I had a ischemic stroke 2 years ago at the age of 22 caused by birth control. Almost immediately after the fact, my skin erupted in severe acne covering almost every inch of my face. I went on accutane to try and remedy the issue but even that only cause temporary relief. I have at this point, been on almost every acne medication possible but nothing has helped. I now deal with bad cheek acne that I never had at all before the stroke.
hi, i have been havinng acne problem since i was 18.About four years ago,some painful acne developed on my chest and it was so painful that i could not touch.i did not treat it and now it has grown into large cysts.i have sought several medical treatment but i have never gotten a solution. I am a fair-skinned 57 yearold woman who has been on Retinoids since I was thirty due to adult female acne. I was on Renova for a few years, then Tazarotene, but now am on generic Retin-A 0.01% for cost reasons. My other meds are for mood, allergy, hypothyrhoid, cholesterol, and hormone-replacement therapy. My skin is lovely except for enlarged pores on my nose and flakes around my nostrils. I can pull them off one at a time with tweezers, but it's very time consuming.

I am struggling with a severe acne breakout recently. I can not figure out what it is from. It first started at both sides of my jawline, little white bumps under my skin that surfaced as cystic like whitheads. Now I have them ALL over my face. I have been going to a dermatologist for a long time and he told me it was acne and milia. He uses a needle to "zap and burn" them. Which leaves me with dark small spots all over my face like measles or something. They take 7 days to heal.
I have severe cysitc acne that covers my upper back. I went to a dermatologist for this condition beginning at age 12.
During the course of treatment I was perscribed Minocycline, Doxycycline, tetracycline, and sulfa based medications, all resulting in allergic reactions. I was finally placed on Accutane with positive results while taking the drug, however six months after completing treatment, the acne returned again.
I just recieved my kit today and was wondering which testing I needed to select. This is the very first Lyme testing I am having done. Do I just selsct the complete Lyme Panel or specific tests. I have always suffered from acne but I always managed my triggers of acne whereas these new rashes I get are unexplainable since I still control the triggers of my acne.
I also get cold sores regularly now. I would say every 3 months I get a cold sore now.
Moreover, I have persistent diarrhoea. I'm not sure about how regular my stools are soft but at least once a month I go through a period of having diarrhoea or very soft stools.

Acne will have to be assessed and graded by your dermatologist.The less severe forms may require only topical medications. More severe forms may require injections and surgery.
Seek consult with your dermatologist. Do not pick on the acne since this may cause scarring or may be infected. Keep your skin dry and avoid long exposures to heat and dryness. Avoid any irritants ,drink lots of fluids, exercise and get adequate amounts of sleep.
treatment for acne. It is reserved for patients with severe acne which has not responded to other treatments, or who have relapsed after discontinuing therapy. It has many potential side effects but this must be balanced against the fact that 80% of patients experience long term remission from acne after one course lasting 16-24 weeks.
