588336 tn?1218604474 For a few months now I have had this strange rash on my left ring finger that consists of small fluid filled bumps. I have tried a spray called "Bactine" in case it might be poison ivy/oak, but to no avail. While the rash was weeping I tried to kill any bacteria with hydrogen peroxide, but again, to no avail. The last thing I tried was soaking the rash with rubbing alcohol hoping it would kill the rash, but still no good results.
Avatar n tn i have an oval red ring shaped rash that comes and goes. i can not find a trigger it's usually in the morning. i have also started having night sweats.
Avatar n tn Pityriasis rosea is a common human skin disease which presents as numerous patches of pink or red oval rash. The rash may be accompanied by low-grade headache, fever, nausea and fatigue and sometimes by itching. No treatment is usually required. In most patients, the condition lasts only a matter of weeks or months(upto six months) If the rash persists then it will be best to get it evaluated from a dermatologist. Eczema has to be ruled out then. Hope it helps.
Avatar n tn or a rash caused by you being allergic to something that comes in contact with your skin (derma). Since the rash is not constant, it could be caused by a ring you sometimes wear on that finger? Do you grasp something with that hand that has a metal buckle?? Could be as simple as your key ring. If so, you could be allergic to nickel (a metal alloy that is often included in costume jewelry and can be found anywhere there is metal).
Avatar m tn It presents as numerous patches of pink or red oval rash. The rash may be accompanied by low-grade headache, fever, nausea and fatigue and itching. Topical and oral steroids are needed. Water, sweat, and soap may cause irritation and should be avoided in the disease. Topical zinc oxide and calamine lotion are useful for pruritus. I would suggest you to consult a dermatologist and get this possibility evaluated as without examination confirmation of a diagnosis is tough.
Avatar m tn Hello, I have small itchy bumps on the side of my ring finger and in the web part of my fingers between the ring finger and pinky. I also have some on my stomach, arms, and buttocks. My chest is starting to itch too. They seem to be spreding. It's been about 2 weeks now and have an appointment with my dermatologist but not till next week, I don't think I can wait that long. I found some photos online and wondering if it could be scabies? I have a photo if you would like to see.
Avatar n tn I was wearing a ring for over a month and then under the ring started to get red and my skin started cracking. Its been irriatating and itching a lot. I have been using some cream, but it hasn't seemed to work. I was wondering what this rash could be.

Avatar n tn My wedding band is made of 14 karat white gold. I have an allergic reaction to it when I wear it on my left ring finger after wearing it for as little as 10 minutes. I get little white bumps that itch and burn and I get a rash. I haven't worn the ring on that finger in about 2 months but I can still see remnants of a rash. The strange part is that I have been wearing the same ring on my right hand ring finger and I get no rash. What is this??
Avatar n tn I would take them off, clean them good, put triple antibiotic on my finger until it seemed to heal, then put the rings back on and the same thing would happen (a reddish rash under where the rings touched my skin). I have a ring on my right hand that this did not happen with, and I noticed that the rash was confined to the area where the diamonds were (so bacteria could have accumulated there due to moisture and caused a form of athletes foot).

Avatar n tn I have a ring of itchy bumps around my groin area and the skin on the inside of the perimeter on both sides of my groin have a brownish or darker discoloration, only the ring if bumps and sores have a definite itch. Also the discolored skin often changed from dry skin top a smooth to the touch skin.the ring also seems to be expanding outward onto my thighs and waking it hasn't helped. Was wondering what this might be, any answers?
Avatar m tn They are the same bumps, but the elbow bumps are the only ones that form a distinct ring. I have looked at pictures of other skin diseases and found nothing similar (including tapeworm). When it first developed it was extremely itchy but now (2 months later) it is not itchy at all. I have not noticed any other rashanywhere else, nor have I seen any more spreading since the inital move from bicep to elbow. Both locations still have the rash...

Avatar n tn I have a rash on my left hand ring finger that has been there since Thanksgiving 2008. It is not caused by my wedding ring as I haven't worn it since Thanksgiving 2008 when the rash first showed up. The rash started off with one or two small, pimpley bumps that were itchy. Then it dried out really badly, making my skin peel and crack. The pimpley bumps came back and spread down to the base between the two fingers (ring and pinky), and spread up to the middle knuckle.
Avatar n tn I have normal bite marks that over a period of days turn into larger rings (not all of the same size) They tend to be red and raised on the outer ring and small white bumps on the inside of the ring. I have had them on my arms, face, lower back and buttocks. It has been about 3 months now and the doctor gave me daktacourt which is a fungal cream but it takes 2 weeks to get them to fade a bit slightly and then more appear else where. I was told it could be ring worm but im not so sure now......?
1523918 tn?1291351156 sounds like you were either cleaning with something that got under your ring and irritated your skin under there... thats happened to me when i cleaned with bleach... just keep the ring off for now make sure you clean it before putting it back on... and just watch your hand to make sure you didnt touch or get into something your allergic to! hope this helps!
Avatar m tn About November 2011 i noticed what i thought was ring worm right outside of right shoulder. Then i noticed a rash like large red ring right below under my underarms, both upper thighs with little red rashes, behind both thighs and both inner elbows and behind knees. Some area rather large ring most times no itchy feeling. went to Dermatology Dr and he tried corizone shot, then meds then cream. Dr. did a biopsy it came back as Grandoloma Annulare. Still till this day I still have it.
