Avatar f tn I have developed a sudden skin rash on feet and legs below the knees. It is a round white spot with a red dot in the center. It does not itch. I am taking coumadin and plavix. Is this a sign of bleeding under the skin? I have also started having red marks, some size of dots and some larger and brown "age spots" on my skin. Anyone have similar condition? I was told to stay away from vitamin K because this effects the coumadin and my pro time.

Avatar m tn Do you take any medications that can cause a rash as a side-effect? Do you take any medication just when you have GERD symptoms? I'm looking for a correlation - match up in time to your rash. Rash is usually a symptom of some external contact with an irritant or a reaction to something we ingest. Your English works fine coming this way, hope my return is understandable. Hope too you get something more specific and useful.

Avatar n tn Has anyone taken a Class "C" drug while pregnant? I've been prescribed a low dose steroid creme to help clear up a very itchy, bothersome rash I've had for weeks. So far, I haven't had the courage to use it, but the rash isn't improving on its own, so I'm really torn. Thoughts? Thanks!
Avatar n tn Pityriasis rosea is a common human skin disease which presents as numerous patches of pink or red oval rash. The rash may be accompanied by low-grade headache, fever, nausea and fatigue and sometimes by itching. No treatment is usually required. In most patients, the condition lasts only a matter of weeks or months(upto six months) If the rash persists then it will be best to get it evaluated from a dermatologist.Other possibilities have to be ruled out then. Hope it helps.
Avatar n tn If you are talking about the skin condition that can result from a person's having cirrhosis, no, it cannot be transmitted to others.
735919 tn?1236444549 The Geodon did not seem to help me so I was taken off of it. Be careful, with the Lamital because of a rash that can develop rarely which I was told by my psych that it could be deadly. I developed this rash and was immediately taken off the Lamital.
Avatar n tn Hi, This could be a fungal infection or Contact dermatitis which is being caused by the chafing action of the sanitary towel against skin folds.Contact dermatitis is an inflammation of the skin caused by direct contact with an irritating or allergy-causing substance (irritant or allergen). Irritant dermatitis, the most common type of contact dermatitis, involves inflammation resulting from contact. In some cases, the best treatment is to do nothing to the area.
Avatar f tn I'm 25+5 and my skin is itchy all over. I've read it van be normal but I've also read it can be ICP I guess its a liver condition and it usually starts around the 25th week. I wouldn't be paranoid but read it can cause still birth. Should I assume I the small percentage that can all of a sudden develop this ? I've had two normal pregnancies before no complications and this is my third.
Avatar f tn Itchy skin is normal, however if the palms of hands and soles of feet are itchy or have a rash it could be Obstetric Cholistasis. Which is treated usually with medication and Vit K. Its due to the pregnancy. Call your doctor and have him check it out. No reason for alarm.
Avatar m tn For 5 months, I've had a red colored skin rash. I've applied different skin cream prescriptions from various practicianers. First, I applied NYSTATIN from a urologist who diagnosed it as Candidiasis. A dermatologist had a different diagnosis and prescribed hydrocortisone acetate 2.5% proxamine cream. An internist and other urologist prescribed econazole nitrate antifungal creme (one was 1% strength, the other 2% strength).
Avatar n tn my 3yr daughter has suddenly developed a skin rash about 2 days back which look like mosquito bites. It actually starts of like a red patch, which gradually develop onto a slightly elevated bump ! this rash usualy subsides after about an hour and then might appear on another part of her body after some time.the rashes are multiple. after that she's fine ! then after she wakes up from sleep the same process is repeated. The rashes are usually on her back, buttocks and thighs.
Avatar f tn If no then I would treat this like a rash or skin irritation. Make sure the area is cleaned gently and dry. You may try skin ointment with Cortisone that is designed for sensitive skin maybe something from the baby aisle. Per WebMD. This medication is used to treat a variety of skin conditions (e.g., insect bites, poison oak/ivy, eczema, dermatitis, allergies, rash, itching of the outer female genitals, anal itching).
603015 tn?1329862973 thanks for the concern, I have come off the medication and the rash is nearly all gone, mine to started at my feet and made its way up my body, I went to ER and they said it was luckily in the early stages so I didnt have the skin peeling, just starting to blister. Im feeling ok so I dont think coming off the meds has had an effect on my mood, I feel positive at the moment so I will just wait for my own doc, I am also on epilim so its not like I am off all meds.

Avatar n tn My daughter has recently spent three weeks in South Africa, working in a medical capacity.  During the last few days there she began to develop a terrible rash.  It is on her trunk, legs, arms and on her face. Three dermatologists don't know what it is.  She is presently taking a strong antihistamine which helps the itch of the bumps which are already present.  When they have not erupted, they are extremely itchy regardless of medication.
