Avatar f tn She said may be your sugar is high because she saw my pee it was so bubbling. But i doubt it was scabies. But no rashes at all. But still itchy. Even in my lips sometimes i felt itchy there. Even in my balls. Then Today i felt itchy right in to my left shoulder. I put anti-fungal cream. It gone. And even at night i take anti-histamine to control the itchiness. Others said may be it's an skin allergy? Please help me.
Avatar n tn Thanks - that's good to hear and reassuring. No, my mom doesn't show any symptoms of scabies (itching, rashes, etc.). I'll keep an eye out for her. Won't tell her about my own condition because she'll start imagining she has it.
Avatar m tn There is a rule that all family members of the patient of scabies also need to be treated even if they do not have any itching or rashes. Hence please ensure that all your family members also get the topical treatment. If the itching persists even after treatment completion then oral antihistaminics can be taken because itching of scabies takes some days to settle down.
Avatar m tn At that time, I had scabies rashes and itchy lesions on the base of my penis, scrotum area, and the groin folds on both the sides extending a little towards the inner thigh. During and after the sexual act, I noticed substantial vaginal fluids on my balls and surrounding areas, as also the base of the penis which was not covered with the condom. Although the sex was protected, I am worried that the vaginal fluids could have gotten access to my body thru the scab infected rashes and lesions.
Avatar m tn I was wondering how in the world we caught these bugs. My skin to skin contact is only limited to my son so I am thinking since he had the rash appear about 2-3 weeks before I started to breakout he caught it from someone maybe at daycare. But there were no signs of anyone with this condition there either. The only thing I can possibly think of that is the cause of this is that I live in a building with two families as tenents and we share the basement laudry room.

Avatar n tn The reason I am asking is because yesterday, I accidentally touch a guy with some crusted skin on the hands and arms in the train. Could be crusted scabies, could be other skin defect, but IF its crusted scabies, I was just wondering if I will get the allergic reaction within days or weeks (as I have gotten them before, but more than 10 years ago). And will the quantity of the mites be in hundreds if I got it from a crusted scabies victim?
Avatar f tn Hello, These itchy bumps can be due to lichenoid dermatitis or scabies. Scabies is an infestation of the skin with the Sarcoptes scabiei mite. It is characterized by intense itching, usually at night and by small insect-type bites lesions on the skin. Diagnosis of scabies is made by scraping the skin and viewing the material under a microscope to see the characteristic mite or eggs. I suggest you to consult a dermatologist and get these two possibilities evaluated.
Avatar n tn I then developed problems in my scalp and then it started itching the first part of June. I went to the doctor and he thought I may have contracted scabies from someone and gave me an antiobiotc in case of staph infection and the lotion to use twice. I have used it 2 weeks ago. The rashes/breakout went away but it is now back - mainly on my upper chest area. My question is: was it really scabies and I contracted it again? OR is it something else? Thanks for any help!

Avatar m tn I think that I might have scabies, when to walk in clinic and they prescribed lindane, which I used but did not work, used cream 5% peritrin, did not work, I'm thinking maybe not scabies ??? Now I get these tracks on my forearms and legs that resemble welts that range from 2 inches long to 5 inches long, amd about 1/16" wide, they are red in appearance, and raised, they also itch and burn, what could it be ?
Avatar m tn Permethrin does not cause itchy skin after its topical application but may cause slight skin irritation and rashes of scabies do not usually spread when the topical treatment of permethrin has been initiated. Hope that this information helps and hope that you get better soon. Wishing you good health.

Avatar f tn s mostly my head that is itchy but so is my body. I have no hives or rashes or scaly skin. Dermatologist gave me a medicated shampoo and said it could be dermatitis. It doesn't help at all. Already went through 2 bottles of it. I am beside myself. Can I have something wrong with me internally? Can stress cause this itching? I take benedry, but it doesn't help. I have cortizone cream but doesn't help. Don't know what to do. Any answers out there???
Avatar m tn It took about a month for the scabies to go away. Now on some parts of my body where scabies rashes were i have brown marks. On my waist i have dark brown marks about 2-3 mm and there are 2-3 of them. I also had it underarms and on my shoulders where i still have marks for scabies. I am worried that these might stay forever. How can i make these marks go away. I can post pictures if you want. Thanks!
Avatar n tn Most common areas are arms, legs, knees and front of neck also sometimes back and stomach, these rashes can appear differently but they mostly come up like a white pimple under the skin and red inflamed skin around the area then develop into scab like sores can then turn purple and the scar for a number of weeks. I have now seen a new doctor and he is convinced it is scabies!!
Avatar m tn I went to my doctor and he told me it could either be scabies or a staph infection of the skin, hard to tell. so he gave me cream to treat scabies, i followed the directions perfectly even putting it on again a week later. i vacuumed my whole apartment and my mattress, and washed everything. these bumps are still here, and they itch extremely bad at night on my thighs.they bleed very easily if i scratch them, and i am not an easy bleeder.

Avatar m tn Hi, This could be a dermatitis, fungal infection or skin disease such as scabies. Are there other signs or symptoms present? Can you elaborate on the rash description? In particular, scabies is a transmissible ectoparasite skin infection characterized by superficial burrows, intense itching, which tends to be worse at night and secondary infection. The mites which cause scabies are not visible with the naked eye but can be seen with a magnifying glass or microscope.
Avatar m tn If it is painful then herpes is an important possibility. Scabies is a contagious skin infection caused by a parasite – the mite, which burrows under the host’s skin and causes intense allergic itching. It is transmitted from objects or beddings, but more with direct skin- to – skin contact. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
