Avatar f tn You get a flat stomach by dieting, any exercise will help build some muscle there but most people have a six pack underneath the fat already, and everyone has a "flat stomach underneath the fat.. This is why and on skinny guys don't count :P Also, a lot of people's pooch or whatever you call it has a lot to do with inflammation of the digestive track.
Avatar m tn No matter how many ab exercises you do, it won't show until the layer of fat is gone. Crunches and flutter kicks may give you six pack and but they won't show. Cardio helps burn fat and will remove that layer right off your belly. Anything that can get you heart pumping is cardio so make it fun! Dance fast to an upbeat song. Do jumping jacks. Run in place or just run. Look up at home cardio workouts for some fun ideas. Zumba is a great cardio workout.

I was just seeing if any experienced guys on here have a good routine for a beginner/intermediate like myself. I started doing a little of everything 3 times a week, then did arms/abs then chest/back/shoulders/legs twice a week (which took like 2 hours each time to where I was ready to pass out).

Running, tennis, kickboxing and rowing all use the core to stabilize the upper body during the workout. The abs engage, and at the same time get stronger and more defined. Doing ab exercises is the best way to sculpt the six-pack.

2863077 tn?1436670789 On baby clothes... I'd say get the minimum until the baby comes and you see what size and shape she is. My son was born in the spring. At the time he arrived we had a 2-pack of zip up "sleep n plays", a 5-pack of 0-3 short-sleeve onesies, a 3-pack of matching hats, and two pairs of 0-3 month socks. That's all we needed for a month or so! My son was 8lbs 9oz and long and skinny. He never fit newborn sizes, so I'm glad we didn't get any.
172023 tn?1334672284 Anyway, what I recommend you eat is some form of protein, and some form of complex carb prior to exercising, about 1/2 hour before your workout or walk...whatever you have chosen to do. This provides some quick, easily usable energy for your workout, and the protein provides a bit of "oomph" during and after your workout. Some things you can eat: 1 egg, scrambled and a slice of low cal, whole wheat toast.
Avatar f tn For junk food snacks, I like the new Pringles Honey Butter sticks. They are 2 points per pack, and you get quite a few in the pack. Unfortunately, I can't control myself and will eat the entire box, so I can't be left alone with them. I also adore the Skinny Cow ice cream sandwiches, but again--I have the same issue. I do Core, so when I snack, its usually on Core foods, and I don't have to count points for them. Plus Core foods don't lend themselves easily to bingeing.
Avatar n tn m pretty close and have a six pack again. By concentrating on those goals, I was able to forget about the meds...almost 11 months now... Keep exercising and if you start to feel down, exercise some more. There were times I exercised 3x in one day...cardio, weights, cardio, etc... You can get over this hump... Stay Cool...

Avatar n tn We all know that no amount of sit-ups or crunches will give you a six- pack! A six-pack is the result of a clean diet as stated above, low body fat and hard, hard training. Crunches are what I consider a good "finisher" at the end of your core training, poor form often results in not much else than a sore neck. Instead, work your core with dynamic stabilizing moves.

Avatar n tn Plus, your friends might be heavier than you are. You sound very skinny, and when you are very skinny you naturally have less fat- that means smaller boobs. I had smaller boobs than most of my high school friends, but they were also heavier than I was! As an adult, my breasts are still smaller than most women's, but compared to the rest of my body they are proportional or maybe on the big side. It's all relative. I'm sure they look good on YOUR frame.
