Avatar n tn It was a large Band Aid that left a large Band Aid shaped rough patch of skin that itched like crazy. Made it worse by scratching it (with my finger pads to try and not gouge holes in me) but with Hydrocortisone and hand lotion (all I had for moisturizer ) it's getting better.
Avatar f tn So when I sleep I like to switch sides. Lately when I do I feel pain in my stomach. Its hard to describe but it leaves me moaning til the pain goes away. I thought maybe if I don't eat and drink before bed then it wouldn't happen. I have yet to test that theory lol. Should I be concerned?
Avatar n tn After the nurse drew blood, the nurse tore a band-aid and pasted it on the needle I just finished the blood. However, when the nurse put the Band-Aid, it was not accurate for the first time, and then when the second time was adjusted, the nurse's hand touched the center of the Band-Aid, and then put it on the eye of the needle I had just finished drawing blood. There would be a virus on my heart nurse's hand and then touched the center of Will I be infected in this situation? Thank you!
Avatar f tn About 6 weeks ago,I noticed a small dry patch on my jawline about 2 inches away from my ear.It seemed to shrink and harden and then I picked it off because it was annoying me,within a few days the dry patch had returned which again turned into a scab. The scab peels away easily from the edges but the centre does not want to come away.It does not bleed, itch and there is only 1scab.I have tried not to pick at it,but when I am uptight it becomes a habit and dont realise that I am doing it.

Avatar f tn If you get the headache, get the blood patch. If I had it to do all over again, I would have gotten the blood patch after day 3 of the headache--not week 3.

Avatar m tn The first sign is usually a tingling feeling, itchiness, or stabbing pain on the skin. After a few days, a rash appears as a band or patch of raised dots on the side of the trunk or face. The rash develops into small, fluid-filled blisters which begin to dry out and crust over within several days. When the rash is at its peak, symptoms can range from mild itching to extreme and intense pain.

Avatar m tn I am sorry for your horrific complications! It sure sounds like your surgeon was negligent. I developed the opposite problem (severe diarrhea) post-hysterectomy. I lost my libido too as well as my energy and motivation along with many other issues :( The patch did not work well for me. I had a long list of hormone deficiency symptoms, the worst being suicidal depression and fragmented sleep. Maybe the patch is not a good fit for you or isn't a high enough dose.
Avatar f tn Thinking it was just some weird ingrown hair, I popped it and some (not a lot) clear fluid came out. Sorry if this is TMI! I did not see a hair and grew concerned. There was a rougher patch of skin behind the blister. I poked at it and there was a hair under this rough patch of skin. Since then I've been cleaning it periodically with hydrogen peroxide and have kept it covered with a Band-Aid. Yesterday and today it is more of a sore.
Avatar m tn If she has been unable to walk since her lumbar puncture, has her doctor checked her for complications due to the procedure itself? It would be exceptionally rare, but were you suggesting a causal link? When you say 'she has been experiencing MS symptoms' can you be more specific? What began the testing? Was it her eye issues?
4194487 tn?1370046144 I use the pill because I have trust issues with everything else hahaha. But my sister uses the patch cause she was forgetting to take her pill all the time and so far its worked for her...it straightened out her irregular period and even cleared up her acne.

Avatar f tn Pain on site at back. Also high pain, burning on left hip, stomach, behind knee. Friday morning noticed third patch of bumps on thigh (more inward) and an increase of bumps on first set of thigh bumps. No blisters yet, no apparent fluid or breakage. Was covered with band-aids prior to increased spread. Still experiencing chills, lack of appetite, upset stomach (may be from valtrex), possible fever still. Question: how long will this spread before moving on to whatever the next stage is?

Avatar n tn What separates this from the others is that it is intense, (does not go away with meds, she has had Imitrex and another med is is currently on Morphine which is allowing her to sleep) but mostly because it is postural. If she is lying down it is tolerable, the moment she stands or attempts to sit up she has intense pain. The MRI was clear except for a small area which they related to the headache. Do you have any suggestions or ideas for easing her suffering? Thank you for your help!
Avatar n tn hi, i have dark brown skin and in the past year i have noticed a dark patch of skin appearing on my skin. This patch is much darker than the surrounding skin and takes the shape of a band which includes my temple on each side and my forehead. i started to notice this condition a few months after i got eczema on my temples and forehead. i have similar dark patches on my body where i have had bad eczema and i was wondering if these would go away too.
Avatar f tn m trying to sleep I put on a hot patch on my back last night nd I slept like a baby first time sleeping good in almost a month. .
Avatar f tn So sorry to hear about your sleep problems. I discovered that I sleep so much better on a plain old blow-up camping bed. The one I use is the store brand sold at Wal-Mart. The single costs about $11.00 and the electric pump cost $25.00. Since I sweat like crazy when I sleep, I had to double up on the quilted mattress covers. I blow it up to a comfortable firmness ( about 7 on an 1-to-10 scale) and I usually sleep comfortably.
Avatar f tn Hi all - I'm new to this forum, and considering decompression surgery for a 13mm herniation, which has caused headaches, neck and shoulder pain since age 13 (I'm 35 now). My surgeon recommends scoring the dura (versus a dural patch or graft). I've spoken with 4 patients who have undergone decompression surgery; all had a dural graft, and all had nausea and vomting for up to a week post-op.
Avatar n tn Hi everyone, I'm only 8 weeks and a FTM. I'm scared. I can't take going to sleep anymore. The nightmares have just been out of control. I try explaiNing it to my husband but he doesn't really get it. I was in marching band in Highschool and in my nightmare someone was hitting me in the stomach over and over on field with the lights radiating. No one would help me, my husband ran away and just it was awful. I just hope this passes.
