Avatar f tn Every now and then I have terrible burning skin. I feel it from pressure rather than just touching the skin. so it feels like burning when I slide onto the seat in the car and these days I can feel it just from being in bed. any ideas? I am slim, have thyroid disease, rheumatoid arthritis but this seems to fit into some other bracket that no doctor knows of. thanks for any ideas.
Avatar n tn I had a rash on my chest a few days and yesterday when I woke up the rash was gone but the area it was completely dried out. Later on that day the skin started cracking and there was an intense burning sensation. This morning I bought some Neosporin and have been applying it to the area. The burning goes away for awhile but returns in about two hours after I use it. The label says to only use it 1-3 times today and I just used it for the third time.
Avatar f tn ve been on Doxycycline for almost 6 weeks now and I did feel a little bit better for a while. However, I still have a couple of symptoms left -- one is this burning pain on my skin. I actually feel it on my tongue sometimes, too. It moves around; hard to explain but it feels almost like a freezer burn would feel. It comes & goes in intensity, and it moves around, but mostly affects my forearms and lower legs. It has not gotten any better since on treatment.
Avatar n tn I have a burning irritating continuous sensation on my right side rib below my right boob into my back. I have no rash, its become pain and the burning feeling is constant... Please can you suggest what could be wrong, i have had this for a week and its uncomfortable to wear a bra.
Avatar f tn About a year and half ago I developed a red itching, burning rash on the back of my neck. It cleared up after a few months of hydrocort cream. Now the last 9 months I have gotten this rash on my face, underder my breast, belly and sides and on my buttocks. It itches really bad, it also burns and I get these little white puscules that ooze until it dries up. Now I have been to see my PCP and dermatologist and I get a different answer from both of them.
Avatar m tn Hi I have been having for about six days a tingly itching burning almost sensation on my legs whenever I leave my room. Once I leave my room and air hits my body I start getting this itching tingly burning feeling that is so horrible I just start itching or doing my best to rub my legs. I do not know if it is from the cold weather here in England I am study abroad student who is studying here for the semester or if it is from when I shaved a few weeks ago.
Avatar n tn Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin. You can take some OTC oral antihistamine medications like Benadryl or Claritin and see if it helps. For mild-moderate itching a weak steroid may be used (e.g. hydrocortisone as dermacort), whilst more severe cases require a higher-potency steroid (e.g. clobetasol propionate, fluocinonide). Also use good quality moisturizers to prevent moisture loss from the skin.
Avatar n tn s some sort of std although I have no bumps of any kind, no burning during urination or anything, just this very red burning rash around my anus (doesn't go out to the cheeks) and my genitals were red yesterday...not nearly as red today.
Avatar f tn The first sign is usually a tingling feeling, itchiness, or stabbing pain on the skin. After a few days, a rash appears as a band or patch of raised dots on the side of the trunk or face. The rash develops into small, fluid-filled blisters which begin to dry out and crust over within several days. When the rash is at its peak, symptoms can range from mild itching to extreme and intense pain. My advice would be to consult a dermatologist. I hope it helps.
Avatar n tn drying or cracking of the skin, itching, burning or changes in skin color. (http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/druginfo/medmaster/a601124.html) Showering or bathing daily, keeping the groin area dry, using powder around the groin area to prevent excess moisture, avoiding tight fitting clothes and changing underwear at least once a day may help. If the condition persists, it is best to see your doctor for further evaluation and management. Take care and keep us posted.
Avatar n tn Hi You have described this to be a rash with an associated burning sensation. This sounds like an infection. A fungal infection or an STD may be differentials here. You may apply antifungal cream in the area and observe if this resolves in two days time. If it does not respond, applying topical antibiotics may help eg mupirocin. Wash the area with a mild cleanser and keep the area clean and dry as much as possible.
Avatar m tn I have had burning skin, in several places, all over my body. It feels like I've been badly burned. it gets worse as the day progresses. I have tried topical treatments, but the pain is on the inside, therefore topicals have no effect. I have been to specialists, had several blood tests, now my doctor is starting to experiment on me with the popular drugs for fibromyalgia. Gabbapentin, Lyrica, etc.
Avatar n tn I have had a burning sensation on my left outer thigh for between 2 - 3 months, similar to sunburn pain. It appears to slowly be getting worse. No rash or visible skin irritation. I have to the best of my knowledge never had chicken pox. Pain is normally mild though persistent and occasionally gets severe for maybe 15-20 minutes Area of pain has not changed or moved and has always stayed on surface without any deep pain.
Avatar m tn In the crease and wrapping around a little under my scrotum my skin is sensitive and at times burns a bit. There is not any noticeable bumps, cuts and hardly any redness if any. I am trying to figure out if its heat rash, jock itch, or std related. I am a man and had protected anal sex 6 weeks ago with no other symptoms. He claimed he was clean. At 5 wks I took an IGG HSV2 test and it was Negative. Any advice?
Avatar n tn i have a burning/ skin of fire feeling in my lower back region.....i have low Vit D, high liver function. i have been having diarrea also, and when i do it feels worse... ANYING even clothing hurts...and it is where all my pants sit....
Avatar n tn The pathological reaction that takes place on your skin due to foreign particles is considered as allergy rash. This allergy rash can be identified with these characteristics: Ugly reddish patches on the skin with itchiness and redness or itchy and swollen red bumps or patches all over the body.
Avatar m tn anyway, as i was saying, the red rash and burning falls directly into a yeast infection type of skin condition (so far as i can tell, based on internet research), and the second dermatologist agreed with as much that it was very likely a yeast-induced infection. there aren't really any other conditions that seem to fit my symptoms. but everything i've read indicates that yeast infections - while they may be chronic - are easy enough to get rid of.
Avatar n tn I suggest you set up an appointment with a skin specialist and that you do the best you can to photograph the rash and the bumps in case they aren't too visible when you go. meantime, keep as cool as your lifestyle permits. Best. Dr.
