Hello Dan My Boy Friend is 49 and he has been on Methadone for 75 days. I am so proud of him and hate him at the same time.Please understand I love him with all my heart and would do anything for him. When we first met he was addicted to opiates . I didn;t know because he hid it at first then he had to have gallbladder surgery and it was all out in the open then,,,I was drug to every hospital around our state and then some in near by states. It was awful..

It could be a side effect of the methadone or even an allergic type reaction to it. I remember when I took Macrobid (antibiotic) for a urinary infection, I had a high fever (102.3) every time I would take it, so I called my doctor's office and they told me to stop it immediately because I was having an allergic reaction to it. As it turned out, my father had had this same type of reaction to it a couple years before.

weight gain, thristy, stomach acid ( have take anti acid daily), monthly cycle is off Hope hear from you any info always helps

how old is he .how much OC was he taking and for how long .Methadone is considered one of the hardest drugs to come off of I am glad he is only taking30mg is this going to be his high point or does he plain on going on more.

I actually just went to a funeral of a guy who did that a few months ago (xanax and methadone). In fact, in just the last 2 - 3 years in my area I have personaly known 3 people who have died from that, but there have been many many more. I am not sure how long darvocet stays active, but methadone is a LONG acting medicine and it may not matter if you take the doses 12 or even 24 hours apart. Stay safe!

It scares me a little because I have panic attacks and withe all of the problems of not getting any rest I am having problems with getting anxious. I must work so the lack of sleep is hurting tht also. Plus the loose bowels are horrible. Pleas help if anyone has or is going throug this.

i want to know the side effects of saboxone, long n short term. ive been taken 1 to 2 saboxone a day. im not even into pills but when i tried it, i like the feeling. and i want to know the side effects, i heard memory loss was one? i took 2 **** tests on it and i passed. if anyone knows for sure please let me know, thank you.

They subsided after about a week. Oh yeah, and the constipation! yuck! The side effects you are experiencing are most likely caused by the Sub, it's different for different people. Have you read the pamphlet that came with the RX?

I am 39yrs old and have been on methadone for approx 12-15yrs. This has proven to be the biggest life changing mistake i have ever made. I have not touched heroin for approx 10yrs,but between then and roughly a year ago,i also was addicted to valium,temazepam,and finally crack cocaine.

You need to talk to the clinic and your ob about steps to take to get off the drug. Methadone causes serious dependency and side effects. Good luck! I was 19 when I kicked heroin and oxys (2001) and have never looked back. A good detox might help too.

i have had hep c for about 3 and a half yrs that i know of and have been in a methadone clinic for 2 yrs.

The ones I have heard have the fewest side effects are Methadone and Suboxone, but there also the ones that have terrible withdrawls. But may people say that methadone works better than anything they've tried so are willing to take the trade off. I have also heard so little negative about Opana ER like TrayCee mentioned. Everyone I've talked to who takes it has said it has really worked nicely for them. But like mentioned above, everyone reacts differently to meds.

I take 90mg of methadone for about 8 months and im feeling very depressed i have all the symptoms of severe depression is ok to mix those 2 drugs. I'm only 26 by the way with two kids.

I just watched a show the other night about a woman who took methadone the whole time she was pregnant. when the baby was born of course she was addicted. she stayed an additional 5 weeks in NCIU going through withdraws. she was on morphine to help wean her from the methadone./ please talk to your doctor about detoxing. good luck and please keep us posted.

I was not taking a large amount but enough to feel the side effects of not having them.... I have read that methadone is pretty safe, so i decided to take it while i go through the detox also i felt if i needed a pain reliver that methadone would be the better choice, i have bad back pain due to a car accident... so please help me, this is my first and i dont want to hurt or lose my baby.....

Their pamphlet says there have been no official studies on the effects on a baby HOWEVER, of those taking the methadone who were pregnant, they suffered no side effects, birth defects or dependency by the baby. I am currently on methadone and have been for about a year now, and i am dealing with a lot of anxiety and depression. I have been on celexa for about 7 years and the doctor decided that i have become immune to it, so he is putting me on wellburtin. I haven't tried it yet because i havent heard good things so far and am a little worried. I'm also concerned about side effects from taking the two drugs together even though the doctor said it wouldn't be a problem.
