Hi, I am a 27 year old male, been sexually active for 10 years and in a steady relationship for over a year. I have always suffered from premature ejaculation, which I think has something to do with my Anxiety and Depression.
I ejaculate within 2 minutes (or substantially less!) 99% of the time. Have previously tried Prozac at 20mg, 40mg, and 60mg but this did not help at all. Am currently on sertraline 100mg, which helps for anxiety and depression but not PE.
I am 27, and have always suffered from premature ejaculation. I tried Fluoxetine in the past and found it useless, I am currently on 100mg sertraline daily.
After 3-4 months on sertraline I've noticed a slight improvement that is still hit and miss, have tried all sorts of "start-stop" exercises and kegel exercises for nearly a year. I also have occasional anxiety-related ED problems which I take Levitra for.
What is my next step?
Curleygirl7 is correct the medicine is an anti-anxiety med but one side effect is prolonged ejaculation. I know from experience. I have taken Zoloft for many years for anxiety. As long as I stay at 50 mg per day all is good (not much effect on my sex drive, ejac, etc.) If I up it to 100 mg which I have tried in the past during stressful times I can have sex literally as long as I want to and sometimes not get to the point of ejac.
Taking Escitalopram for premature ejaculation is puzzling for me unless you haven't explained everything, since the drug is prescribed for treating depression and generalized anxiety disorder. And then it takes from one to four weeks or longer to become fully effective.
This occurs specially when I’m running on treadmills or jogging uphill. I really don’t know what to do. I think I can cure my premature ejaculation by killing some nerves on my penis but doctors refuse to accept this idea or do it.
I really need help. Please tell me if there is any kind of special medication like surgery to cure this problem or not. I live in Iran and please if you know someone in my country that can help me, inform me.

it is very common to have sexual dysfunction issues with medications like sertraline. let your provider know how much of an issue this is for you. Often options include trying other meds with less of this particular side effect (for depression/anxiety often pristiq, effexor, cymbalta) or adding another med to the sertraline such as wellbutrin/bupoprion. It can take some trial and error but it can get better!

I'm still a virgin, one prominent reason being that I have premature ejaculation so every time I'm offered a ** I turn it down because I can see how embarrassing it would be if I reached climax in 10 seconds. This is shameful but I had masturbated for the past 8 years and finally I stoped, but while I was masturbating the time for ejaculation to occur decreased from 15 mins when I first started to almost a few seconds.
