I skipped a week of Humira under Dr advice incase I was fighting a sinus infection. Symptoms got better. Then I started back on my Humira last night and my teeth are killing me again. If I take DayQuil and NyQuil everyday, my sinuses feel better but its been some weeks now that I'll get a horrible sinus headache without cold medicine. Laying down or sleeping on my stomache makes it worse.
I want to talk to my rheumatologist about maybe going to every other week shots instead of every week.
My sinus infection kept coming back and I kept getting hives and I was tired all of the time. I went to an ENT specialist and they did a culture. It came back as MRSA. He said it was very common and only certain antibiotics will cure it. The hives came from the type of bacterial infection... Once you get it cleared up, it shouldn't come back.
She put me on Augmentin for 8 days for a sinus infection and said that she saw fluid behind my left eardrum. After the 8th day of pain, the augmentin did NOTHING and I went to the ER. The ER doctor was concerned about my family history and me being a smoker, and recommended a CAT scan and a spinal tap! I had both. I also insisted he do a full sinus scan. The CAT and Tap came back normal. My sinuses were a "little cloudy" on the left side.
Usually I also have a burning on my tongue and or a metalic taste in my mouth. I first thought it was a sinus infection but I now have no other sinus symtoms. Now I am having a some uncomforatability above my left uper back teeth. Is it possible to have these symtoms before the tooth ach? I also have TMG with clicking that can be heard by others while I eat.
There can be fistulas also sometimes. Treatment involves use of antibiotics, sinus washings to cleanse the sinus from infection and other specific management depending on the situation. A dental examination is absolutely necessary. If you are not satisfied with your dentist’s opinion seek another opinion. I hope it helps.

It sounds as though you most likely have a sinus infection, but it could be something else, or a sinus infection in addition to another problem. Sinus infections are treated with antibiotics; since they aren't sold over the counter, you would need a prescription. They can become serious if not treated early on, so a doctor's care is important.
On top of that, I have a dull pain on my upper left side of the nose sometimes and my lymph nodes on my throat and arm pits have been swollen before (not now). Ive taken so many otc mucus medication and painkillers for headaches and sinus rinses and now taking patadol for eyes, but my symptoms continue??? Its very frustrating ! Should I take an allergy test at the doctors?? Why would my lymph nodes be infected? My teeth dont hurt but can it be due to wisdom teeth coming in??
2 weeks ago I had a ctscan and it didn’t show an infection. My teeth didn’t hurt then just had a headache and pressure. About a week ago my teeth started hurting and my dr will not prescribe me an antibiotic. Will the meds that I’m on cure a sinus i ection if I have one??? I can’t take this pain anymore. I also do a netie pot 3 times a day. And take 800 mg of ibuprofen 3 times a day. I notice some of you have similar symptoms. Please go get checked.
I work in dental and have been doing the studies between teeth and sinus as I myself have no infection lesion on my root tips but do have pain in a tooth. with a retention cyst sitting above the tooth. if when they take the X-ray there is an infection I would go ahead with root canal. if the root tip is sitting in the floor of the sinus I would then ask to see a ent before commencing with a rct. asking the dentist to first get an opg will be a good indercation on if you may have.

4-5 weeks ago for a very bad sinus infection. I felt better and then appx 2 weeks ago I developed more symptoms, dental (teeth) pain, headaches, extreme tiredness, ear congestion, and finally went back to the doctor. He said that my throat glands were swollen and gave me a different anibiotic. I have been on the antibiotics for 4plus full days. The dental pain has diminished but I still have headaches and my glands still feel swollen but worst of all I still have no energy !
However, does anyone have any advice on some home treatment or OTC medicine that I could use for this infection. This has been going on (off and on) for months, and this pain and burning is becoming unbearable. Also, several of my remaining teeth on that side has become loose. I have had teeth extracted in the past because of this problem. Thank you.
Ouch! From your symptoms (sinus pain and low-grade fever) I would have assumed that you have a moderate sinus/ear infection. Maybe you do, but your doctors are just too hesitant to prescribe antibiotics. I had similar symptoms a few weeks ago (1 degree fever, sinus headaches, always feeling warm, tired, previous sore throat, only slight sinus drip) and they prescribed antibiotics and it went away eventually.
A cat scan showed fluid in maxillary sinuses and some ethnoid sinusitus but my ENT surgeon shows no infection and is now considering a tubinate "snip" as he calls it to because my left turbinate is a bit large. I am going for a 2nd opinion and have to a neurologist also. Is there anyone out there who can relate? This has completely changed my life. I have a family a job & responsibilities and some days I just sob from discomfort and frustration.
Well, here's my little ticket, but before current symptoms I'll give a quick recap of recent treatment.
Started about three weeks ago. I go into my dentist's office due to persistent pain across the right side of my mouth, or I should say the individual teeth therein. So he spots a sinus infection (and my first cavity; at least I got it later than my friends from school) in an x-ray, I go on antibiotics for 5 days and all was well starting two days after I finish taking them.
