Avatar f tn I had an episode of what i believe was joch itch. Groing rash, kind of itchy and sometimes with a rare odor. Had this kind of rashes in my groin a few times in my life. I remeber in the past having episodes in which took me a while to get rid of it. I for a long while it never reappeared. The thing is that a few months ago after having what i believe was protected intercourse with soneone of unknown status, got the rash i describe at the top of my post.

Avatar f tn 5 weeks ago I noticed some itching right in the crease of my groin where my thigh connects to my scrotum, basically out of the way of skin-skin contact during sexual activity. The itching was pretty intermittent (itched for about 20 mins or so every 6-8 hours, roughly), and I basically just vigorously scratched the area when it itched for a good week before I realized that maybe scratching it was making it worse. The scratching/rubbing of the area seemed to make it itch more, so I stopped.
Avatar f tn My daughter turned 15 and was immediately met with acne on her face and back that progressively got worse. We started treating it with homeopathic remedies. That seemed to keep it in check but didn't heal it. The acne was severe and we learned it had a name - cystic acne. The medical options had adverse side affects - so just continued the cleaning and supplement regimen to keep it under control. Two years later she was 17, she had her first boil in her groin area.
Avatar n tn For a couple of months I have been noticing acne like bumps in my groin area (not on the penis). I thought at first they were due to ingrown hairs, as I shave this area. They pop as a pimple would and have a white substance inside as a pimple does. They come and go in different places in the groin area. I do not have any acne breakouts on any other part of my body. My doc said that it looks like a skin irritation to him.
Avatar n tn Whenever I sweat, my groin itch a lot. Apart from having multiple sebaceous cysts, there is no other rashes and the skin color looks absolutely normal. I don't keep pubic hair to keep the area clean. If I use anti fungal powders, the itching decreases. I have visited doctors multiple times, but the medicines- FLuconazole and Miconazole based creams and tablets have not given me any relief. I tried Betnovet-M, but it gives relief for a very short period.

Avatar n tn I have not experienced similar pain in groin area before and there is no blister or rashes. My penis is black in color due to infection and the part where I experience pain, the skin has lines like a farmer's plough field and there is no growth of any hair in this part I suspect any infection in urinary tract or caused by fungus .
Avatar m tn Hi. I first noticed a reddish rash in my groin area ( the crease of inner thighs to the sides of my scrotom years back. Since then, I have had similar reddish rashes infrequently on either my left inner thigh or right, or both. it happens once in a while. I also noticed the rash usually doesnt last more then a week.
Avatar n tn I have been noticing some red rashes around my gential area for the past few weeks now. These rashes itches once in a while. I have just recently been dignoised for a urinary intraction or something like that. But the point is, these rashes is spreading around the belt area and I'm very concern if it's some kind of STD. I have some speculations that it can't be some kind of STD because I haven't had any sexual intercouse with anyone yet.
Avatar n tn Two days ago I noticed a few blisters on my bikini/ groin area. They appeared to be filled with a clear fluid. The next day I had multiple blister like areas up and down my groin on both sides. They turned from clear fliud filled to white pustules. I dont have any pain or irritation at the site, only when my underwear rubbs the area. My Gyn said it is not herpes of any sort but does not know what it is. Can any one tell me what this could be?
Avatar n tn About 2 years ago, after a long day of walking, the skin around my groin in the folds broke out in super-itchy, inflamed red rashes. I used OTC hydrocortisone cream, and the problem subsided significantly. However, ever since, I've had a permenant rash running up the exact middle of my skin folds where the leg meets the groin area - probably about 5 inches long right in the middle of the leg crease.
Avatar m tn I have been experiencing a rash in my groin area, which began inbetween the folds of skin and has spread down my thighs, throughout my waistline, and even to my armpits. It has not spread to my genitals. My PCP diagnosed as a fungal infection, and prescribed a 30 day regiment of Grifulvin V (oral, began taking 2 days ago) and to apply Lotrimin A/C topically twice daily. I had been applying Lamisil A/T for a week prior, with no improvement.
Avatar n tn In particular, Tinea cruris or ringworm of the groin, is an infection of the groin area caused by fungus. This usually presents with itching and red, raised, scaly patches that may blister and ooze. Direct examination and a culture or skin scraping of the skin may be done for definite diagnosis. It is important to keep the area clean and dry. Over-the-counter antifungal or drying powders may also help.
Avatar n tn such as the underarms, groin and buttocks esp in women. Apply warm compresses on the lumps and keep the area clean. Topical antiseptic treatment and topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment is very useful. If still the lumps persist then specific treatment like antibiotics, vit A supplements, corticosteroid injections, isotretinoin, antiandrogens and sometimes excision and drainage ,laser therapy and radiotherapy are found useful.

Avatar m tn Hi all I suffer from sweat rashes around my groin, and I’m trying to identify which kinds, as I believe I’m suffering from 3 different types... The first and most long standing is on my perineum, this never goes or appears to get worse, it’s just a redness, it doesn’t itch and isn’t really a problem other than its unsightly. It doesn’t have a particularly defined edge, no bumps, no spots, just a red patch like I’ve been chaffed, which I’ve not!
Avatar n tn I keep getting rashes-Everytime I get one i FREAK! But sooooooooooooooo many things cause rashes! I often wonder on the same question-What does an HIV rash look like but one rash is typically no different to another. I have read the same thing that HIV rashes have pimples present (which unfortunatly I of course have!!!
Avatar m tn Vanos and other highly potent topical corticosteroids can cause the skin to thin. In the armpit and groin area the skin is already thin, more thinning leads to the skin cracking and possible scarring. Ask the doctor about low potency topical corticosteroids, such as Desonide, for those areas.
Avatar m tn So are your other symptoms, such as the pimple of the scrotal skin. The most common causes of crural fold rashes are irritation from skin moisture, superficial bacterial infections, yeast, and non-yeast fungal infections of the sort that also cause athletes foot and jock itch. All these are more common in overweight persons, in whom the crural fold may be continually moist from sweat -- but certainly can also occur in slim individuals. A number of other conditions also are possible.
Avatar m tn About four weeks ago after horseback riding I noticed a small abbraision about 3/8 inch in diameter in the fold of my skin on the left side of my groin. I started applying corn starch powder daily to help keep the area dry. The abbraision didn't heal and actually expanded. Additionally, I started to break out with bumps in the fold of my groin above and below the original abbraision. The bumps start out as hard white or red bumps.
Avatar m tn It is located where the skin of the thigh and the pubic area touch, but is on the thigh area only, just at the edge of the line separating the two. Pubic side is clear. One would think that since those areas touch constantly it would have spread there, which it has not. Would not have noticed it if I had not happened to have seen it. The red dot in the center made me think of a bug bite, but the lack of swelling or itch did not seem to go along with that idea.
