I have had 100's of tests and been to mayo clinic, All the Docs feel that it's anxiety and depression and sleep deprivation. These are my symptoms: Can't fall asleep at night for a year, Body especially hands are shaking from that, back is burning up and sweating, Have the chills, and I have left sided tension headache. I'm starting Lexapro 5mg tomorrow and they feel this will reset my sleep cycle, and help me out tremendously.
What do you guys think?
I'm in the same boat looking for a neurologist who doesn’t just go with their pet illness. I’m also considering going back to the Mayo. I went years ago when I barely had symptoms compared to now. They were helpful, but couldn’t pinpoint my problem. The best part of my visit was a full-day psych eval. I had had docs telling me for years that it was psychological.

I've had every Blood Test in the Book, I've had an MRI of the Brain and MRA of the head and Neck.
As a teenager I went through a year of sleep deprivation. I got about six hours of sleep a night. I felt very sleepy every day and even had feelings of confusion and derealization. Did I cause any permanent damage to my brain? In addition, has damage caused by oxidative stress and free radicals irreversibly increased my cancer risk?
Truthfully, I've heard one of the best MS Clinics in the US is the Mellen Center at Cleveland Clinic. You might try checking out http://www.mscare.org
They list all the clinics available, etc. My neuro said the clinic at Cincinatti isn't that great but thinks Cleveland Clinic is really good. I've never heard of the Mayo Clinic being highly rated for MS, but more for heart desease.
I decided that I should travel to the United States and hopefully get a diagnosis. I know that Mayo clinic and Cleveland clinic have a good dysautonomia clinics but I don't know which one should I choose so I would appreciate any suggestions !!! Also I know healthcare in the US is so expensive and since I don't have insurance I wonder how much such a visit to one of those hospitals will roughly cost ?I know it's hard to tell but I'm asking for a roughly cost.

Maybe I was too harsh about Mayo. To be fair to Mayo Clinic, I do think they do have some very good doctors there, maybe it's just hard to get a neuro diagnosis - as it seems to be most other places in this country - so what's new?
I did really think the Mayo radiologist who looked at my films was excellent - he found a couple of things the original outside radiologist did not notice such as brain mass loss.
There not sure why warm milk help sleep as tryptophan only helps with the initial cycle of sleep but can disrupt deep sleep, but you may want to try it to help you get to sleep initially just only drink a small glass. There is something called Lactium in milk which relaxes infants but there is an all natural medication called dreamerz food that contains a consentrated amount of Lactium(enough for an adult) along with melatonin that has gotten alot of great attention.
I already was struggling with poor sleep due to sleep apnea that was undiagnosed at the time. At work my responsibilities increased and I was constantly rehashing in my mind the various decisions I had to make in selecting and writing specs for a data management software conversion. Then an extended family member was killed in the military and I had to plan the local service while the parents were out of state at the memorials on the base.
