infection

Avatar f tn If I did get a bacteria infection from the sexual encounter would the antibiotics get rid of the infection since I had 7 more days to go using the antibiotics..?
Avatar f tn That stuff can get backed up and fester. Bacteria then can grow and wa la, ear infection is the secondary infection if it has moved that direction. If it sticks just in sinuses, the secondary infection for a cold is sinusitis. If it moves to the chest, the secondary infection is bronchitis, and so on. So, just putting a finger in your ear would not cause you to have an inner ear infection.
Avatar f tn all are made with special herbs that will not irritate the skin for the condition u have u just click on your skin symptom and order what u would like i use these products and they help a lot for me ...
901608 tn?1242149147 It is difficult for me to know what risk your son has, as I don’t know exactly how small the VSD is, nor do I know how bad the infection of his finger is or if it may be putting bacteria into his bloodstream. I also don’t know with what bacteria he is infected. The creation of endocarditis depends on all of these things. If the VSD is so small that it can’t be heard, the likelihood for increased risk of infection is probably no greater than if he didn’t have a VSD.
Avatar f tn So i went to my OB on monday my doctor told me i have a viginal infection she gave me medication for that. Im worry ever since i started using the medicine i been having white/pinkish discharge kinda like cottage cheese.. Is that normal?
Avatar f tn Bacterial vaginosis is common during pregnancy and is caused by an overgrowth of bad bacteria in the vagina (everyone has both good and bad bacteria in the vagina usually much more good than bad) its important you treat it or you run the risk of preterm labor or even having the infection spread to your amniotic fluid
Avatar m tn Urine therapy is quite popular in some places. It is not infectious.Stool has annoying value. Otherwise the contact with the skin is not infectious.
Avatar f tn You can get infections down there.. Its more like to get bacteria if you don't properly wash your hands, keep your nails clean(or just cut them like I do because most bacteria is under your nails), you don't properly clean your food good, or undercooked foods.
Avatar f tn If u have an bacteria infection in you cant take pills while pregnant what should you do or what can happen?
Avatar n tn t treat it with something. Staphylococci can be normal skin bacteria (flora) or can cause an infection. If you have a minor skin infection such as a minor cut or impetigo try neosporin or other topical. If you have boils you can try hot compresses or a hot bath and topical antibiotics. But if you have a fever you should go to the doctor. They will give you oral antibiotics. The only "side effect" is it can spread to the blood stream if it is serious.
Avatar n tn It may also be complicated by superficial skin infection with yeast or bacteria. Redness and breaks in the skin may be observed. The area may also ooze or be sore or itchy. A bacterial, fungal, or viral infection may develop at the site of broken skin due to the inflammation. Regularly cleanse the affected area gently with mild soap substitutes and keep the areas dry and exposed to the air. If not, absorbent cotton or fabric, as well as absorbent powders, may help.
Avatar f tn Itchy and swollen doesn't sound like a uti to me. It could be bacterial vaginosis or a yeast infection. I'm prone to these conditions and life is hell for me. Some doctors misdiagnose because vaginal problems are so similar. I don't know about the back pain or contractions. That might just be because you are further along?
Avatar f tn A yeast infection is when the yeast in the vagina, mouth or skin grows out of control so it causes redness and itching. A vaginal yeast infection is usually triggered after the person takes antibiotics, as they also kill good bacteria in the vagina that normally controls the yeast numbers. Natural yogurt with no sugar is the best treatment for it as if contains the bacteria bactillophillus adicophillus (spelling) which feeds on the yeast and regains that natural balance. Hope that helps!
Avatar f tn Yes. Staph infections are from a type of bacteria- staphylococcal. It can cause TONS of different problems and is easily spread to others. For example- have you ever heard of MRSA outbreaks? That is a kind of staph that is drug resistant and it can spread very easily. Toxic Shock Syndrome, when a tampon leads to a build up of bacteria that gets into the blood stream and shuts down the body, is another kind of staph infection. This doesn't mean you definitely have it, but it's possible.
Avatar f tn Generally though, UTIs are generally caused by bacteria from your skin, vagina, or rectum that enter your urethra and travel upstream. Often, the bacteria stop in your bladder and multiply there, causing inflammation. If it reaches your kidneys is could cause issues for the baby and you. By not staying hydrated, there is nothing to flush out the bacteria. It could also just be bacteria that just doesn't get flushed out if you are hydrated. It's common in women.
Avatar n tn They are usually right under the head of my penis, or at the tip of my urethra. When tests are done to find out what the infection is the test comes back unknown infection. What can I do to preveen this?
Avatar f tn Think of the ear canal as an extension of the skin. Staph is a common bacteria found in both the ears and on the skin. Staph is also responsible for causing hot spots. However, hot spots, or pyotraumatic dermatitis, is the result of scratching, licking, rubbing, or chewing. The hot spot could occur on the face during an ear infection because your pet is more likely to be scratching or rubbing at the ears, even if the infection is only on one side.
Avatar f tn I've had bacteria vaginosis on and off for a couple years now. My doctor said it most likely will keep coming back. But I am 29 weeks pregnant and I went into the doctors cause I couldn't tell if it was a yeast infection or BV. My doctor still hasn't called me back to tell me what it is. Could BV harm my baby this far along?
Avatar f tn I was having some stomach problems a while ago and finally got some antibiotics for it. It was a Bacteria Stomach Infection, but now the symptoms are coming back and I've only been off the meds for about a month now. But now I've got slimy stool. Even when I don't have a bowel movement my anus area feels a little slimy. I still have diarrhea during unexpected times even when I haven't eaten anything and my stomach is starting to feel blotted again.
