Same wrong answer. There are long term effects well documented on most pharamceuticals with the exception of the newer ones. We have government agencies for this with pharmaceuticals, noboody's watching the so called "natural" or "herbal", plus most pharamceuticals are made from what you push as "natural," and this is why you don't mix the two.
Can someone explain what, if any, evidence there for a switch from simvastatin to pravastatin? My husband's doctor said there is new evidence that simvastatin may be detrimental. Unfortunately, my husband did not quiz him further. He already has one stent in a narrow back artery but he has brought his cholesterol down considerably with the statins.
