Common Questions and Answers about Six pack exercises one month

six-pack

Avatar n tn We all know that no amount of sit-ups or crunches will give you a six- pack! A six-pack is the result of a clean diet as stated above, low body fat and hard, hard training. Crunches are what I consider a good "finisher" at the end of your core training, poor form often results in not much else than a sore neck. Instead, work your core with dynamic stabilizing moves.
Avatar n tn However, the length of time it takes to get-six pack abs depends upon your gender, how consistently you train and whether or not you have an excess amount of body fat. Strength train consistently and follow a hypertrophy, or muscle building, program. That's a high frequency of training sessions, with each session being of high volume. Rectus abdominus muscles like all muscles in your body require a rest from strength training, so allow 48 hours of recovery time between training sessions.
Avatar m tn Hi people, everyone has concerns about the well being of their child I too have some. Lately, he is getting mad to get the abs (six pack abs as they call it). I don’t think that this is something bad but the ways he is trying is a bit crazy. He believes all that is being told to him and I can’t figure out how he can get them without training the right way with the right exercises.
Avatar f tn Unfortunately there isn't enough information about what you're exercise routine is. If all you're doing is cardio and legs...... You're not necessarily going to lose weight and it definitely won't get you a six pack. You're nutrition is going to be about 90% of it but if you want to see those abs you're going to need to change up your routine.
Avatar n tn For a six-pack to show, you must reduce body fat. The body fat percentage necessary to reveal a cut torso varies according to your genes and body type, but for most men, a percentage of 6 to 8 percent will reveal abs, while for women require a percentage of about 11 to 13 percent. To reduce body fat, reduce calories below what you burn daily, which can be determined by finding your basal metabolic rate. A 250- to 500- deficit daily will lead to a 1/2- to 1-pound weight loss in a week.
Avatar m tn t forget, you must also keep up this routine up not just to achieve a six-pack but to keep one.
Avatar m tn No matter how many ab exercises you do, it won't show until the layer of fat is gone. Crunches and flutter kicks may give you six pack and but they won't show. Cardio helps burn fat and will remove that layer right off your belly. Anything that can get you heart pumping is cardio so make it fun! Dance fast to an upbeat song. Do jumping jacks. Run in place or just run. Look up at home cardio workouts for some fun ideas. Zumba is a great cardio workout.
Avatar n tn I played sports heavily all my life, high school varsity football 3 year letterman in Ohio, 13 years of baseball, the works, and I never had breathing problems really, except walking pneumonia during my senior football season. Its been about 2 and a half years and about six months ago my breathing became very difficult, my lungs felt tight, I coughed up brown chunky phlegm, and felt low on energy, like i don't have enough oxygen or something. I smoked about half a pack a day.
Avatar m tn I am one month away from finishing my treatment, I have not had any detectable virus from month number one. My doctor said "thats unusual" I have been up and down, felt bad most of the time and did get very depressed ... I am now wondering what to expect after I am done.
Avatar m tn A push-up not only helps you to get a stronger upper body, but also a stronger midsection. It incorporates the stabilization muscles of your core, combining an upper-body pushing movement with a plank. It is, in fact, one of the best and most basic exercises for your midsection. Push-ups are a higher value plank.
Avatar f tn It just takes a lot of discipline, and you have to be willing to take it to the extreme! Diet is a major factor!! Avoid deep fried foods, processed foods, refined foods and foods high in saturated fats. Eat foods that are nutrient-dense, high in fiber and low in fat, eat lean meats, low fat dairy, whole grains, fruits, vegetables, seeds, nuts and legumes. No liquid calories.
Avatar f tn Every ab workout should include back exercises. Some ab exercises already engage back muscles such as planks or Pilates. Exercises that target the back include the lumbar extension, which involves laying prone on the floor or a ball, and lifting your head and shoulders by using your back muscles. You can have your hands on the floor or ball for support, but don't use them to push. Bird-dog is another effective back exercise.
Avatar f tn You get a flat stomach by dieting, any exercise will help build some muscle there but most people have a six pack underneath the fat already, and everyone has a "flat stomach underneath the fat.. This is why and on skinny guys don't count :P Also, a lot of people's pooch or whatever you call it has a lot to do with inflammation of the digestive track.
Avatar f tn I've been exercising for long time and i can feel my six pack (when i push my finger on my belly) but it's hidden under a layer of fat. Why? What should i do? Any tips?
Avatar m tn All pain is side locked. only on the left side. Ive taken two sets of antibiotics, and a steroid pack. the Z-pack and steroids did alleviate the pain slightly, but overall the sharp pain on the top of my head remains. Ive had a CT scan with contrast of my head and everything shows up clear. I have noticed the inside of my left nostril is very RED, compared to the pink complection of the right nostril. I would say some type of infection?
Avatar f tn Exercises to pull in your tranverse abdominals (think of those as a corset around your core, the rectus abdominals are those which make a six pack) are planks (side and pushup position), isometric holds (think holding a pullup bar and pulling your legs up straight and holding for a few seconds at a time). But focus on your diet to get rid of stubborn belly fat. Cardio will also help shed the excess fat. Try walking on an incline for 20 mins, then build to jogging intervals for 20.
Avatar m tn I took my first pack of birth control and got my period then 7 days later after it was over (one week into my new pack) i got my period again for 6 days and it was kind of heavy. Could I be Pregnant? is this normal?
Avatar f tn You will require at least four to six sessions. The exercises cannot be learned on the internet, but are very helpful. This will be money well spent, even if it is not covered by insurance. Opiates won't work. Ask your physician to prescribe a transdermal lidocaine patch which you should wear for no longer than 12 hours a day. Keep well hydrated and avoid any lifting. Sleep with a pillow between your legs. Also, to relieve the pain, have your physician prescribe a TENS device.
Avatar f tn Alternate walking and sitting, put your feet up when you can, when resting lay on your left side with feet propped up on a pillow, pelvic floor exercises and butt crunches also help get blood flowing in the area, eating extra fiber and drinking tons of water help too. My Dr told me it's something I'll have to deal with until after the baby comes. Oh, applying an ice pack to the area can help also.
Avatar f tn For me, hard work hard physical labor such as yard work, lifting, perhaps building a wall with stone ... this was the type of work that got me a six pack, but at the same time I was losing weight for a health problem (Celiac) so my body fat got low.
Avatar f tn I hust started a new pack of birth control pills this month. I used to take tri-lo-sprintec tablet generic for (ortho tri-cyclen LO) for the past 6 six years, but in Michigan we do not have it in generic form anymore. Therefore this month i started taking Eth estradi/norgestimate and I feel very lazy and sleepy all the time and I see that I have been gaining weight. My question is is what I am taking now the same as what I was taking before because that is what the pharmacy told me?
