Common Questions and Answers about Sensitive skin moisturizer reviews

Avatar n tn I've had 'sensitive' skin for the past 30 years - at least that's how my mother explained it and until I saw this site what I believed. It's hard to explain to someone what it's like to have spiderwebs brush across your skin willy-nilly. I get the sensations everywhere I have skin - sometimes I think it's where I don't have skin too! I suffer from allergies, crohns disease and depression. I'm on asacol & cipralex.
Avatar n tn The best one is the white one, the easiest to find is the pink squeezy bottle version. It is the best as it contains moisturising lotion, developed for sensitive skin. Soap free & pH skin-neutral. Tested by dermatologists. I use it for my entire body and face. I even wash my hair with it. if you use shampoo in he shower for example, use the body wash afterwards as it will remoisturise body after the shampoo has run down your body.
Avatar f tn He said that if we have to have him come back a third time, he would bring his supervisor to try to determine the problem and suggested that the problem might be skin mites. We have cleaned our house with bleach and wash our clothes with Borax and vacuum on a regular basis but this problem still persists. My husband said that he feels something jumping on him every once in a while, but nothing like what I have been experiencing, and my daughter says that she feels nothing.
Avatar n tn I am 44 years old, and have gone, in 2 weeks, from having 44 year old skin to skin of a 60 year old. Could someone please help? I'm very distressed.
Avatar m tn Three days ago I started feeling like whatever this was is now in my skin (I'm certain of it), It's under the skin on my face, my scalp, my back, my toes, and my feet. I can feel it crawling in and out of my anus at times also. Went to the dermatoligist today and of couse he says it's my imagination, some people get it. He's subscribed me some DEXEPIN for depression. :( Funny thing is I'm not depressed, my life was quite good until this bug showed up.
Avatar f tn I tried to remove one with tweezers, and it was very tacky (as in sticky) and clearly goes deep under the skin. Part of it broke off but I could still see that the pore was plugged and a day or two later top of the plug was sticking out again. i can't find ANYTHING online that looks like it.
Avatar f tn I have super sensitive skin as well. My skin is also very dry. My favorite product so far is Aveeno's tinted moisturizer. Its a bit pricey but definitely worth the money.
Avatar m tn I am a 27 year old female. I have normal sensitive skin. My skin is neither prone to acne nor am I suffering from wrinkles or scars. I faced acne problems some time back as I got allergic towards some very oily moisturizer that I had used previously. As per my dermatologist's prescription I used retin A 0.025 for some time. I got rid of acne and due to peeling of skin (as a result of retin A usage) my skin got lighter as the outer tanned layer got removed.
Avatar n tn I have the same issue as you. I have very deep setted eyes, and the skin around them is very thin and sensitive. Is this a problem you have gotten recently or something you were born with? With me it's hereditary, and not much I can do. I use a heavy moisturizer, also a cream by Benefit called Eyecon it has a lightening agent in it. Also, tons of industrial strenght concealer. All seems to help and make me not look like a

4641167 tn?1357925986 Can you tell me your experience with it? I have a very sensitive skin but I see in the reviews that it has a good coverage and benefits. I want to know if there are any negative effects on the skin as well. Will it cause breakout? Thanks!
9464876 tn?1403933649 Use only gentle cleansers. Cetaphil for sensitive skin is loved by many acne sufferers, I used a gentle and all natural face cleansing regime called Karen Farley, made in New Zealand where I live and available for purchase online, but Cetaphil is fine. Stop using harsh cleansers they are too drying, it will irritate your skin stressing out your pores, which need to heal after a pimple and need gentle treatment.
435139 tn?1255463991 I used all of these products on my daughter and we ended up with aveeno or cetaphil in the end! She does have sensitive skin, but I think if I was using one of these from the start her skin would have been fine. It was never horrible by any means, but the others are more drying, not to mention that johnson & johnson products have a form of novacaine in them to keep the soap from burning the babies eyes~I got rid of it as soon as I found that out!!
Avatar n tn There are several out there online that I found, can you tell me which one? Hyaluronic Eye Cream - reviews say good for sensitive skin but does not absorb easily Ceramide Eye Gel Ceramide Eye CREAM - read reviews that it causes people allergic reactions, dryness and swelling Dermonectin Eye Cream Thanks in advance!
362888 tn?1203267889 I think Cetaphil is for people with rare cases of acne and have very sensitive skin. Back to Daniel Kern products. I used to do the lathering of the treatment all over my face like he wants you to. I stopped doing that and just apply a thin layer and it works great. The very best part of all of his products is that they feel very pure. The cleanser doesn't feel all chemically from perfumes and coloring like a lot of store bought cleansers do. It's not harsh, nor is it too gentle.
Avatar n tn I was wondering if maybe the stridex reacted with my ponds makeup romoving clothes but now last night i used ponds face cream that is hypoallergenic for sensitive skin adn here i sti looking like a zombie with ichy swollen skin this is crazy!! I need help!!
Avatar m tn I’m fairly certain that what I am dealing with now is red skin syndrome or topical steroid withdrawal. I never once had any issues with my skin prior to using to using topical steroids. Betamethasone is a very potent steroid too and should NOT be used for fungal infections on the penis. I cannot describe to you the anger I have towards the doctor who prescribed this to me without any regard for side effects.
Avatar f tn Wash face with Selenium Sulfide (Selsun Blue $7) only once a day. Apply light skin-sensitive moisturizer to sensitive skin. Don't scratch. Change bath and facial towels often. Use clean razors. Sleep on clean bedding. Keep your face clean and dry. Apply SPF 30+ lotion before going outside during the day.
Avatar n tn org/wiki/Chapped_lips I would also try and cut back on the usage of chapstick just because, just from my own personal experience, when I use my chapstick too often i end up with more of a chapped lip if i forget my chapstick at home or i just don't have it with me. As for an allergic reaction to burt's bees, some people have very sensitive skin/lips and are irritated (not allergic) to the peppermint in the chapstick.
Avatar f tn I've tried EVERY product (including sensitive/unscented/anti-itch) and all they do is leave a film on my skin that makes it worse. I exfoliate everyday with a loofa (to save money other then buying body scrubs), yesterday I even exfoliated in a bath of salt water. I still got itchy! Then, last night, I was watching "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" and you know how the father uses Windex as a cure for everything? Well, I figured that that made sense.
280418 tn?1306329510 I use a cleanser with salicyc acid, and the aveeno clear skin moisturizer. Although my skin is nearly clear, I've also recently started taking a supplement called Acneticin, I've read many things on the internet and this is suppose to be a great internal treatment for acne. I am finally starting to feel comfortable in my own skin again! Hope this helps you or anyone else who's having similar problems.
Avatar n tn H's normalizing Day oils as a moisturizer. My skin never looked clearer!!!!!! Also, I often cover my face in Neem when I'm in the tub or shower and rinse it (not wash) off as well. It leaves just enough behind and works for me well. Neem has antibacterial and anti inflammatory properties but it STINKS!!! I hope some of this information helps!!
948349 tn?1294383837 Peroxide Gel (CVS), lets this dry - a thin layer, then when his skin is dry he uses Neutrogena OIL-FREE moisturizer for sensitive skin. His skin is almost clear -haven't seen this in 3 years! He is doing great - not sure what is doing this, but I think all this has contributed. Not too hard! Good luck to all you acne sufferers -- HOPE this HELPS !! from a mom who cares!
Avatar n tn Since then however, I have been using some Garnier make-up wipes, made for sensitive skin and the problem seemed to get a bit better, although eyeshadow was still strictly off-limits. But then, last Sunday, my eyes had gone back to their previous state, of being very red and sore. I hadn't worn any make-up or used any products on or near my eyes at all on Sunday, so I'm confused as to what caused it to return.
Avatar n tn I was following the reports from someone under the name bbally who was having his skin cultured to check for possible fungus or bacteria. The comment thread was unexpectedly closed and I have not seen any comment from him since. Myself I am trying an antibiotic cream and see if it works. I know that water makes it worse, but not so sure about sea water.
Avatar n tn the talk may be rough and tumble at time, including abuse to both dertmatologists and cats :) ------------------------------------------------------------------- I'll check back later...
Avatar f tn So I would advise a younger woman if you have sensitive skin (I'm Irish so I do) and you plan to swim for many years and if you want to avoid "goggle eyes", consider skipping the goggles and wear a mask. A mask will also leave marks but it will be on the parts of your face where the skin is thicker, the cheeks and the forehead.
Avatar f tn However, evening primrose oil offers a wide array of purported benefits, including treating many ailments like breast pain, hot flashes, premenstrual symptoms (PMS), skin disorders, rheumatoid arthritis, and hormonal imbalance. The Evening Primrose is a wildflower (not actually a primrose, though it is similar in appearance). Evening primrose oil is derived from the seeds of the plant.
363243 tn?1331037450 I use tend skin after shaving, proactive repairing lotion daily and a sentive skin facial moisturizer, and get laser treatment about every 3 months. The laser works wonder on ingrown hairs. The Proactive repairing lotion also helps reduce them. My self esteem is shot, not only because of the hirsutism, but other things too, like the fact that I can not naturally reproduce due to losing my tubes.
Avatar n tn Hi, This does seem to be an allergic reaction which is manifesting as rash/hives. Hives are raised, often itchy, red welts on the surface of the skin. When you have an allergic reaction to a substance, histamine and other chemicals are released into your bloodstream, causing itching, swelling, and other symptoms. The common triggers are medications, foods (shellfish, fish, nuts, eggs, milk, and other foods), pollen and insect bites.
