at Anara MedSpa in Piscataway, NJ (they were just voted the best spa in NJ) which uses Infared Rays to detoxify the skin and helps with weight loss by burning about 600 calories every 40 minute treatment. Can you comment on the safety of these treatments?

Tomorrow I move into a hotel with a great fitness center/spa. It was the plan for the 10th -13th days before i started detox last week. So I will be alone because I need that but friends are close by in the city and just a call away! So looking forward to it! Been sleeping at a friends place for the past 9 days....trying to sleep that is. So now it's time for me to get up, get out and get something! My life back!

Anxiety about 20% .Went on a 4 mile run today and that's why I am posting so late tonight as I was just able to crawl out of my spa (LOL) I have logged 66 miles in 21 days and lost 18 pounds . Hello Doctor - Community, I have no peace of mind due to an incident that took place one week ago..after using the sauna at a local fitness club, as I intended to enter the locker-room, the door handle slipped out of my hands but managed to push the door open with my feet (only wearing slippers)..I noticed an compressive pain on my small toe and within a minute or two it started to bleed. As I registered that I have cut myself (not really deep-1'cm length) on the sharp edge of the door..

I have used the Nuskin Galvanic Spa facial, and I'm concerned about the warnings in the instruction booklet. It lists "having a pacemaker" as one of the contraindications, but nobody can give an answer as to WHY. So, can anyone tell me exactly what could happen if someone with a pacemaker used the Galvanic Spa Facial? I'm guessing it could interfere with the electrical setting of the pacemaker, or possible cause an electric shock. Thanks for your help!

You had no risk. If by "fish spa" you mean those places where you stick your feet in water and fish nibble at the dead skin............no risk.

You can use the microdermabrasion kit once you stop the Retin –A because it increases the fragility of the skin. In my opinion you should discuss these treatment options with a cosmetologist/dermatologist.

It was good to hear from someone who has also had a "negative" response to the Nuskin Galvanic Spa. I used the Galvanic Spa 4-5 times on the right side of my face without a problem, but the first time I used it on the left side, it seemed to affect the nerves on that side of my face, so I haven't used it since then. That was 1 1/2 years ago, and the problem still persists.

Wondering other peoples views n if it is safe spray tan during pregnancy I use the versa spa and the salon says it is completely safe but I've done some research and some say it isn't.
