agains, do you think its all in my head or what? or is it sleep deprivation?
Avatar m tn An inappropriate diet will eventually cause wide spread random physical symptoms (as well as cause the same or similar issues as sleep deprivation) as your body depletes its store of vitamin B, Iron, magnesium etc etc. You said " i can't stop googling" I strongly recommend you to distract your self from googling and re-focus on decompressing and your college admission....
Avatar m tn If the high blood pressure just started, it could be a side effect of the Vyvanse. Even if you had high blood pressure before starting on the Vyvanse, the Vyvanse can make it worse. Try taking your blood pressure a few times on the Vyvanse and off the Vyvanse, at similar times of day and under similar circumstances. Depending on the results, you may need to talk to the doctor that is prescribing the Vyvanse to see if there is something else that can help your ADHD.
Avatar f tn Some discuss sleep primarily as a means to end a migraine attack, and think of sleep deprivation as a triggering factor. While others have emphasized excessive sleep itself as triggering factors. Patients with chronic recurrent headaches sometimes experience a worsening of headaches at certain times of life. Once you are in a bad headache cycle such as you describe, any sensory input may aggravate headaches, especially certain types of lighting.
410281 tn?1254229064 It's possible. Sleep deprivation causes a generalized nervous system excitability which can manifest in various muscle twitches and spasms. Mirapex (which is also used for Parkinson's) acts in your central nervous system to control your nervous system problems. Did you ever treat your sleep apnea? And if so, how was it treated?
Avatar f tn I have back pain in my shoulder and neck area which I think is a result of sleep deprivation. I am lucky to sleep one night in 10 and am so exhausted and low. When I sleep I run around trying to getall my jobs done as I never know when I can next tackle them. This has been going on for over 5 years. I had a period of about 3 weeks a few months ago when I started to sleep normally.
Avatar n tn Once you stop looking for a diagnosis and embrace management, I am not one for putting on a brave face and fighting to keep life the way it was before pain hit. You can have more control over your life, arranging it to encompass your limits, once you start building your own management plan...and I caution against letting a doctor do it for you, or try to push you to do more than you absolutely WANT to do.

Avatar f tn Chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia whether or not caused by Lyme disease are associated with a deficiency of slow wave sleep (62). Improvement of sleep quality, particularly slow wave sleep is strongly correlated with improvement of the chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia components of Lyme disease, which in turn benefits overall prognosis. In a milder case, this psychiatric treatment may lead to a total remission.
