Avatar n tn not like my leg is assleep or pins and netles. just numb. kinda like i put numbing cream there or something...its been two days so im a litle freaked out...im 27. is this normal? or will it go away?
Avatar f tn While I was there (about 5 days in) my skin on my legs started feeling numb ( like as if someone put numbing cream all over my legs) now that numbing sensation has gone all the way to my chest and going down my shoulders. It has not gone to my back though its all in the front part of me. Even my private area is completely numb and it is affecting my urine out put and bowel movements. If I sit or lay down I then get a tingling sensation with it. My legs and arms are also weak.
Avatar m tn Also don't forget that whatever you use for numbing, you'll still need to clean the skin with alcohol before injecting. There are lots of sunburn sprays that numb.
Avatar f tn I would describe my experienced as more of a numbing than a skin rash. I had no peeling but noticed it, primarily on the hand I used to hold the zucchini while peeling it and secondarily on the hand I used to hold the veggie while shredding it. My skin was shiny from the veggie residue and truly felt as though I had used some sort of analgesic on my skin. I first noticed that my fingertips were desensitized to touch.
Avatar n tn I cleaned the area thoroughly and tied a piece of dental floss around the base of the skin tag to cut off circulation. Then I rubbed Anbesol, the only numbing medicine I could find, and cut it off quickly with sanitized scissors. I immediately put on lots of antibiotic cream and applied pressure for probably 45 minutes until I knew for sure it was done bleeding. I have been real careful for the past 24 hours to apply antibiotic every time I go to the bathroom.
Avatar n tn A few weeks ago I saw a conversation here about what people use for numbing the skin at the shot area. Some used ice and various other methods. Has anyone thought of using EMLA? It's a prescription cream with a combination of lidocaine and prilocaine. You simply apply the cream to the small area that you want numbed and cover it with plastic wrap an hour before you would give the shot.
Avatar n tn He said the steroid cream would soften the skin. Is there anything else I can do to speed this up? I am so confused and feel like I'm never going to heal. I'm using vaseline every day but I don't know if that's helping. Should I let it dry out? Does it need to be kept moist? Is there some sort of over the counter product that will help these hard bumps to just cool down and shrink? HELP PLEASE!
Avatar n tn I have actually gone for about two months with no itching at all. Now I am awake at 4:30am with such intense burning itch just under my skin. I cannot itch it better, but this is what my skin screams for. I feel like I could take a knife and cut off the top of my skin so that I can get to the actual itch. I wonder if it is stress related in any way. I don't have any "known" stresses at this moment, but maybe there is something.
Avatar n tn Its a hard pea-sized bump under my skin, and can be pushed around a bit. I was thinking it was a cyst, but is it normal for it to develop within 8 hours? I normally have a bit of vaginal discharge, but it seems to have increased the past few days. Any ideas for what it might be? I don't think it is an STD because i havent seen my boyfriend since the summer... so haven't had sex since then ( he has been my only partner).
Avatar m tn I posted this info before, but it was a reply to someone else's similar post... I am a 23 year old healthy male. I recently had a full physical and the results were that I am in above average health. I have no diseases, do not use drugs, but drink on occasion. Anyways, just started noticing these strange symptoms, within the past few weeks. Nothing "brought it on" so to speak that I can tell of.
5805973 tn?1374605479 It turns hard if in the air for too long, and has a kind of numbing effect on the skin. Also, makes plasma harden quickly, usually leaving kind of a clear scab. Also, I grew a fingernail like thing out of my upper arm, which went away but is now coming back. Definitely fungal because my hands/feet seem to grow a weird mold when they are on the move.
Avatar m tn Late night yesterday the itching got worse after I took off my clothes, and I've noticed some bumps. After I washed my genital area and applied zinc cream, the bumpy rash disappeared. The skin near my genital area also cracked, but I think the cause was because the underwear I wore was too tight. Yesterday I noticed a dry brown patch near my left tigh in the skinfold of my genital area.
Avatar f tn She had me applying diaper rash cream to the external area to help heal my skin. The affected area had always looked kind of swollen, like the external hemorrhoid was still there, but my doc assured me that this type of swelling was common and would subside. Two weeks post op it still wasn't going away and the surgeon told me they were skin tags and not anything to worry about.
Avatar n tn I have extremely sensetive skin myself and had to resort to baby lotion and shampoos to keep me from overdrying my skin. Many lotions make the skin oily rather than truly moisturize. Cetaphil is a good lotion, but I use Aveeno baby lotion. It seems to do the trick. What soaps do you use? Dial AB or Dove, ?? ?
Avatar n tn Finally I went to a cosmetic dermatology laser clinic, and the doctor is removing them with an Erbium laser. They apply a numbing cream first for an hour, and then he lasers off the lesions. It is not painful, but a little bit uncomfortable. In the first treatment, he removed 100 lesions from my feet. My feet are a mess right now (sore and spotted with scabs) but I hope then when these scabs heal, my skin will be improved.
Avatar f tn Try Vagisil Feminine Cream (generic name: benzocaine topical). It's an over the counter numbing agent that you purchase at your local drug store. If you can't find that ask one of the pharmacist to help you find a local numbing agent and or anaesthetic. Once again best wishes and God bless!
Avatar n tn i have done 8 pro flax laser on my face and i feel that the numbing cream crak my face now i have red lines does e matrix work?
Avatar n tn I have been experiencing a mild irritation inside the tip of my penis, i wanna no if this is an std, if this from the numbing cream in the long lasting condom, having the condom on for too long, or the constant thrusting? what could be the cause for this mild irritation, and how severe could it be?
Avatar f tn I've seen several doctors who say I'm estrogen deficient and to use the cream they prescribe but that doesn't work. Most have given me lanacane (numbing cream) but I'd like my sex life back with my husband as well. I don't have an SDT (e.g. herpes) but tiny little open sores/ulcers that have spread over the last year and penetration is excruciating.

2020005 tn?1476662562 So i had her check it since it looked like it was closing up again, so I started the estrogen cream again. She said to start the cream again, that was good, and I said I'm worried because inside, her labias look red and shes screaming when i wipe her, she said it was fine, probably just a side effect of the cream to iritate it. Well last night it was bright red, and she's used this cream for months without a problem.

Avatar f tn (I found out at the desk from the woman working it that that is a common complaint). Initially the pain was lessened from the numbing cream. However I went to check out and was so light headed that I nearly passed out. I also was in a ton more pain than last time. I had my dr call in pain killers and after they kicked in I was fine. I have much less bruising and swelling which makes me believe that me taking aspirin the first time was the culprit. Im excited to see more reults.
Avatar n tn you may want to ask for a topical numbing cream prior. the nose is a tender area and patients often end up flinching and getting little burns.
Avatar f tn To be extra cautious you should decline any numbing cream prior to your treatment. Laser hair removal works by a process called selective photothermolysis. That means that the laser light is used to heat up and selectively destroy the hair follicles on the skin. Certainly, the light spectrum can be absorbed by the hair follicles and also the skin. So, there's no chance that this can be absorbed into the bloodstream.
Avatar f tn I know it sounds weird but its not that painful and if you're not very good with pain, you can find some that come with numbing cream. I have all types of different scars and nothing has worked as much as this. Ive only done about 4 or 5 treatments and im seeing a huge difference. There are a lot of youtube videos that talk about it so you can do a little more research. A few other things are vitamin E oil, silicone strips, bio oil, and a few things you can use at home like lemon.
