Common Questions and Answers about Sleep band gear
sleep
A place for baby to sleep. A car seat. Any cute outfits you run across that you have to have. A place to put baby clothes. I'm sure you will get a diaper bag but it might be nice choosing the one that fits you. You can never have too many socks.
I also use it for sleep monitoring since I have obstructive sleep apnea, and wear CPAP to correct it. The band give me a rough idea of how well I'm sleeping by monitoring movement. It's certainly worth a try.
I'm curious as to why you want to use it for SVT monitoring? Remember that it's measuring rate only ,and not wave form as an EKG does. It's been 5 years since my SVT was corrected, but I always know when one was happening.
So when I sleep I like to switch sides. Lately when I do I feel pain in my stomach. Its hard to describe but it leaves me moaning til the pain goes away. I thought maybe if I don't eat and drink before bed then it wouldn't happen. I have yet to test that theory lol. Should I be concerned?
Alright... I'm having baby gear overload. I need to start registering for my baby shower. This is my first child, and I'm not exactly sure what the MUST HAVE's are and the NICE TO HAVE's are. Like the crib, do I want a convertable crib or just buy a separate bed when the time comes is that a waste of money? What about having a mobile on the crib, does it really help put them to sleep that much?
Ok so I have fallen way off the band wagon and stopped doing weight watchers, stopped exercising, and stopped caring. I am going to get back on the band wagon though and start working hard to take the pounds off.
Luckily I haven't gained anything just haven't lost any either. I will have to motivate myself and get my matabilizim back in gear again.
i just started using the Bi-Pap...so my sleep study was just done. I have asked for a chin strap for my head gear so hopefully that will stop me from catching flies at night! LOL!!! Thanks for you reply!
I already was struggling with poor sleep due to sleep apnea that was undiagnosed at the time. At work my responsibilities increased and I was constantly rehashing in my mind the various decisions I had to make in selecting and writing specs for a data management software conversion. Then an extended family member was killed in the military and I had to plan the local service while the parents were out of state at the memorials on the base.
Just left doctor, they said they saw an amniotic band and now I'm in full time panic mode . Ftm. Scared to sleep on my side now, because I'm paranoid the baby might get stuck to the band. Help ? What to do ?
thanks for ya comment, im 47 now, been on the gear over 17yrs, been clean off it about 2months, but man its a struggle, the streets are awash with drugs these days, just gotta be tough and stay away from the so called m8's
Hello hello. Ok so day 5 is here. Terrible night trying to sleep. I think I took like 8 bathes yesterday last one 1 am. Ugh I want sleep!!! It's a little too early to see how I'm feeling cause right now I'm sleep deprived. It also doesn't help that good ole aunt flo is in full gear ahead.
Most boys as their hormones kick into gear emit some semen while they sleep (a little or a lot). Totally normal. Just ask him if he is having any pain or anything he wants to tell you or his same sex parent about. If he says no, don't worry about it.
Hi everyone, I'm only 8 weeks and a FTM. I'm scared. I can't take going to sleep anymore. The nightmares have just been out of control. I try explaiNing it to my husband but he doesn't really get it. I was in marching band in Highschool and in my nightmare someone was hitting me in the stomach over and over on field with the lights radiating. No one would help me, my husband ran away and just it was awful. I just hope this passes.
If you do have sleep apnea, the treatment is that you will sleep with a CPAP machine. It stands for Continuos Positive Air Pressure. You wear a mask that blows air down your passages to keep them from closing when you sleep. Cause when they close is when you stop breathing.
Id it is determined you have sleep apnea it is vital that you wear the cpap eveytime!! You can die from sleep apnea just as easily as a baby can die from sids.
how likely is it that i could have contracted hep c. from sharing the same snorting gear (20 dollar bill) with someone else?? would there have to have been blood on the bill? please help i am very nervouss and cant sleeep at all.
Well I figure we can share some ideas and things we've learned so far.
For example I purchased the belly band on diapers.com (they sell them at Target as well) With the band I'm able to wear my regular jeans a little longer. I cant get any of my buttons anywhere close to each other but I can put the band on and everything stays in place. I've been pretty comfortable wearing it.
Also I bought a pair of maternity pants.
I just want to sleep in my tummy!!!!!! My hips hurt, plus I have to sleep elevated because I can't breathe!!!! I'm 33 1/2 weeks. I am so ready for it to be over!!!!! Much kudos to the mommies who do this 15+ times!!!!! I couldn't hang!!!
