period

Avatar n tn I should also add that I am not currently on any birth control. (I have not been sexually active in several months and am 100% certain I'm not pregnant.
Avatar n tn Your recent periods have changed, but only slightly. One time when I was on the pill (loestrin, 8years) I SKIPPED AN ENTIRE PERIOD, obviously freaking out.... I ran to planned parenthood to get a pg test, and it was neg. The nurse explained to me that sometimes your body just does something different, and that's ok. It wouldn't hurt to see the dr. If you buy an hpt, get an early response test, which very well may be more sensitive than the one your dr. would use.
Avatar m tn If they persist then get it checked from a gynecologist and get the birth control changed to other forms like extended cycle birth control pills which are to be taken for 90 days. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
Avatar f tn Hi, About two and a half weeks ago, when my birth control pack was finished, I skipped the placebos and started another pack which I know is bad, however I was only planning to do it once. I've been taking them regularly so I figured all should be fine. After about two weeks, I noticed that I was spotting very lightly. This has been going on for almost a week now every day in the morning for a few hours.
285848 tn?1219095913 being on birth control wont cause you to get a bfp would it? Stupid question i think but hey no harm in asking right?!
Avatar n tn Ok, so I have been on birth control for 2 yrs since my son was born. Well I forgot to get my prescription filled so I just skipped all of January with the pills and have not started them yet. I'm due for my period tomorrow but am not sure if I could be pregnant. How high is the percentage of getting pregnant only a month after not taking pills. My nipples have been sore but not my boobs. I get nausas sometimes.
Avatar f tn Okay so I skipped my period in August with birth control orthotricyclen, then I got my period on September 26th and had it for three weeks straight heavy bleeding and cramps the whole time.
Avatar f tn Last December, I had to switch birth control pills because I had different health insurance. I was put on Sronyx (Watson?) and then in Feb. I was put on Ortho Tricyclen Lo. In Dec. 2008, my doctor proscribed Yasmin to me so that I could take it for 12 weeks straight. I had no problems with doing this, I didn't have spotting or anything until Dec. 2009, but I had skipped a few days so I figured that was why.
464023 tn?1207329020 is it that my body still confused because I skipped my period? or that spotting I had last week was my period? could it be a sign of starting peri -menopause? Help!
Avatar n tn Hello all.. For 1 week now, I have been have brownish discharge or spotting. It alternates between very light, to moderate, nothing heavy. There have been spots of a deep red, and it's been more 'dischargy' than like a flow... Maybe a tiny clot or two, I'm wondering why. I changed birth control 2 months ago.
Avatar n tn I am 26 and have one son who i became pregnant with on birth control, and have since been preg two more times one tubal and on birth control and had to be terminated and i am currently preg and was on birth control. My mother also became preg on birth control. Both of us took it when we were supposed to. I was on the patch for the first two and then switched to the pill on this one.
Avatar n tn Im on birth control and i was wondering if i could skip my period while on the pill if i just dont take the last row pills that make my period come?
Avatar n tn Okay so, im on birth control and you know how they have the set of pills you take and thats when you get your period? well, let me start off by first saying that, ive skipped those pills for two months in a row. i got a yeast infection so i took the period pills this month. well, i took three period pills, got my period, so i started back on my regular pills skipping four of my period pills. well, ive taken six regular pills already and im STILL on my period.
Avatar f tn I would honestly never use birth control as emergency birth control because you never know how much hormone is in the pills and you could over or undermedicate yourself since the hormone levels could add up to more or less than a morning after pill. Huge doses of hormones at once are never good for you and could have messed with your cycle a little. Take a test if you suspect pregnancy is possible. Then, you can calm your nerves.
Avatar n tn My expected period was due March 7, 2006. On March 5th I started with brown spotting, then on March 6 I saw some red spotting. Not a lot, but enough for a pantiliner but it certainly wasn't a normal. Mostly when I wiped myself I noticed the red spotting. Then on the day my actual period was suppose to arrive I had pink spotting. I took a pregnancy test and it was negative. ??? Is it too early to test? How long should I wait? Could I be prengant?
Avatar n tn I have been on bc for about 12 years. I took orthotricyclen for most of those years until about 8 months ago my new gyno suggested Seasonique to help with my migraines. I thought it sounded great. I was on Seasonique for 7 months and I literally got to the point where I thought I was going crazy. I didn't know how to deal with life, I cried all the time, I wasn't motivated to do any of the normal things I did in life, etc. I couldn't make myself function like my normal self.
Avatar f tn I lost 20 lbs on birth control pills and was nervous and sick on a daily basis. I went off birth control 5 years ago and have been fine since then. Good riddens to birth control pills.....I now have an IUD and have gained my weight back. I had no clue what was wrong with me at the time, but looking back I had a HUGE problem. Good luck to all of you. My advice is get out while you still can. I caused alot of bodily harm while on birth control.
Avatar n tn i have been on birth control for about 8 months, right after my period last month about 2 days after i have intercourse... i have been waking up in the middle of the night feeling sick and i have had bad headaces and backaces, also my perods was barley anything this month im scared im pregnate and im still taking birth control what do you recomend??

Avatar f tn I have been on birth control for 2 months. Had some complications so my Dr. Switched me to a different brand and told be to take the rest of my active pills and take new pills starting that Sunday (which meant skipping the sugar pills) I still got my period but it is during the first week of the active pills of the new pack (which would have been my normal time if I took the sugar pills). Is this going to mess me up for the rest of the month and am I unprotected against pregnancy for this month?
Avatar f tn , untill I decide to get pregnant. So, birth control pills relieve endometriosis by stopping ovulation and decreasing the endometrium's monthly cycle of growing, bleeding, and shedding. They also affect the endometriosis growths, making them shrink and bleed less. Birth control pills are the first-choice treatment for controlling endometriosis growth and pain. This is because birth control hormones are the hormone therapy that is least likely to cause bad side effects.
Avatar n tn The doctors now say ANY birth control that shortens your period can cause this. Just trying to let people know!
Avatar n tn Hi, It is not uncommon for some women to experience very light (spotting) or no bleeding on the birth control pill. It would be a concern if you had missed pills during the cycle. A change in your birth control prescription may be able to increase the flow if this is a concern to you. Two pregnancy tests done a week apart are reliable for establishing that you are not pregnant.
Avatar n tn I have been on birth control for several years and have never had trouble with my period alway got it on the fourth week on Wed. This month is different I have taken the bill regularlly, probably better then most months. But this month I am spotting on wed of the third week. Should I be concerned and should I continue the pack as usual? I am also fighting a viral infection so I was wondering if the two could be linked.
