zoloft

Avatar m tn Hi, does Viagra/sidegra causes any long term side effects after using it? I've experienced a massive loss of sensitivity on my penis after using the pills. I have not been prescribed from a doctor, but bought of the store in Thailand. Popped 50 mg to 100 mg per intercourse. Have used it often for two weeks, and noticed the lack of feeling on the tip under intercourse and even when I stopped using the pills.
Avatar m tn ve been on the Zoloft only a few months, it should theoretically be easier if you were on the valium a long time, but not necessarily. This is a very individual thing, as both can have long-term or permanent effects on the brain or no effects at all -- it runs the gamut. But doing two at once would seem to just be asking for trouble.
Avatar m tn Since posting here i have just gone and looked up Sertraline. It seems the side effects of that are very similar to withdrawal symptoms? Like i said i was getting symptoms before i started the Sertraline. In hindsight though it does seem to have gotten worse. Just let me add, when i went to my doctor it was more for my physical symptoms than mental ones. I have always suffered from Insomnia, probably due to my long term drug use, and have learned to cope with it.
3094157 tn?1340937202 s the short term side effects you should be more worried about than the long term. Are there any long term side effects listed on the PIL? If any of those are the same as the long term side effects of drinking, I can only guess that it increases your chances of having them seeing as it'll be a double whammy.
Avatar f tn hi I started off on 50mg for 10days then upped to 100mg now been 3 week on Friday and the side effects are slowly easing it does take time for ur body to adjust but stick with it, I was on 40mg of fluoxetine for 5 weeks until I knew they weren't doing anything for me iv been on and off tablets for 7 years but I'm sticking with these long term now as I feel they are slowly doing the job, i have days where I'm tired even after having 8+ hours sleep, what time of day are u taking the 50
7163794 tn?1457366813 myself to get up? Is this in my head, or is it possible there are long term effects to pain meds and suboxone use? Could it just be me? Has anyone else felt this?
Avatar f tn Does anyone know the long term effects of abusing pain killers? I found out today that a friend of my husbands actually had seizures because of how long she was on vicodin. Just curious.
Avatar n tn What are the long term effects? Now that the issue is resolved. what can we do to head off any long term problems from this?
Avatar m tn s dopamine structure and that i will never be happy again or feel as good as before i began the drug use. can anybody tell me what some of the long-term effects maybe and weather i will be able to fully recover. Did i permantely damage my brain's structure? Please, i need some medical information on this. I have been looking on the internet but not much exists.
Avatar n tn i dont know if these are possible long term effects of the drugs or something else. everyone keeps saying im having anxiety attacks but these feelings come when i am calm and seem very serious. if anyone has any advice on whats going on ,whether drug related or not,, or any advice on good doctors to go to PLEASE let me know immediatly.
Avatar f tn BUT, I have to take it or I am in pain. So try not to worry so much about the long term effects when you are trying to survive today. If you are worried about this I would talk to my doctor and let them know what you are experiencing and there may be something they can do differently. Just dont stop any seizure med without a doctors help. Hope you feel better..
Avatar m tn I have no symptoms and feel great; I am 54 and wondering if HEP C would kill me or if the treatment could cause long term effects that could ruin my health. The longest living male in my family was my father 86 and had slow progressive dementia the last 10 years.
612551 tn?1450022175 Talking to myself? Now 8 days on sertraline and still fatigue side effects, an no noticeable reduction in my troubled ruminations. I will go to the full 50 mg on day 10, and if things get no better I'll ask my doctor for advice. Others have told me it takes a couple of weeks, so I should give it at least that long.
Avatar f tn s cramp is exceptionally bad this time, not sure it was affected by Sertraline. I am not sure this med would help me anymore. Hope someone could induce more positive effects about Sertraline.
1910757 tn?1348683319 After the first week or so, the adverse effects slowly disappeared and my mood improved a lot. I was honestly loving Sertraline, because it made me feel the way I was before the depressive episode and it also improved my anxiety. About two weeks ago, I started getting diarrhea. At first it didn't bother me, because I spend most of my time at home and I just though it would eventually go away like the other adverse effects.
Avatar f tn How long have you been taking it? In my experience with Sertraline, I do tend to initially notice some side effects whenever I start, stop, or adjust dosage (under the doc's advice of course), but they tend to dissapate over time. As with any med, there are always pros and cons on taking it....for me, the pros vastly outnumber the cons, so in my experience with sertraline, it has helped me.
Avatar f tn I have been on 200mg of sertraline for a long time and after trying other drugs I know this is the best for me. I have recently founf out im pregnant so asked my doctor for advice. I was told the risks are minimal and recommended I stay on it. Is it true the only risk is the baby might be born with a sertraline addiction?
Avatar f tn Okay, first of all, I am not a doctor. But I can tell you my own experiences with these meds. I am on several medications for anxiety and depression, some of them are in the same 'family' of meds you are taking. And, yes, I have noticed some stuttering, but mostly when I am excited about something and try to talk too fast. I have been on these meds for about a month, and I do see the stuttering becoming less and less.
Avatar m tn re taking it daily, is more problematic in the long term than an antidepressant usually, but individuals really vary a lot in how they feel on medication. Drugs are weird, and drugs for the brain are really weird, as our brains are really weird.
Avatar m tn dont be too scared as said above few people experience sides but one thing is for sure long term use for decades is not healthy and only cirrhosis or severe damaged liver can justify such use so i'd definitely combo with other therapies so that nucs can be used short term from latest easl conference we have now tests for sustained immune control of hbv cccdna equal or less than 5 copies/cell we now need an hbsag level equal to 5copies/cell, mybe hbsag 500iu/ml
Avatar n tn And, I know that my psychiatrist can answer my questions, but I need to go in with concise questions since our sessions are so short. So, I need to know what I'm talking about and specific advice or insight would be very, very helpful. For point (2), is there a specific anti-depressant that works best (like a gold standard) if upping the dose of Zoloft doesn't work? Thanks again.
612551 tn?1450022175 I am a senior and losses in family and age has given me long term grief and depression. I tried Trazadone for about a year but didn't seem to get much help and I think it was making my sleeping problems worse. I then went to Sertraline (Zoloft) and have been on a half dose for 9 days (25 mg) and will go to full dose of 50 mg on day 10. The side effects seem to add to my fatigue, which I already had due to grief/bereavement.
18070169 tn?1463175914 I don't plan on being on it long term. Hopefully in a year I can taper off. We will see what the dr says. I have not struggled with anxiety before. This is very new and fresh to me. I had a hysterectomy and I think it really wacked my body out. The Pharmacist says he sees this quite a bit - it takes up to year after major surgery for some people. My hormone levels are fine right now - so that wasn't the issue, just got anxious over everything.
