i am a 26 yr old male. i have a moderately itchy scalp that gets oily by the end of the day & have occasional acne on the scalp. also i have significant hair loss due to it.Recently, i have noticed more frequent occurrence of acne on my face & rarely on my chest & back. i wash my hair everyday with a mild shampoo to remove the oiliness. it just doesn't seem to help. i somehow feel the itchy scalp, acne & facial acne are related.
In case the symptoms persist then oral antibiotics or incision and drainage may be needed. Please consult a dermatologist in that case. Also then the possibility of cystic acne has to be ruled out.

Hi. My skin has always been clear but about six months ago I got acne. The acne on my face keeps spreading. It's starts off as very small bumps on my face which later get red and swell a little. I also have lots of whiteheads and my acne. I've tried tratree oil and niacinamida and none of them seem to work. Any ideas to what to put on my face?

I had a ischemic stroke 2 years ago at the age of 22 caused by birth control. Almost immediately after the fact, my skin erupted in severe acne covering almost every inch of my face. I went on accutane to try and remedy the issue but even that only cause temporary relief. I have at this point, been on almost every acne medication possible but nothing has helped. I now deal with bad cheek acne that I never had at all before the stroke.
When they scanned her brain just over a year ago they noticed tonsillar descent but had no advice about what to do other than that in severe cases surgery is the best option. More recently she had a repeat scan and they told her it had not become worse over the 12 month between scans which I suppose is good news. But her GP has failed to find a subject-matter-expert so far. The GP himself knows nothing about TOnsillar Descent, other than what he's read since meeting my mother.
hi, i have been havinng acne problem since i was 18.About four years ago,some painful acne developed on my chest and it was so painful that i could not touch.i did not treat it and now it has grown into large cysts.i have sought several medical treatment but i have never gotten a solution. ) you might want to look into something called the ***demodex mite***... they live on the face/head of most adults... come out at night...and thrive in people that have weakened immune systems...(i was on antibiotics for months for lyme disease...it wreaked havoc on mine) it seems tea tree oil helps... also sulfur based products (i use bye bye blemish) and sun light... i also have a doctor that thinks i'm crazy... and won't perscribe the meds i need... so i'm looking for a new one...
I am struggling with a severe acne breakout recently. I can not figure out what it is from. It first started at both sides of my jawline, little white bumps under my skin that surfaced as cystic like whitheads. Now I have them ALL over my face. I have been going to a dermatologist for a long time and he told me it was acne and milia. He uses a needle to "zap and burn" them. Which leaves me with dark small spots all over my face like measles or something. They take 7 days to heal.
I have severe cysitc acne that covers my upper back. I went to a dermatologist for this condition beginning at age 12.
During the course of treatment I was perscribed Minocycline, Doxycycline, tetracycline, and sulfa based medications, all resulting in allergic reactions. ve suffered from severe sweating since the onset of puberty and also had severe acne as a teenager. For acne, I was prescribe 6 months of accutane - which did wonders for my facial/body acne. However, in the last couple of years I have struggled with controlling back acne. For sweating, when I was 20 I received botox injections in my forhead and armpits - which worked well. Not amazingly, but helped for sure. I had been getting injections every 6 months.

I am a 19 year old teenager facing severe hormonal acne. I have been to a dermatologist a couple of times and have taken several kind of medications. Acne will have to be assessed and graded by your dermatologist.The less severe forms may require only topical medications. More severe forms may require injections and surgery.
Seek consult with your dermatologist. Do not pick on the acne since this may cause scarring or may be infected. Keep your skin dry and avoid long exposures to heat and dryness. Avoid any irritants ,drink lots of fluids, exercise and get adequate amounts of sleep.
Now i have painfull sore throat and light fever and a rash it might be acne but its too big to called an acne.. its already 26 days post exposure? Am I Infected? Or the symptomps just related another infection? Is it necessary to take hiv test? My exposure was mentioned above.. and thats only my exposure that i had.

It can be due to cystic acne. Cystic acne is the most severe form of acne. Cystic acne affects deeper skin tissue than the more superficial inflammation from common acne. Since they are severe, so systemic medications are usually required. The treatment consists of topical and oral antibiotics, tretinoin, oral contraceptives in females and Intralesional corticosteroid injections. Very severe cases may need excision and drainage.
