seroquel klonopin

My new psychiatrist switched me to Seroquel 100mg which I started taking on March 20, 2009. My question is can Seroquel help me on my Klonopin withdrawal? There were nights I can't sleep. I read an article that Antipsychotics should be avoided may aggravate benzodiazepine withdrawal. Please read: http://www.bcnc.org.uk/drugs.html. I am scared, please help.

Just wondering.....when my husband was heavily addicted to percocets, oxys and valium, he had little or no sex drive....but it took about 2 years to get to that point. ( 60 percocets, 300mg oxy, 200mg valium daily...approx ) When he got onto the suboxone about 5 weeks ago, his libido came back with a vengeance. Now he's on 12 mg of sub, about 20 mg of klonopin, and 75 mg of seroquel. Can someone please tell me what this combination of drugs does to a person's sex drive?

First off, call the doctor about this. Whatever the reason, it's worrisome. Second off, what was he taking before? Suddenly starting on 300 mg Seroquel could make you extremely sedated, although as a rule Seroquel gets a bit less sedating at higher doses, because it's weird like that. Klonopin could also contribute to being stuporous. The Wellbutrin should be activating, but it's clearly not doing enough.

My doc wants me to try latuda for anxiety, she has seen great success. I take seroquel already for anxiety, and klonopin, and nortryptoline and lamictal. I am not bipolar. I only suffer from amxiety. I also would like k=to know if anyone else has to take so many drugs.

I would be inclined to recommend something like that before Seroquel. Some people have success with Seroquel, but in my own opinion, I think an SSRI is a more reasonable choice, for a few reasons. Obviously, MANY of the symptoms you experienced that were attributed to anxiety, were actually a result of the CM. The plus side of that is, I would imagine a good bit of your anxiety will be alleviated once those symptoms are brought under control post-op. When is your surgery?

I am currently taking 1.5 mgs of Klonopin (.5mgs, three times a day) and my shrink and I are thinking about kicking over to Xanax XR. I would prefer not to be on a benzo, but I hate the Klonopin, it makes the depression worse. If I have found, by taking Xanax XR are a PRN, that it lifts my mood as well as calming me down. The Klonopin just drags me out. What are some of the pros and cons of making this switch?

I've been on Klonapin for 15 yrs. my most current dose is 1/2 mg in the morning and at night. There's a new DR. here and she decided that I shouldn't be on it anymore. She prescribed Lexapro and Seroquel,because apparently she's hard of hearing and didn't pay me any attention. When I told her that I don't like to take alot of meds. and if i'm not allergic to it don't fix it. Now I don't know what to expect. Has anyone ever had withdrawl from this.

The doctor put me back on Seroquel (200mg) per day, and did give me Klonopin (1mg) as needed. I'm using the Klonopin as an as needed supplement, because I feel that this is a highly addictive drug and I'm not prepared to go through withdrawal symptoms because of it... switching from the Xanax was not a problem as I did not take it all the time, only when needed.

I was put on Klonopin for a mis-diagnosis of epilepsy. I was on it for 8 years (2000-2008) and during that time, the side effect of the Klonopin was mis-diagnosed as depression and I was put on Zoloft, Effexor, and eventually Seroquel as well. Once it was determined that I did not have epilepsy, I was taken off the Klonopin cold-turkey. That was five moths ago.

Mainly to treat my anxiety because i have not been able to stop the klonopin. i am taking 1 mg at night because it seems as though the seroquel has a paridoxial effect and i have a panick attack within an hour of taking it. not to mention that although my depression is MUCH better on the seroquel, i still dont have my life back. i still dont go out and live life like i used to. i constantly avoid and reschedule appointments just so i dont have to leave the house.

I currently on Lamictal, Neurontin, and Klonopin. However, there has been discussion of weaning off of the latter medications and adding a mood stabilizer to the mix. However, I am very sensitive to medication; Seroquel kicked me into a manic episode. Given this fact, what are some of the effective mood stabilizers for mania? What are some of your experiences with said stabilizers?

ve been buying Valium illegally (taking up to 20 MG per day, in addition to my Klonopin), buying Seroquel illegally (for sleep, even though my doctor has prescribed 3 MGs of Lunesta nightly for sleep; right now I'm taking 100 MGs of Seroquel and 3 MGs of Lunesta every night), drinking more (God knows how much), smoking more (I've been blowing through about a quarter of Marijuana per week)... I don't know what to do... I didn't know getting off of Klonopin would be this hard...

I'm taking a LEXAPRO 30mg, KLONOPIN 5mg and SEROQUEL 25mg cocktail everyday for my Depression/Panic Disorder/Anxiety and I can barley stay awake. I feel like a zombie. True I don't want to kill Myself anymore. But I don't really feel alive anymore either.

I have taken seroquel since I was 17 and I am now 24. Usually a doctor will start you off on a lower dose from 25 mg to 100 mg. It makes you really sleepy so don't drive. But it does help with anxiety and insomnia and bad dreams. I am now at 600 mg. Over long periods of time u will get immune to lower doses. I take seroquel xr which is extended release where u take it at night and the benefits last all day. Not just at night. U won't be sleepy all day, just at night when u first take it.

Just wondering, what are the effects of Suboxone, Seroquel and Klonopin? He is on 12 mg of suboxone daily, and is prescribed 2 mg of Klonopin but he is abusing that already and taking about 20 mg of the klonopin. I am not overly worried, just because he was taking about 350 mg of valium a day before going on the sub a month ago, but of course there is some concern. Any input would be greatly appreciated. As long as you know where your levels are For me lithium alone was not enough,,so I also take Seroquel and Lamictal and I have Klonopin as needed I am Bipolar1 rapid cycler Congrats on getting clean

Hi. I am bipolar and currently taking Lithium, Neurontin, Seroquel & Lamictal. I have only been on the Lamictal for about 7 weeks, starting @ 25mg & every 2 weeks adding another 25mg; thus I am currently @ 100mg per day.

I would want to know from the members of this forum about how many people are using Seroquel only as a sleeping aid in doses of 25 mg and 50 mg.All suggestions and answers are welcome.

I am on 30 mg of lexapro and 1 mg of klonopin 3 times a day ( klonopin) we switched to lexapro several months ago as I was on prozac and was a mess! So far I have been doing better, just a little anxiety when I first wake up. Not sure if this was normal or not.

In November he prescribed Klonopin to help relieve horrible anxiety attacks I was experiencing daily related to work and my appearance. (I do see a therapist, btw). My reaction to the med has been Terrible due to confusion, speech problems, and falling. I wound up in the hospital for two days suspected of having a stroke. Then I was put on medical leave by my employer after an unsuccessful return in Jan. It's a big mess, financially and emotionally.

any info at all on this med would be helpful............also im on klonopin and 1/2 of a 25 mg seroquel(as needed for sleep) I dont think i like how the seroquel makes me feel.............the dr said lamictal should help my depression...........i was on abilify and i feel i gained weight on it plus develepoed awful dizziness had to stop it after 3 months.

You are the first person I have seen here other than myself who takes seroquel. I take it in conjunction with klonopin, tramadol, zoloft, and vistiril. I suspect that your seroquel has been added to other meds you take? This is not ordinarily the first drug a doctor will try for psychotic problems. I, too have bad memory, and I know it is from these drugs, after having been on them plenty long enough.

If you get too anxious shift to Klonopin as it is helping me as my new doc shifted me from Xanax to Klonopin as I was having anxiety with Xanax.And He is continuing Seroquel 50 mg for anxiety. Please dont stop meds.It wont do you any good.Either try a MS like Trileptal,Depakote or Seroquel at thereuptic level.Best of luck.

I am prescribed 150mg of zoloft and 3mg of klonopin a day. Some days I take 2mg some days I take the 3. I am 24 years old and I don think I want to be on the Klonopin my whole life. Luckily I have a psychiatrist who has slow tapering plans he has told me about. He isnt the drive by shrink we often hear about these days.The horror stories I read and hear and what i hear about Xanax scare me from starting the process b/c They are both in the benzo family.
