568343 tn?1217862660 Hi, earlier you had partial seizures which mean electric discheage affecting one part of brain only but now they have become generalized i.e. asynchrony or discharge affects both sides of brain. “These seizures are called "secondarily generalized" because they only become generalized (spread to both sides of the brain) after the initial or "primary" event, a partial seizure, has already begun.
990354 tn?1307132886 Seizures (convulsions) have occurred in some people taking tramadol. You may be more likely to have a seizure while taking tramadol if you have a history of seizures or head injury, a metabolic disorder, or if you are taking certain medicines such as antidepressants, muscle relaxers, or medicine for nausea and vomiting. Take tramadol exactly as it was prescribed for you. Do not take it in larger doses or for longer than recommended by your doctor.
Avatar f tn You really need your pediatric neurologist to evaluate your baby for the type of seizure. My newborn had seizures during his first week and is on seizure control meds (phenobarbitol) to control it. Seizures were different, however. Try not to worry, you probably need medications to control them. They might want to do an MRI and CT scan to verify any brain damage...

Avatar f tn It showed lesions on my brain in the parahippocampal and right temporal horn region. I was put on seizure medication and I still am not convinced that I have seizures. Medicine doesn't really help. Recently I have been uncoordinated. I get dizzy then my limbs and head feel very heavy. I get very weak. Always feels like my head is floating yet heavy. Spots in my left eye and sometimes my right but eye exam ok.
Avatar n tn My 9 yr old was diagnosed with seizure disorder last week after stress EEG showed multiple abnormal firings in left parietal lobe. MD states that it is most definitely seizure activity/disorder. His symptoms are so vague, though, that we often don't know when he is having a seizure, or what to do. We only seem to know for sure that he had a seizure after the fact, because he sleeps 3-7 hours.
Avatar f tn It could be epilepsy, but the fact that, from the way you mentioned it, the head banging somewhat woke you up does not point toward a seizure because usually when you come out of a seizure, you are confused, extremely tired, and sore. Also, you wouldn't be able to be woken up from the head banging. Although, the fact that the shower nob held up your head by hair would be suspicious of something more than fainting...
Avatar f tn This will not last for more than maybe 5-10 seconds. No other symptoms. He has been doing this since he was about 10 months old. Could this be a seizure and should we take him to his doctor?

Avatar f tn I'm 30 weeks and so very excited but along with the building excitement comes many MANY worries. I'm 18 and my fiancé is 20. We've been together since he was 17 and he's truly an amazing man. We have our own place so our baby has his own room! He's the only one who works because back in march I was diagnosed with Epilepsy. I haven't had a seizure for my entire pregnancy so the Epilepsy isn't much of a problem.
