My problems started about 7-8 months ago with pressure in the top of my head. When I pushed down on the area it would stop, but as soon as I moved my hand it started back. The pain/pressure would come and go and was not so dibilitating that it kept me from my daily activities. I had an eye exam in July and the dr. found no problems and no pressure in the eye area. When I went to my gyno the next month for my checkup, he thought it was hormone related and prescribed estrogen and Provera.
They say its all common an expected but have constant neck and back pain an my arms tend to ache an tingle alot an also in my legs. Constanly have sharp pains under my ribs feel like im gonna puke and sharp pains in my back if i move wrong. And constant migranes when will it ease up an what can i do to make it not hurt so bad?
Hello, I have been having shooting pain in the back right side of my head. What's unique about this pain is that it is not constant, it shoots through very sharply and then calms down. However, it keeps re-occurring. This has been happening since Jan. 31 and I have made a few visits to ER because it really scares me. When this pain happens, it feels so severe like it can do unrepairable damage.
im 17 and 5 months ago i started having bad neck and shoulder pain due to sleeping weirdly. 2 months ago i moved my head back as my neck was feeling tight and i felt a pop in the back left side of my head. i immediately got dizzy and had a tingly feeling and blood rush through my head. the symptoms after that were pain/twitches in random nerves, nauseousness when i turned my head, weakness, tigtness in my chest and throat and a tingly feeling down my body when i laid down.
I have a terrible cold, and my neck and back of head are absolutely killing me. I can litterally feel the back of my head pulsating..feel like my eyes are going to bug out of my head. Still haven't heard a word from my dr, but it has been confirmed by two other drs that I have this..not sure why he is in denial about it all :( Is there anything I should worry about? Is there anything I can do to stop this pain? I have tried tylenol and advil..nothing is helping!

My whole head is sore to the touch. My left side and back of my neck feel tight and soreness actually goes up the back of my head a little. I have not done anything strenuous and after reading about VM I am now worried if I should seek further on this. Any advice on am I exaggerating and should give it time or does this not sound normal?
Have you tried sleeping with your head elevated? You need to support your upper back, neck and head so you don't crimp your neck if you do this. I used to have sinus problems, and this helped. But I didn't want to sleep in this position all the time. I discovered my sinus problems went away when I stopped using dairy.

hey, I have been having chronic neck and head pain for 8 months now, the last 2 weeks it has got worse. I had a ct scan and neck xray in june, both came back good. I have done message therapy and acupucture, nothing worked. I now have mild tremors, and recently noticed a swollen lymph node on my neck, my head pain has gotten worse since this. My doctors are telling my its tension headaches, but i dont know what to think, nothing works and i always have a headache, it has been along 8 months.
I had a C4- C5 fusion and I also have a bulging disc still in my neck that. I also have 2 herniated disc L4-L5 in my lower back that cause back pain and pain in my hip my back L4-L5 are not from the car wreck but C4-C5 are from the whiplash in the car wreck. I would suggest you go to a neurologist and have it checked out ASAP.
Sinus issues and stress can both cause pain in the back of the neck into the upper shoulder area. I would try some moist heat on the back of your neck.
Thyroid nodules do not affect your neck in the back.....only in the front. I would not worry too much about the biopsy...I know it is easier said than done, but thyroid cancer is not the only cause of nodules.....hashimotos causes nodules as well. Good luck and let us know what you find out.
Can the sinusitis cause my eye pain and sore and weak neck muscles? An eye specialist could not say anything about the eye pain. There is cataract in my left eye, but no glaucoma or other diseases, checked in early December. A neurologic specialist did not find any cause for my eye pain. I know that I have cervical dystonia, but I think that there may be another cause in addition to dystonia.
One doctor has suggested a viral infection as a cause of my eye pain. Can it last for months?
My ear hurts, and still have some sinus issues. I face is sore to the touch as is my neck and chest area. I am going back to the Doctor again tomorrow however I feel like they should be checking into something more as I don't know how I can still have this mess after nearly 7 months.
Any advise would be appreciated!
I have minor jolts of pain in my jaw and sometimes in my neck. I also have an odd warm press feeling in the back of my head (same side as my ear). I saw an ENT about a month ago and he told me I have some major sinus drainage and that the ear ringing is probably connected to my TMJ but I'm kind of freaking out (I hope he's not dismissing possibilities just because I'm 22!
Went to chiropractor that morning. Late that day intense pain in back of head when bending forward, coughing, clearing throat. Went online to ask a doctor where I described recent activities but was told it sounded like sinus infection. Next day saw chiropractor again who just gently did range of motion in neck and head and said he had never in 60 years of practice ever seen anything like it.
