m hoping someone out there who has experience with this problem or have any ideas what is going on. I have this skin problem for 7 days and it appears only at this area which is the left side of my abdomen. This happened to me on the same day when I have GERD. Is it normal to have this skin rashes after GERD or this could be Shingles? Please help.
Some autoimmune diseases affecting skin like lupus or scleroderma and thyrid disorders affecting skin can also cause similar skin appearance. Also large breasts with uneven fat distribution can cause dimpling affect.

Not so much on the surface. There is a slight raise in the affected area and she says it itches and her skin gets kind of "crepey" feeling as well. Has anybody heard of this rash, experienced it or have any suggestions as to what she could use to give her some comfort? We are brand new to all of this and any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Itching could be a symptom of dry skin, irritation, an allergy, and plenty of other problems including ecxema and fungal infection that aren't dangerous but should be treated with proper medication..
For the time being,you could apply calamine lotion over the itchy area, until you see the doctor.

I have had this soft moveable pea sized bump for over a month now..when it first surfaced it was very red and painful ..I squeezed it and puss came out and a little blood..i s still there..no pain just a little sore when squeezed..now I just noticed a rash around the bump may have shrank a little..and now has two purplish/black dots in it...please give me some ideas as to what it could be ..I am fearing the worst..and cannot afford to see a Dr. thankyou!!!
I know with some skin cancers it takes years to diagnose and a friend of ours who has skin cancer had seen my spots when I had about 10 of them and told me they were exactly as I describe them and as they look and it took hers about 12 years for the diagnosis. :((( Please help, I would like to know if one can develop Pityriasis Rosea two months after the first episode?

The rash may be accompanied by low-grade headache, fever, nausea and fatigue and itching. Topical and oral steroids are needed. Water, sweat, and soap may cause irritation and should be avoided in the disease. Topical zinc oxide and calamine lotion are useful for pruritus.
A dermatologist’s evaluation will be the best.

I think it is the drugs detoxing out of our system and it just comes out of the skin. It got worse before it got better. Sunlight helps, filtered water (shower heads) and staying away from anything with artifical scents, lotions, soaps, detergents, ect. Also watch for skin infections. If it is really red, sore and inflammed. The night time insane itching was relieved by taking benadryl. it makes you very, very drowsy the next day.

I have been getting skin rashes from my early childhood. These Rashes tend to come mostly during the Summer months of the year. They usually seem like a mosquito bite. They first occurs behind the ear, then around the neck, head scalp and spread to the back. Finally i get them even in my face. They are very itchy . They usually seem to have a cycle like 24 hours. They start by afternoon and get intense by evening and disappear while i sleep. The body gets heated up so much during that time.
hi..... I have odd type skin rashes or swelling..... I live in cold county(canada). I get rashes only in the hands(from fingers to wrist only) that too only if go out only. Inside the house,I'm pretty normal. but once I go out(where the temperature will be in minus) I get rashes only in hands which is not covered, rest of my body will be covered with jackets and winter shoes. so which made me to think. whether this rash is because of the climatic change (this sounds really weird).

Dear BAilli: Skin on the breast is like skin anywhere else on the body and is subject to a variety of abnormalities, including pimples or other rashes. Spots on the areaola is not a common presentation for breast cancer. Further, breast cancer in a 16 year old is extraordinarily rare. You might want to show these to your mother and if these spots do not go away, you should have your doctor check them out.
Hi, not sure about meds and rashes. But rashes are associated with a variety of auto-immune diseases. And due to the fact that thyroid conditions are also often due to an auto-immune disease process which attacks the thyroid, people with thyroid disease are also at risk of other auto-immune conditions. I would ask your doc if the rash could be related to one.
