Skin rash near eye

Common Questions and Answers about Skin rash near eye

1148619 tn?1332014584 I am on Restasis for eye irritation and some others on this forum are also on other types of eye drops. Also, I would avoid putting hydrocortizone cream anywhere near the eyes or eyelids. That is one of the warnings on the hydrocortizone cream box: "Avoid contact with eyes." I am sure you did not put it in your eyes but cream has a way of migrating to nearby sites and the cream you put on your eyelids could get into your eyes.
Avatar f tn I developed a small rash around my left eye it started with a few little red bumps that looked like pimples but they definitely weren't. It then spread from under my eye to the outside corner, they never go near the inner corner of my eye though. They are starting to become painful and nothing helps. It will slowly!!! go away if I do not apply any makeup or moisturizer on it but they have never completely gone away.
Avatar n tn I agree for my body it really didn't matter what brand I used but for my face, the only thing I could use was a Hydocortizone from a dermatalogist (the skin around my left eye and left side of my nose was always dry, flaking and very red) during the last four months of tx. Anything else on my face would burn. Don't forget lots and lots of water. Good luck. I hope you find something that works for you.
Avatar f tn I thought the rash was getting better Tues afternoon and I was happy and relieved, but Wed morning when I woke the rash had worsened again and my skin was burning! I took myself to hosp and they told me to increase the steroid tablet to 8 for the next 2 days and if no better, then to go back to my own doctor. It is now Friday afternoon here and I have made a further app at my doctors as rash is still there and moving to different places and I am also bruising!!!
Avatar m tn Hi I'm new here. Around 4 weeks ago I started to get white patches near my eye on my cheek and the GP said it was pityriasis alba/tinea versicolor. Now, that's gone slightly better but I've started to get this rash near my mouth on the bottom half of my cheek. They are of similar colour to my skin and look slightly elevated. They show when I wake up (as I haven't put cream on), when my face is dry and in sunlight it shows a lot.
Avatar n tn A friend of mine in med school did the glass test (press the glass against the skin) and said it was not clotting/bleeding inside the skin. I looked up everything like pleva and that antiphospholipid syndrome but not sure if I had those. Now I can't go back to my derm as he says I need to see the rhematologist for antiphospholipid syndrome evaluation ( and I he also stated that there was no other things I could do more).
Avatar n tn Any contact with the area feels exactly as if I'm touching raw tender skin (probably less painful) and the discomfort seems to be just skin-deep. There is never a rash or injury of any kind, and I can't trace it to any kind of lifestyle thing, activity, detergent, etc. It's been going on for years, never lasts more than a few days, and is never more than mildly annoying.
Avatar n tn It spread to legs, neck, and wrists and chest. I also have had eye problems, constant watering, itching and red swelling. I went to the doctor and she said scabies. Both me and my partner were treated with permitrin(?) cream. She washed everthhing in the house... scrubbed and cleaned. It got better for about a week and then came back. The second trip to the dr, and I was put on the oral medicene for scabies. Mind you, my parter has never broken out.

Avatar f tn I've been on Doxycycline for almost 6 weeks now and I did feel a little bit better for a while. However, I still have a couple of symptoms left -- one is this burning pain on my skin. I actually feel it on my tongue sometimes, too. It moves around; hard to explain but it feels almost like a freezer burn would feel. It comes & goes in intensity, and it moves around, but mostly affects my forearms and lower legs. It has not gotten any better since on treatment.
Avatar m tn i also developed very small pumps hard to see unless with powerful light, and i can feel crusty feeling or accumulated pimples that form like a circle in that area and scattered ones on the foreskin near the testicles i could say something like a skin rash, i can see these very tiny bumps when take a picture with flash. ....
Avatar f tn I had my thyroid removed 2 years ago because of cancer. I am experiencing dry skin all over and I get an itchy burning sensation around my nose. As trival as this sounds after what I've dealt with for the last two years, the itchy burning around my nose gets very uncomfortable, it drives me nuts to be blunt. This has been going on for about 3 months. I was wondering if this was a problem with my Synthoid or simply menopause.
Avatar n tn I will say that as I removed the tick I did not do it the correct way, because I thought it was a flap of skin and just pulled it off of me! For all I know I squeezed the **** and shot some stomach contents into my system. But I would not expect the IgG antibodies to be the only reactive result just 30 days after THAT particular incident. As to mosquitoes, etc, sounds theoretically possible.
287900 tn?1218647818 Interferon is used for some skin skin conditions, so it's not surprising to me. I had a tag disappear during tx but it had more to do with the derm shaving it off (using a scalpel) than the ifn.
Avatar f tn I would see the doctor ASAP, while the rash is still there. It looks like an EM rash to me. If your doctor feels it is lyme early treatment is the best chance for a full recovery.
Avatar n tn slightly raised red skin patch, with cracked/flaky skin. It was more itchy behind the ear than on the eye lids. i have added a photo of the rash on my eye lid.
Avatar n tn I've also noticed large brown patches of skin on my shoulders/back and on my forearms near the crease of my elbow, those rashes seem to ache a bit also. The rash seems to be worse early in the morning and late at night, skin feels tight and raw like a sunburn, especially on my back after showering. Also, the skin around my eyes (under the eyelashes and outer edges of eye sockets) is brown/red. I've been tested for syphillis (negative) and HIV (neg. at 6.
Avatar f tn The area of the skin that is affected by the rash or skin lesions caused by shingles can remain sensitive for several days, even after the rash and lesions have disappeared. The virus can lay dormant in the human body and can get reactivated when the immune system is weakened due to some other health condition(s). Tactile defensiveness is a neurological disorder that is caused by a neurological defect in the midbrain, which is concerned with evaluating and filtering different types of stimuli.
Avatar n tn I have similar sounding problem. Very itchy and dry looking skin round the eye area, including the bridge of my nose. One eye is worse than the other. I have tried vaseline, aloe vera gel, even steroid cream which the doc prescribed after diagnosing blepharitis. I don't think it's blepharitis as a lot of the symptoms don't match, eg I don't have crusty or sticky eyes in the morning any more than is normal. Have trawled the net and can't find anything other than an allergic problem.
Avatar m tn - I got this weird rash spreading acorss my left shoulder *it's starting to get bigger around my shoulder muscle and also traveling to my lower back *It's not itchy, no pus, no pain *it's bumpy (kind of like minor goosebumps) *It's just alittle red (you technically have to feel it or look closely at my skin to notice that there is indeed something occurring there) *this rash starting on my upper bicep and I stupidly picked at it, which left t
Avatar m tn Can the HIV early symptom rash persist for more than 4 weeks? becasue i am having this rash for almost 4 weeks now. 3. Can eye itching (with small amount of tears) and evening slight headache be a early symptom of HIV?
Avatar n tn I have had this rash on my side of face near eye and cheek ever since I've had my son. It comes and goes at first I thought it might be an allergic reaction but it randomly shows up. It feels hot and burns a little I have also been very tired as of lately and had dizzy spells that have been increasing in frequency. I haven't been to the doctors yet but does anyone have thoughts as to what it might be?
Avatar n tn Recently i have had strange red/white bumps all over face exluding the nose...its recently moving up near my eye///my dermatologist has given me locoid lipocream .01%,,xyzal,and hydroxyzine 10mg at night....nothing seems to be helping..last week the derm gave me prednisone-3doses only for the weekend because i was coming out in a face cleared up only to rebound on monday night? i cant think of any thing i recently ingested or cosmetics/hair products that i have used...
Avatar n tn it started on the backs of her hands and seems to have spread to one of her cheeks and also near her eye (where she usually rubs with her hand when she is tired). i am just wondering if this is something i should be concerned about and if it will go away on its own or continue to spread.
Avatar n tn The strange thing is, when my lips flare up, I will also get a small rash near my left eye and a larger rash behind my left ear. Sometimes the rash continues from my ear down to my neck. It always recurs on the left side of my face in the same spots and at the same time that my lips flare up. The right side of my face is always problem-free. I'm questioning the herpes diagnosis because of the rash I get near my eye and behind my ear.
Avatar n tn I was just wondering if you've seen a doctor yet about your Bulls eye rash. I scanned the forums and I am experiencing the same thing. My rash has faded but not completely gone. was it in fact Lyme desease that you had?
