It sounds like you may have Fibromyalgia or even perhaps a mix between that and Chronic Fatigue. Many doctors think the two are the same condition, but each person has either pain or fatigue as their main symptom. I am not familiar with Arthrotec, so I can't comment on that medication. What kind of specialist are you going to see? The best type for what you are going through is a Rheumatologist. I would get in to see one if you can. Good luck. -Dusty.

Hi Scotty: I'm sorry to hear of your pain. As far as other meds, I use a drug called Arthrotec. Info for this drug : http://www.drugs.com/pdr/arthrotec.html. I have no idea if this will help you. I use it for neck and hand pain. Works very well for me. If helps my sister with the same issues. It's basically an NSAID for those of us with ulcers. I have no way of knowing if it would help you. But it doesn't affect you in the same way that Vicodin does.

Have you noticed any side effects on Clonazepam or Lexapro? I am on 10 mg of Lexapro for a while now and added 1 mg of Clonazepam 2 monts ago. I noticed that I get twitches in my fingers and sometimes my fingers shake a little. Does this familiar to anyone?

I called the Drs office today and he said these symptoms could not be from the med. I did research possible side effects a couple of days ago and these can indeed be side effects. I had a lot of side effects from the steroids. I had anxiety, acne, weight gain and night sweats and a general crazy feeling. The injections also only lasted me a month. I would not get them again because of the side effects. Also four times a year is way too much. The steroids can cause weakening of the tendons and joints if done too many times in the same spot as well as bone loss.

Medications can easily interact and sometimes medications that have been fine for a long time all of a sudden aren't. A gerentologist probably is the best place to look for answers. You may experience gastrointestinal symptoms like nausea, vomiting and sedative effects. However, it is important that any sign of allergic reaction such as difficulty of breathing, swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat. twitching or tremor will warrant immediate attention. You may think it is easier for a woman to have this dysfunction and so we tolerate the medication for a longer period of time. Not so. It was hell. But, when I leveled out....once a period of two and a half years and another about a year, I was changed. I experienced all of those side effects except the heart burn, but only at first. After awhile my body seemed to get used of the drug. I also gained weight on Depakote. That is the reason I am not on it now. I have back problems and the extra weight was brutal. Soon as as switched to Topamax (which has weight loss side effects) I lost the extra weight plus. Seizure meds are tough. They all have very extreme side effects.
